Watched Under the Skin with Scarlett Johansson last night with Dh. We knew kind of what was going on, but it was a bit .
Any other films that baffle?

Theultimate WTF? film has to be Holy Motors. Just read the synopsis!. After DH and I saw it we had to go and have a large drink to calm down and come back to reality.

But I don't mean to put anyone off it. It is beautiful and amazing as well as unsettlingly weird, and Denis Lavant is absolutely brilliant in it.

Donnie darko. I only watched half of it properly, I got so confused I spent the second half trying to work out what happened in the first half!

I have read the book 'Under the Skin' so knew what it was about but even I was perplexed watching the film. I wouldn't have had a fucking clue otherwise. Nobody says anything for pretty much the whole film. Definitely style over substance.

Only God Forgives. DH and I saw this at the cinema. I really felt like walking out. I was so disappointed as I loved Drive.

Watched it on tv a few weeks ago, not a bleeding clue.

I'd like to add Animal Kingdom, I still think about it 2 years on.

Dancer in the dark! My god that was traumatic I've never watched a Lars film since that one.

Archipelago. It's on iPlayer at the moment. Absolutely nothing happens and hardly anything is said (it's all in between the lines). Not sure if I loved it or hated it but I had to watch it all the way through!

The Fighting Temptations. I watched it at home with my cousin and at around 20 minutes in we had to check that we hadn't somehow got drunk without realising, because it just felt so surreal!

Pi. Quite apart from the mystery over the significance of the number, half of it may or may not be a hallucination and we're never entirely sure which half.

Eraser head is a classic! It's like watching someone's bad dream come to life. So so weird.

I loved Mullholland Drive. Did have to watch it twice though before I 'got it'.

Another Earth is a bit of an odd one.

Horns with daniel radcliffe. Really one of the strangest films I've ever seen.

2001 A Space Odyssey. I haven't a clue other than it appeared to be several movies badly stitched together by a blind man using a giant needle and some string.

I forgot about Dancer In The Dark. I couldn't finish it for sobbing. Can we just include all LvT forever and ever?

Broken Flowers, with Bill Murray ( a bit of a pattern here, Life Aquatic, Lost in Translation) but this one was going along fine, and it just.... Stopped.
