having enjoyed thinking of all the bad films I've seen, I'd love to know what film do you still watch, even though you know the script off by heart?
Grand Budapest Hotel for me (even though I really dislike the rest of Wes Anderson's films)

Films I have watched on repeat are Baz Luhrman's Romeo & Juliet and The Godfather.

I had the video cassette of the former and put it straight in the machine after school every day when I was fifteen. Borrowed rhe DVD of the latter and watched it at least once a day for a few months when I was a student. I didn't give them my full attention as I did homework / studied at the same time, but I just loved the ambience of them, so had them on all the time!

I watched Withnail and I a lot too, but the other two were the ones I just watched over and over with no breaks. I think I'm a but odd actually - that isn't normal is it Confused?

@Keladrythesaviour

The Walk - with Michael Sheen and James Nesbitt et al. Makes.me cry every time but I'm just obsessed with the idea of doing a life changing walk, and the way it changed Sheen's character's mindset etc. Just fabulous.
Do you mean The Way ? About the Camino De Santiago. It is Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez - very much an Estevez family project. It is a brilliant film and I’ve watched a few times.

I also love Angels Share but I’ve watched Die Hard and Hot Fuzz many many times and can watch again and again without fear of boredom.

clopper · 06/02/2022 10:39

World war z, The Shawshank Redemption, Snatch, Sleepers, Oceans 11, all Harry Potter films(except for the Deathly Hallows part 1), the first Hobbit film, Lord of the rings films 1and 2, Mission impossible 1, Saving Private Ryan and Terminator 2. I like a big action film.
Kids films I like are The Prince of Egypt ( for the soundtrack), Toy Story, Willy Wonka ( the original) and both Paddington films. I could watch all of these on a loop and no others to be honest.

clopper · 06/02/2022 10:40

characterforming how could I forget Hot Fuzz?

NightmareSlashDelightful · 06/02/2022 10:41

Clue. (The 1980s farce based on the Clue/Cluedo game.)

It's just so gloriously bonkers.

'Why is J. Edgar Hoover on your phone?'
'I don't know. He's on everyone else's, why shouldn't he be on mine?'

MintMe · 06/02/2022 10:43

When given an evening alone without my husband, it's always Pitch Perfect.

@DowntheTown

About Time. Love it and return to it frequently. Though as my mum died not so long ago, I’m having a break before I watch it again. Tried GBHotel other night with my 15yo and we struggled and stopped. Guess we should try again?

The secret life of Walter Mitty

I love the escapism of it, leaving the boring life behind and challenging yourself. That his real life becomes better than his fantasy life.
