Ok.

Now is probably a good time for a feed then. 4 hour gap between feed= great

Hopefully he will take a good feed and then re-settle for you xx

needsupport · 29/08/2008 23:25

thanks

ShinyPinkEELSwithShoesOn · 29/08/2008 23:27

I know sweetheart.

But just remember- everything is only for a time. Right now this is the stage he's at, pretty soon this stage will pass and life WILL get better xx

ns, in response to what I think you meant, this might help - my mum died 13 months ago fairly suddenly and I often feel guilty that I can carry on as normal a lot of the time and am not constantly missing her. I do miss her, of course I do, but I don't think about it all the time and it doesn't always affect me as badly as I perhaps think it should.

Of course, I could have totally misunderstood what you were saying and you'll be sitting there now rolling your eyes and sighing at my incompetent meanderings!

so, have you had your chocolate now? I always find there is something so lovely, oozily comforting about hot chocolate (or even lukewarm chocolate - or cold chocolate - or in fact any chocolate at all ) - oops, starting to drool, might have to go and make some for myself...

OP posts:
needsupport · 29/08/2008 23:53

ive had it now
thankyou for stopping with me.im sure youve got better things to do.

well you know, I could be working but it's Friday night and somehow it feels wrong to work on a Friday night - but if I have the computer going, it removes a touch of the guilt I have about not being up to my requisite number of hours this month, because there is always the chance I might actually do some work. Whereas if the computer is off I clearly am not going to do any.

And as I said, I'm happy to help by being here - you are a very special person and in need at the mo; there is another MNer who I also feel the same way about who is having a hard time just now (albeit very different from yours) - and I guess it's partly because we all have DSs about the same age.

I can't imagine what it has been like for you but I do know that you are one of the bravest people I have ever come across, and the fact that you can look after your son, and maintain a sense of humour 99% of the time, fills me with admiration.

So, feel proud of yourself for what you have achieved so far and remember that you have friends on here.

DS has just stirred himself, so I think I will be signing off soon - I want to leave him to see if he will settle before I rush in there but it won't be long, so I'll say night night now and hope you get some rest.

AwakeStill · 30/08/2008 00:48

Are you feeling any better? I hope today was a little bit better, maybe, from the sounds of your posts?

I have a very heavy very sweaty little DS on my shoulder and he is fast asleep on me but the minute I try and put him down he is wide awake. So I am stuck at the computer with a limpet!!

AwakeStill · 30/08/2008 00:54

I didnt mean that to sound that my sleepy DS was the only reason I was posting NS - I hope you didn't take it that way. Just I was looking at a night in front of the computer probably!

needsupport · 30/08/2008 00:56
