nope

thingamajig · 02/09/2008 01:22

orry to here that. Did you try the games I linked to, I find I can kill time not thinking until my body is exhausted just playing bejeweled.
Have you eaten anything recently, I was trying to sleep but was hungry so I had a yoghurt - I'm feeding too, dd is 8mo and its important to get enough calcium

thingamajig · 02/09/2008 01:24

The other thing I found helpful was relaxation/hypnotherapy cds, on my ipod in bed. I saw a hypnotherapist who was great at getting me to calm down a bit, and she gave me a recording of her, but you can buy them too.

needsupport · 02/09/2008 01:27

thingamajig · 02/09/2008 01:30

needsupport · 02/09/2008 01:33

if im still awake at 3 ill go and bury my head in the garden.

thingamajig · 02/09/2008 01:52

Im sorry I have to go to bed now, but best wishes for a peaceful night. Weathers not too good for gardens tonight.

needsupport · 02/09/2008 02:07

still awake

onlyjoking9329 · 02/09/2008 02:10

burying your head in the garden is only a good plan if you like worms.

needsupport · 02/09/2008 02:15

hi.yes but at least i wouldnt hear the howling snoring rattling and whirring of my head
sorry bit fucked off with still being wide awake

onlyjoking9329 · 02/09/2008 02:23

it is hard to turn your mind off isn't it. I haven't slept properly for the last year. I used to get cross at being awake now I just accept it and read for a while or MN.
do you have any meds that help you sleep?

needsupport · 02/09/2008 02:28

Hi NS, I've only just happened upon your story tonight, and have only read this thread, so I hope you don't mind me posting.
I just wanted to say that it has struck me how truly amazing you are. It's so clear from even this one thread what a truly selfless person you are...you ARE such a good mum to J, whatever you say, you so obviously do so much more for your precious little boy than sadly many other mums do in much easier circumstances, its been clear so many times in this thread that his wellbeing is forefront in your mind, no matter how awful you feel. You keep doing your best for him!
Your strength and determination are amazing, and so clear to see. You really are a truly special person who deserves nothing less than respect and admiration. You have plenty to teach the world, and are an inspirational character.
I really hope that you are catching up on the sleep you so deserve. I pray that tomorrow is an easier day for you. I hope that you can soon see in yourself what is so clear to me, and it seems to many others on here. Love and big hugs to you and your J. x

differentID · 02/09/2008 08:02

morning, sweetie. Sorry to hear you had an unsettled night. I hope you have a better day and do manage to get out of the house for a short while. I don't know if I'll be able to get on tonight- I have a meeting after work, but this is just to let you know I'm thinking of you and J.xxx

bellavita · 02/09/2008 08:06

Morning ns, see from the thread you were up until the early hours. It is a beautiful sunny day out there (if a little chilly) but I am sure it will warm up later, typical the weather seems to be getting better when it is time for me to return to my day shifts now the boys are going back to school (I am doing an extra day shift tomorrow).

I will be on here today in between fumigating the boys' bedrooms and changing their beds.

Much love to you. xx

GColdtimer · 02/09/2008 08:16

Hi NS, I hope you feel up to doing a bit more walking today and that you finally managed to get some sleep.

mellyonion · 02/09/2008 08:54

morning ns...
sorry i wasn't able to get back on last night....was thinking about you though.

i'm so glad that you felt lifted from your walking, talking and sleeping yesterday...that is really really great news....hang onto those feelings of light....

would be good if you can pop out again today..even a little walk will do you good...

sorry you had a crap nights sleep...you must try to find something that helps you....how about an audio book?? you can get all sorts..it doesn't have to be gripping stuff...maybe having something to concentrate on will stop your head whirling....

i hope to be around for some of today, but i too am caught up in last minute school preparations..new juice bottles, pe shorts, trying on, etc...

have a good morning, and remember (sing along if you know the words..) I'M A SURVIVOR, KEEP ON SURVIVIN!!!

needsupport · 02/09/2008 09:45

bellavita · 02/09/2008 09:50

needsupport · 02/09/2008 10:08

bellavita · 02/09/2008 10:12

at least it will get you out?

I am going to hang the boys bedding out now and give their rooms a good clean. DS2 who doesn't start back to school till tomorrow is nagging me to take him out for lunch but going to stick to my guns and say no I have to much to do.
