Who's seen it?
I went this evening and really enjoyed it. Laughed out loud, thought soundtrack was excellent too.
So, who would you do? Mark or Jack?

Really enjoyed it. So funny in places.

Chinks123 · 18/09/2016 16:24

Dp laughed all the way through and so did the whole cinema, one woman screamed and clapped at the end Grin brilliant film and my favourite so far. I couldn't believe how mark Darcy had aged but I forget how old the first film is! Real feel good film though Smile

mailfuckoff · 18/09/2016 20:25

I was a test audience for this film so saw it about 6 months ago. However they hadn't fixed the ending and we got to say who we wanted to be the lucky man. So could someone pm me with the ending please. It received a cheer at the end of the test screening.

Groovee · 18/09/2016 21:06

mail have pm'ed you x

Houseconfusion · 18/09/2016 21:11

What's the probs with going on ones own.. That's all I've done for a massive chunk of my life. Just left DS with DH today and went and watched it on my own! Had a blast! Lovely heart warming film and I LOL ed a fair few times, and welled up happily too :)

Tomorrowisanewday · 19/09/2016 16:14

I laughed out loud more than once. Proper funny bits. The first one everyone loved at the time, the second one I thought was just a contrived, cashing in on the first one's hype sequel. But this one is back to the first. Not having ever watched Gray's Anatomy, I'm kicking myself that I've missed out on Patrick Dempsey for so long!

MunchCrunch01 · 20/09/2016 12:29

i loved it - still chortling a couple of days later. Best of both worlds surely, gets to shag Dempsey and keep Firth for her HEA? Thought better than the second film. Quite liked how ancient all the cast looked and that Zellweger is older than Bridget! Although I wish they'd left the bit about her mucking up her job out, she couldn't even keep a tiny bit of her own success?

dottypotter · 21/09/2016 13:47

I saw it, some scenes were corny and nothing new. The dash to the hospital has been done before and the lashing out in labour.

I reckon Hugh Grant will be in the next one im sure that's why they said at the end he isn't dead/

SirChenjin · 21/09/2016 15:19

He is in the third book, so I'm guessing the next film (if they make it) will follow that plot line

MunchCrunch01 · 21/09/2016 15:36

daniel craig is the obvious PE teacher love interest if they do make another!

Ringadingdingdong22 · 21/09/2016 15:39

I watched it last night. It's great, loved it.

FrozenAteMyDaughter · 22/09/2016 00:35

Saw it tonight with friends. I can't remember when I laughed so much at a film. Mark Darcy still does it for me but then I am pretty much the same age as RZ I think.

user1474499000 · 22/09/2016 00:44

Went last night - fab film! Me and the other half couldn't stop laughing - especially the hospital scene. The other half also walked out of the toilet with her skirt tucked in her knickers mid-filmGrin

Toddlerteaplease · 22/09/2016 10:40

Didn't want to see this film but went with some girls from work. Omg I haven't laughed so much in ages. It's brilliant. The gorgeous mr Firth has aged a lot though. Definitely Mark.

citykat · 23/09/2016 23:36

Much better than I expected, cried with laughter- so many famous faces, really recommend especially if you are mid 40s 😜

coolpotato · 24/09/2016 20:32

Didn't quite know what to expect, but totally enjoyed it. Whole cinema was in fits of laughter, esp the getting to the hospital scene. Loved her sidekick Miranda too

Was slightly surprised just how much Renee and Colin Firth had aged, don't know why when you think how old the orig films were but even so. Patrick Dempsey on the other hand didn't seem that old in comparison. Thought Bridget's cohort of friends had aged better. They all dressed a lot better too, Renee had some lovely dresses.

But def a film I would go and see again. Lots of great cameos too and liked the Daniel Cleaver is he or isn't he cliffhanger at the end.

coolpotato · 24/09/2016 20:34

Sorry - meant they all had a better dress sense than the original films.

Figgygal · 24/09/2016 23:09

Right just back from seeing thought it was good, couldn't get over how saggy and chicken necked Colin firth was in close ups though. I'm still not sure who dad was in end though?? Darcy said he'd love her and child no matter what so did it not matter? But if it wasn't jacks why was he still hanging round at end......because they'd become such great mates through their journey together?

I'm 8.5 months pg didn't think much of the fake tummy either Smile

SouthWestmom · 24/09/2016 23:12

Fake tummy was terrible!

Really odd that Jack was all matey with them at the end - why would he have the baby and not granny at the wedding?!

How did jack have her number to dirty sex text her?

The joke about the pub is the one Robbie Williams made and the taxi driver on Tv happened in real life some time ago - bit odd to nick those?

AtSea1979 · 24/09/2016 23:14

Mark hasn't aged as well as Bridget.
Def Jack.

Fillybuster · 24/09/2016 23:16

Went to see it with DH tonight - proper grownup date night film!

Loved it: especially (to be serious briefly) that it was all about acceptance. No big reveal, no evil baddies, just people rubbing along and trying to be nice to one another, most of the time. And properly, side splittingly, snortingly funny.

SueTrinder · 24/09/2016 23:24

I thought it was very funny but agreed that it was a bit daft that Jack was best pals with them if he wasn't the baby daddy. I've also been on here too long because I'm not convinced marrying a man who didn't commit to you for 10 years and has had 2 failed marriages is actually that great a catch. Bt in the romcom world I suppose she had to end up with Mark.

JustDanceAddict · 24/09/2016 23:29

Loved it! Def team Jack for the looks. My fave bit is when she introduced the impossibly pronounced named-man to Mark. I was literally crying.,

Bumplovin · 24/09/2016 23:44

I thought it was amazing! So much better than the third book which I found sad in parts. It was always mark for me but in this film Id have to say jack. I actually thought the ending was nice that they all kept in touch

JustDanceAddict · 25/09/2016 08:16

And yes, Colin Firth has massively aged - I was quite shocked off to Google all their ages
