Buried ( Ryan reynaulds) the entire film is him buried in a coffin and that's it.

Open Water - literally a person floating in the sea for two hours

I am surprised by everyone saying Mamma Mia - it was meant to be badly sung and acted, that was the whole point! It’s so feel good! The first one, not the second.

Omgineedanamechange · 20/08/2018 21:23

AI , Pacific Rim and Ghosts of Mars. Utter drivel the lot of them.

ClaudiaNaughton · 20/08/2018 21:36

Mama Mia. Total cringe fest.

Angie169 · 20/08/2018 21:43

I can not believe that nobody has mentioned Flash Gordon yet !
( or did I just miss reading it )
My god that was a crap film

Bella898 · 20/08/2018 21:47
  1. Any musical ever
  2. Any film with Slyvestor Stalone
  3. Pacific Rim job
abbsisspartacus · 20/08/2018 21:54

Gamer there are no words to describe some scenes

Watchmen

I stopped going to the cinema to pay for this shite after these

ConstantlyCooking · 20/08/2018 22:15

Absolute Beginners- awful
Vanilla Sky equally awful
Hours of my life lost in the cinema.

GreyGauntlet · 20/08/2018 22:26

I think there are bad films like Mamma Mia and Noah and The Bodyguard and You've Got Mail. Also in this category: Pretty Woman, American Pie, Sex and the City 2, Notting Hill, Pearl Harbor.

And then there are films which are probably good but I just don't like them like LaLa Land, Call Me By My Name, Baby Driver, Inception, The Matrix, The Aviator, Wolf of Wall Street, Kill Bill, About Time.

ginghamstarfish · 20/08/2018 22:36

Pretty Woman - the only time I've walked out of a cinema. What utter crap .. what a message to give to impressionable young girls - hey, don't bother using your brain, furthering your education or having any self-respect, just become a prostitute and stand around on street corners, that's how you meet a handsome millionaire who will fall in love with you. WTF?

Seniorschoolmum · 20/08/2018 22:50

Hitch hikers guide.

Basic plot was man has bad day, man goes for walk, man goes home.

I went to sleep. My ex was furious and swore I did it on purpose but I found it too dull for words. I was obviously missing something. Smile

Coco2891 · 20/08/2018 22:50

GRIMSBY ! Omg worse thing I've ever ever seen 🙅‍♀️

Seniorschoolmum · 20/08/2018 22:53

Seconding Phone Booth.

tabulahrasa · 20/08/2018 23:10

Knowing - it still makes me angry Angry

I didn’t expect it to be good, I just expected it to be Nicolas cage in a bad thriller type bad... which it was right up until the last 5 minutes.

Then suddenly unexpected, never before hinted at or foreshadowed in any way aliens turn up and take away a few selected children to some sort of alien garden of Eden.

What The Actual Fuck??????!!!!!!!

It’s like they literally didn’t know how to end it so threw aliens at it.

NoSuchThingAsAlpha · 20/08/2018 23:18

I like quite a few of those listed so far (Pacific Rim, Knowing, Phone Booth etc), but I do have a perverse love of shite movies.

My worst film ever is The English Patient. Mind-numbingly uninteresting, with entirely unsympathetic main characters. I hate it so much, I genuinely think less of people who like it (sorry).

m0therofdragons · 20/08/2018 23:22

Girl with a pearl earring is definitely up there in time of my life I'll never get back.

MargaretDribble · 20/08/2018 23:26

The Magic Roundabout. I wondered how it would work as a film. It didn't.
Jumanji 😱

BeefyCakes · 20/08/2018 23:28

Isle of Dogs. Shit the bed what a pile of absolute wank.

What lies beneath and domestic disturbance. Will never get either of the 30 minutes I lasted in the cinema.

JacNaylor · 20/08/2018 23:48

"White men can't jump" seemed like every other line in it was "shut the fuck up!" With very little in between.

Backbeat, was really excited to see it but it was strange and dark with too much muttering.

stillsingingintherain · 20/08/2018 23:50

Fences! So so dull..

Dilligaf81 · 20/08/2018 23:58

Vanilla sky. What a croc of shite. Then pretentious arse's saying "You just don't get the concept''. I'm not thick just thought it was a truly awful film.

bringincrazyback · 21/08/2018 00:01

Mr & Mrs Smith - completely implausible drivel.
Mulholland Drive - inexplicable. (And an honourable mention to Donny Darko in the same category)
Worst movie in terms of shit-this-is-so-awful-why-the-hell-am-I-watching it: Sex Lives of the Potato Men. Awful, awful, awful.

BayTrees · 21/08/2018 00:15

Can't believe no one has said 27 dresses. I can't stand rom com and actively avoid it so there may well be worse that I've not seen, but this was horrendous.
Plan 9 from outer space on the other hand is in the so-bad-its-good category though I've never managed to watch it in one sitting. Also, inspired a song by The Damned which can't be a bad thing.

craftymum01 · 21/08/2018 00:16

I've only ever walked out of the cinema once and that was half way through Will Smith's Wild Wild West. Utter shite.

There are so many films I hate though. Usually once people have gone on and on about saying how amazing they are: Pearl Harbour, Gravity, Armageddon, 12 years a slave, Love actually, Dream girls (film and stage show), Oh brother where art thou? There are so many I can't think
