Buried ( Ryan reynaulds) the entire film is him buried in a coffin and that's it.

Fight Club

Face/Off

Mama Mia

No idea of the name but some wank where a chauffeur has a ridiculous night of crime and gunfights and ends up with Jessica Alba. Every woman in the film bar her is topless and / or completely objectified. I was so angry when it was done that I almost finished with DP for i) liking it himself and especially ii) thinking for one second it was something that I would enjoy. Dick still angry

Anything with Sarah Jessica Parker in, because she looks like the before picture at a chiropodist and I can't focus on anything else.

Starlighter · 20/08/2018 20:22

Anger Management. Such an annoying and quite sadistic film!

So underwhelmed by LaLa Land too.

There are a few on this thread that I really like though! Love Actually, ET, Titanic and Mamma MIA... Blush

SillySallySingsSongs · 20/08/2018 20:25

Mama Mia and La La Land

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 20/08/2018 20:30

There are so many, but Mama mia was so hyped yet so shite with all that overacting and singing bollocks hated it.

BabloHoney · 20/08/2018 20:32

Anything with Nicholas Cage in.

toothtruth · 20/08/2018 20:35

Love that Mark Kermode rant!!
I love loads of these films listed!
I did like Black Swan and I dont usually like his films... Pi was okay I guess...
but that leads me to my 'worst film' which is 'Mother!'

I hated it so much. It was really disappointing. It sounded so interesting but just fell really flat on me.... I loved Michelle Pfiefer in it.
I just thought it was really didactic and with some A level bullshit version of religion, philosophy and 'save the earth'.... and trying to be darkly comic but just being nasty and cold. It felt like being cornered by some really stoned guy at a sixth form party whos trying to explain The Artistic Process to you and talks over any response you give and invades your personal space by putting his hand on your thigh....

And I saw it at the cinema and paid a tenner for the pleasure... and extra if you count the babysitter id had to pay to be there.
I was pissed off.

You know a film is bad when someone smashes a babies head to bits and you just sit there bored and mildly irritated.

GooodMythicalMorning · 20/08/2018 20:36

The notebook or phone booth

HiGunny · 20/08/2018 20:40

Dogsville with Nicole Kidman. Half the cinema left during it (me included). It was soooooo boring.

Moomicorn · 20/08/2018 20:41

The Lobster. We switched it off when one of the characters started kicking a dog to death.

I’ve seen lads of crappy movies you can end up having a real laugh watching but that was grim.

TreasureInMyTummy · 20/08/2018 20:41

Titanic 2 hahaha

OutrageousFlavourLikeFreesias · 20/08/2018 20:43

I'm not sure if I'm doing this right because I absolutely love the worst film I've ever seen. Samurai Cop. Appalling production values, a nonsensical plot, dreadful editing and sound work, a stupid resolution and the world's biggest mullet. I cried with laughter the first time I saw it.

waxy1 · 20/08/2018 20:49

Plan 9 From Outer Space isn’t very good.

Crystalblue13 · 20/08/2018 20:54

The hills have eyes
Hostel
They’re just sick

Quickerthanavicar · 20/08/2018 20:58

Jackie Brown.

haverhill · 20/08/2018 20:58

I love some of the films mentioned on here! Grin
Mama Mia was just dreadful though.

Elderflower14 · 20/08/2018 20:59

I've walked out of three films.
1.Evil Dead 2. Walked out before I was thrown out for 😱!

  1. Remake of Pink Panther. An insult to the memory of Peter Sellers.
  2. Remake of True Grit.. Got pissed off trying to understand what the bloody hell Jeff Bridges was muttering. How the hell did he get an Oscar nomination for that?? 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄
margotsdevil · 20/08/2018 21:02

Event Horizon. And I say that as someone who enjoys sci-fi...

KellyBailey · 20/08/2018 21:06

Avatar. Hated it, so dull.

Frosty6611 · 20/08/2018 21:06

I saw one called Mother! at the weekend (has Jennifer Lawrence in it). It was beyond weird!

Also hated Mamma Mia and don’t understand how it was so successful.

A few others I hated:
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Potato Peel Society
Assassins Creed
The Moomins Movie
My Cousin Rachel
Macbeth

Frosty6611 · 20/08/2018 21:09

Oh and I also hated Silver Linings Playbook and Moonlight. Don’t get why they both won awards. Beyond dull to watch!

Yutes · 20/08/2018 21:09

Noah
Officially the most depressing film I’ve ever seen

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 20/08/2018 21:11

seconding Vanilla Sky....

Also AI which was just really dull sci-fi crap.....and even worse I kept thinking it was going to end but it never did (at least that's how it felt)

And It Follows, which I don't get, some people rave about it, but it's a horror film about something just walking behind you.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 20/08/2018 21:12

The Blair Witch Project. I left the cinema and went to the pub instead I don't need to watch a film that's more boring than my own life

Frosty6611 · 20/08/2018 21:17

@yutes agree that Noah was dreadful!
@closedaura I posted on here once wanting to know some good horror recommendations and loads of people said It Follows. It was a pile a shite!

CowInTheMeadow · 20/08/2018 21:22

Definitely agree with loads of these already mentioned, especially AI, LA Confidential and The Bodyguard.

I'm not sure if it's the worst film I've seen, but certainly the most overrated: The Godfather. I couldn't understand a word they were saying most of the time so if there was a plot, it was lost on me.
