Buried ( Ryan reynaulds) the entire film is him buried in a coffin and that's it.

OP posts:

Cowboys and Aliens. Even the tiniest, tiniest injection of some humour would have lifted it. How did a film about aliens in the old west take itself so seriously?

TheSandman · 04/02/2020 15:01

La Dolce Vita

What! What!!!! But Christ on a stick! La Dolce Vita is brilliant - which I guess just proves your point.

Films to avoid recently placed in my unwatchable crap pile include Voodoo Academy - a homoerotic horror film which was neither sexy or horrifying - though some of the actors' performances were.

Highlander 5: The Source - which is UNBELIEVABLY terrible.

Bula Quo - the band Status Quo foil organ harvesters in the Caribbean.

Nurse 3D - shitting awful lesbian psycho-nurse slasher shite.

B.E.I.N.G. - alien cop in the body of an executed child molester hunts down other aliens who swap host human bodies by vomiting on each other.

You guys just have no idea....

I am old so probably most MNers will be too young to know about this one but, in the 1970s, BARRY LYNDON (Stanley Kubrick film) went on and on and on with many shots of beautiful countryside (Irish, I think) - Ryan O'Neal was Barry Lyndon and it was interminable.

TheSandman · 06/02/2020 07:44

Barry Lyndon. Saw it in the cinema - a double bill with Ridley Scott's first feature The Dualists. I loved it.

The one film I did have trouble with the lack of much-going-oness in it was Kurosawa's Dersu Uazla. Bored me rigid. I've been meaning to give it a second look for a couple of decades in case I was wrong.

Boxing Helena

If you haven't seen this travesty of a film, count yourself lucky.

Dagnabit · 18/02/2020 20:44

Down with Love. Envy

FishCanFly · 25/02/2020 12:46

Hellboy 3. What utter trash.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 04/03/2020 23:07

Out of Arrfricccaa. Michael Kitchen was the only bearable thing about it and even he couldn't save it. Worst film Streep (or Redford) ever made .

Forrest Gump - gave up after about 10 minutes. Absolutely puerile.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 04/03/2020 23:09

Boxing Helena

OMG I have never heard of anyone who actually saw it!

TheSandman · 05/03/2020 00:48

I saw it!

TheSandman · 05/03/2020 00:59

Boxing Helena wasn't the best film I've ever seen but no way was it a 'travesty'. Watching Julian Sands dialling everything up to eleven at the drop of a hat is always fun. Peak Sands would have to be Ken Russel's bonkers Gothic and his total fruitloop turn in Warlock where he and Richard E Grant get into a real scenery chewing competition. Great stuff.

Shopkinsdoll · 29/03/2020 23:26

The drone

EllaAlright · 02/04/2020 08:36

Can’t think what’s its called. But it’s got Jake gylenhall in, and tarantulas, think it’s called enemy actually. Terrible terrible film, which is a shame as my favourite film of all time is source code, which he’s also in.

Toddlerteaplease · 25/04/2020 21:47

Currently watching Mr Turner, the grunting is so annoying. Didn't understand a word he said for the first 20 minutes. It's so boring!

LifeIsBrutal · 02/05/2020 11:54

Passion Play with Megan Fox. It has a rating of 3% on Rotten Tomatoes. I can't believe someone read the script and decided it was worth financing.

mexicanracer · 22/05/2020 15:40

Pebblespony I have to agree Rubber was utter pants! So bad in fact I laughed!

mexicanracer · 22/05/2020 15:47

And can I add, Zombie Strippers is a serious 'who the fuck was that bored out of their tree they decided to pen this story'🤔

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 30/05/2020 20:11

The Happening..it could've been so well done. Know storyline was odd anyway but still could've been..not what it turned out to be.

Lozz22 · 01/07/2020 14:14

The grand Budapest hotel. I think everyone else in the cinema had the same opinion too cos most of us woke up as the credits were rolling at the end Grin

TheSandman · 06/07/2020 02:34

It was based, believe it or not, on a 1950s Absurdist French Play called Rhinocéros by Eugène Ionesco and, utterly crappy though it is, it's nothing like as bad as Lesbian Vampire Killers.

Lubis13 · 10/07/2020 08:02

Son of the mask is considered by many, including myself, to be the absolute worst movie ever ever made.

It isn't funny, makes no sense, is incredibly stupid, just has no redeeming features at all.

MrsZola · 15/08/2020 21:24

Hostel - so disturbing, I turned it off. What I did see, I can't unsee.😢
Eraserhead - 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 22/08/2020 07:52

Sadly some good films mentioned here especially Little Miss Sunshine, love that movie. The Room and The Disaster Artist which is based on The Room are so bad but brilliant at the same time.
However there are so many crap movies to name and mention but I’d have to say:
Mamma Mia
Cats
La La Land
Love Actually
Moonlight
Sex and The City movies
Red Sparrow
Shakespeare in Love
Green Lantern
Mother
Phone booth
Mr. & Mrs. Smith
He’s Just Not That into You

Votesforpedro · 12/09/2020 16:00

Lala land - the casting was awful along with the confused musical element
