Yes you are probably right snafu [she says, desperately trying to keep up with the speed of this thread] but it is still upseting too, especially when you think you have said something clever!

ImuststopdrinkingBlossomhill · 18/02/2005 18:46

I need to break away from this damned place. I waste too much time on here.....

snafu · 18/02/2005 18:46

Maybe you should just re-post but change every word to BOLD CAPS LIKE THIS

PuffTheMagicDragon · 18/02/2005 18:48

I'm routinely ignored on here, but couldn't give a hoot!

I have that problem lonelymum. it feels weird sometime. like being ignored. even worse is someone saying the same point as you 2 posts later and then people acknowledging that. aaaagh

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can. It took a couple of goes, but now I'm really proud of the fact that I can. Of course, hardly anyone looks at my links

alexsmum · 18/02/2005 18:54

make room for the threadkilling queen!!! Nobody ever responds to my posts! I emptied my heart out on a new thread before and had to bump it in order to elicit a response! How pathetic is that?!!!

hi alexsmum. I reply to you, I bow before your wisdom on all Alex related issues

ImuststopdrinkingBlossomhill · 18/02/2005 18:55

I think the hardest thing is when you pour your heart out or give people advice to help drawing on your own experiences and then get ignored/overlooked.

I always try and acknowledge and thank people for there advice as it means a lot that people have taken the trouble to read and then post.

Lonelymum · 18/02/2005 18:56

I have found two threads you have commented on today alexsmum(not counting this one) and I have replied to both so keep checking them! I find "Threads I am on" invaluable - better than active conversations!

alexsmum · 18/02/2005 18:56

thank you marslady!!! I really thought nonone was going to respond to my post!! the irony!!

MarsLady · 18/02/2005 18:57

I remember posting back in November that it was my anniversary that day, sob, and no one acknowledged it. In fact no one even replied at all. Sob

But, I sucked it up, built a bridge and got over it!

lonelymum, my friend!!! i know you have posted on my fed up thread and i have just replied enthusiastically to your post! thank you! sorry for the wobbly typing but have hit the white wine already and feeling a bit tipsy!

MarsLady · 18/02/2005 18:59

ggg, would join your french expat wotsit, but I don't think they'd have me.

Lonelymum · 18/02/2005 18:59

ggglimpopo, I don't want to sound patronising, but do you realise that it tells you how to do links in the yellow box next to where you write your message? I only ask because I kept asking how to do links and no-one responded and then I read someone's comment to another poster asking the same question and she pointed out the yellow box. I had never realised the instructions were there! No wonder no-one told me how to do it. The probably thought I was blind!

PuffTheMagicDragon · 18/02/2005 18:59

Is it just me, or has mumsnet changed following the w&r debacle? I know I'm not on here that much anymore.

I agree with IMSDBH. It's awful when someone else posts the same as you and you are ignored and they are complimented on their wit, wisdom and all round perfection.
