Would you vote for anyone stupid enough to believe that women can have penises and men can have vaginas which is basically every single bloody politician?
In my opinion anyone who believes that is too thick to run their own nose let alone the country.
There is literally not one politician or political party in this country worth voting for anymore with the possible exception of Suella Braverman who has the simple common sense to understand that this is a small Island nation with very limited resources which are already struggling with overpopulation. However I can’t vote for her so I won’t be voting at all this time round.
Does anyone else here not vote if there isn’t anyone worth voting for according to their beliefs?

How are you defining woman?
Is it fair or reasonable to have male XY bodies in female XX sport or prisons?
You do realise that trans people in the UK have the same rights as everyone else don't you (including the right to single sex based spaces where appropriate)?

I will never vote for a politician who is preapred to deny basic science and basic reality. I will not vote for a politician who has an eye to populist rubbish rather than scientific evidence and fact. I will not vote for any politician who would throw women and children under a bus to appease a vocal, violent aggressive part of society that is NOT promoting vulnerable minorities but is instead promoting and propagating blatant violent misogyny.

What concerns us is conflating that gender presentation with sex; transwomen do not belong in single sex spaces or women’s prisons or women’s sport.

People who have male bodies are as a cohort a potential risk to women, despite most individuals being fine. Out of respect for women’s safety and dignity, sometimes divisions on the grounds of sex are needed.

Stating the fact that women do not have penises does not marginalise men any more than stating the fact that I am not a size 6 Brazilian supermodel marginalises me. No one is marginalised bu the truth.

And no, I suspect the ones judged harshly by history will be the ones who supported locking vulnerable women up with rapists, bullying lesbians into sex with men, stunting puberty in children, cheering on cheating males in sport and allowing men access to women only spaces. Not the women who spoke the truth.

Of course some people who say someone with a penis can't be a woman may be bigots. Others, though, may simply disagree about the meanings of words; to so disagree simpliciter could not be called bigoted by any stretch of anyone's imagination.

I think the word 'woman' means 'adult human female'; it follows from this that I think the set of women and the set of people with penises are disjoint.

Those who, in support of marginalised trans people, or for whatever reason, think someone with a penis may be a woman, obviously think 'woman' means something different to what I think it does. They must do, if they are sincere.

I was replying to ristevie but apparently they've deregister.

At the moment I think of all the girls and young women I know who are transitioning as women and the men I know who are transitioning as men. But that's only in my head. I do my best not to say anything that would suggest I don't accept their identities. When there are literally six women who've all transitioned in 2 years in 2 streets in my neighbourhood, it does seem more to me like they all like the same band, rather than some cosmic discovery of a form of human nature. So the best that I can do is not change the way I treat them, which according to the theory is right anyway isn't it, because everything and nothing has changed. Including physical risks to women in society.
