Aw naswm. I don't hate you darling. You know I don't. I wouldn't be there for you all the time if I didn't think you were the best thing that had happened to me since the birth of my children.

That SW sounds like a rude little prick. Shame you would never have said that to him...

AWWWWWWWWWW DG {{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}}}

I did tell him I felt very despondent after the meeting, and that neither of us had got anything out of it - he knew exactly what was going on. He told me he was frustrated he could do more, but until someone somewhere in the world came up with a solution there was nothing he could do (his words)

I feel so crap right now

I tell you, I may not have been clinically depressed before, but I certainly am feeling it now

Oh naswm

I am so sorry that you got a MH worker who lacked empathy - unfortunately it can happen and is mainly the result of the worker feeling helpless and not knowing what to do. Personality disorders can be difficult to treat, but there is plenty that can be done to promote more adaptive coping strategies. What sorts of therapy have you had (if any), have you ever tried CAT (cognitive analytic therapy) or DBT (dialetical behavioural therapy). DBT is pretty new in this country but is growing. How about self harm services - do they exist in your area? MIND can be very good in offering support groups, also National Self Harm Network.

evrey one certainly does not hate you.
i for one like you quite a lot, so there
hang in there. follow up on the tips in the last post, but most of all just keep breathing x

I hardly ever post here but I just wanted to let you know that if you in England every health authority has been given specific money to develop and deliver personality disorder services. You have every right to contact your PCT and where are they in your area and why aren't you getting any? I know other people who have done this successfully.

Either in Scotland or England it is no longer accepted practice to tell people with PD to go away and that there is no treatment. NICE are just developing guidelines on this so there is guidance and legislation out there. There is also a Department of Health document No Longer a Diagnosis of Exclusion which might be helpful and you can download from their website.

It is crap and difficult, but I have found that standing up and shouting and pointing out that your treatment is not acceptable has been the only thing to get me somewhere.

I hope this is helpful and you feel a bit better this evening.
