suggestions for 'lovely films' please

am on the hunt for 'lovely films' after watching Steve Martin's Shopgirl at the weekend

they must be
a) lovely to look at
b) intelligent
c) not miserable

am trying to cheer self up with nice films after too much CSI so any suggestions much appreciated

but anyone who mentions The English Patient will have their Maltesers confiscated as it is a huge pile of wank

(although it's quite kooky and Meg Ryan is a bit annoying, it's still quite funny but doesn't really tick your intelligent box)

do like it tho. Also O Brother Where Art Thou is one of my fave ever ever ever films
