Who's seen it?
I went this evening and really enjoyed it. Laughed out loud, thought soundtrack was excellent too.
So, who would you do? Mark or Jack?

Just got back, can't remember the last time I laughed so much at a film. Mark.

Lessthanaballpark · 16/09/2016 23:08

Who does she end up with? PM me please! I can't stand to watch a film without knowing the outcome Confused

BettyCrystal · 16/09/2016 23:10

Edge of Reason was on telly couple of days ago. So funny!
Lived in London in the 90s, feel like Bridget is a part of me...
Looking forward to new movie. Going with Mum next week.

BlackDoglet · 16/09/2016 23:13

Whoknows yes, Mark for me too. But I wouldn't say a definite No to Jack...

Really looking forward to seeing this - just a bit worried that Renee's had a little bit too much something done and Bridget isn't going to look like Bridget. Tell me it's all OK??

BlackDoglet · 16/09/2016 23:14

Sir it's absolutely fine, still the same Bridget !

Brilliant film, I laughed lots! As did most of the cinema.

I'd definitely rather have jack, any day!

SirChenjin · 16/09/2016 23:18

Phew!! Grin

ArthurFoulkesayce · 17/09/2016 16:06

I loved it! Best film of the three!!

jay55 · 17/09/2016 16:31

Was such a fun film. Lovely to see all the familiar faces.
Really nice to have the men besotted with a woman over 40 too.

BlackDoglet · 17/09/2016 18:27

Jay - I agree. Great to see the ''older' women shagging like crazy too!

I really want to see it but I don't have anyone to go with Sad

ArthurFoulkesayce · 17/09/2016 18:38

coming go on your own! I love going on my own!

SirChenjin · 17/09/2016 19:01

I'm going to see it later this evening - really looking forward to it! Smile

SirChenjin · 17/09/2016 23:02

Just back - brilliant film! Scene on the way to hospital is hilarious GrinGrin

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 17/09/2016 23:04

I'm planning to see it,is this the 3rd film? I read the book and when I saw the trailer it looked like a completely different storyConfused

allnewredfairy · 17/09/2016 23:24

It is a completely different story and covers the period before the book starts.
I enjoyed the film but was a bit Hmm about Renee's face. It distracted me from the film if I'm honest.
I think I'm getting prudish in my old old age as I was a bit cat's bum over the casual sex then disappointed by Bridget's handling of the 'paternity situation' ( sorry, don't want to give any storyline away)
I did enjoy it but still prefer the original more.

SirChenjin · 17/09/2016 23:36

I know what you mean about her face - but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I think it was more of a shock to see how much they have all aged since the 1st one - although it was, what, 15 years ago, so quite why I should be shocked I don't know. Probably because I'm of similar ages to so many of the cast and can't believe how much other people have aged! HmmGrin

KERALA1 · 17/09/2016 23:40

Supposed to go with friends in week but went with Dh - he loves rom comes though pretends he is just keeping me company. Laughed out loud - a must see.

Groovee · 17/09/2016 23:43

Booked to go tomorrow with dd to our wee independent cinema with sofas.

SplodgeBear1988 · 17/09/2016 23:51

I went to see it tonight, take tissues for the tears of laughter!

chocoLit · 17/09/2016 23:53

We watched BJ Diary with DD1 in preparation. Tomorrow night is edge of reason! Is it suitable for a 14ye old?

SirChenjin · 18/09/2016 10:25

It's a bit racy in parts - I think it depends on your 14 year old tbh. Lots of references to shagging etc.

Iguessyourestuckwithme · 18/09/2016 10:30

LOVED IT! Went with friends to a small independent - curled up on a couch with a bottle of wine and giggled for more or less the whole film!

I'm more Jack than Mark however I wouldn't kick either to the kerb

Arrowminta · 18/09/2016 12:42

Saw this last night and loved it. She's still Bridget to me and as for the casual sex, do think it's fairly representational for a early 40's singleton :)
