having enjoyed thinking of all the bad films I've seen, I'd love to know what film do you still watch, even though you know the script off by heart?
Grand Budapest Hotel for me (even though I really dislike the rest of Wes Anderson's films)

The Fugitive

I never tire of watching Dr Richard Kimble clear his name.

Leighcloon · 06/02/2022 16:05

@Viviennemary

I forgot

Green Card
Gone with the Wind
Along came Polly (mad but funny)
He's not that into you

I love Green Card (despite because of? it being fairly clear that Gerald Dépardieu had no idea what some of his lines meant), but I haven't seen it in years! Is it available anywhere?
StrychnineIntheSandwiches · 06/02/2022 16:15

Oh I loved Green Card too! (looks like it's on disney +)

I love all those kinds of films set in NYC like Working Girl, Crossing Delancey, Baby Boom, Tootsie...

duckme · 06/02/2022 16:19

Jurassic Park (1 and 2 but absolutely not 3). Jurassic World.
Couples Retreat
Oceans 11 and 13 and 8
Devil wears Prada
Ghostbusters (the female cast).
Bad Moms
Iron Man 1, 2 and 3

There are a couple of what would be considered to be crappy films in there, but I will always watch them when they're on.

duckme · 06/02/2022 16:22

@Viviennemary

Braveheart All jurassic park Tootsie Seven brides for seven brothers First three Harry Potter Bridget Jones

I dont watch many films I havent seen before.

I watch a lot of films repeatedly, same with TV shows. I'm sure there's something in that.
lumpofcomfort · 06/02/2022 16:26

The Sound of Music
Calamity Jane

I used to watch them over and over again as a child. Now DD watches them with me every Christmas as they are always on TV.

@DowntheTown

About Time. Love it and return to it frequently. Though as my mum died not so long ago, I’m having a break before I watch it again. Tried GBHotel other night with my 15yo and we struggled and stopped. Guess we should try again?
Nah it's shite. Don't bother.
HopingForMyRainbowBaby · 07/02/2022 19:29

@lavender2022

I need to watch Trainspotting. It's not from my era but my mum claims it's a bloody brilliant movie. She's never been wrong when it comes to TV show/movie recommendations. Child-free until tomorrow afternoon so I'm settling down with a nice cuppa and gonna watch it online (legally, of course!) 🤨🙄
Do you have Netflix? It's on there at the moment
