Hope you girls find this. Chubby I am so sorry. I was in tears reading your thread and my heart goes out to you. I know it will be hard I would not be able to cope. Big Twigy Hugs.

teabreakgirl · 21/04/2008 15:36

Ive been on them for 9 months though I did try to wean myself off-Didn't work!!! Good luck to you!!

itsahardknocklife · 21/04/2008 19:58

I still have down moment, Fawke, but that is a big improvement on down days! What did the doctor say?

FAWKEOFF · 21/04/2008 20:25

doctor has upped my dosage to 40mg and given me a number to arrange an appointment to see a counsellor. She feels i need to get to the bottom of what is causing it....dont know how to feel about it honestly....baring my soul to a face to face stranger i suppose i will have to give it a try x

itsahardknocklife · 21/04/2008 20:53

that's good, Fawke. Last time I went to doc, my DH came with me and asked doc to arrange some counselling, but I haven't heard anything about it yet.
Let me know how you feel when the 40mg sets in.

SpringSunshine · 21/04/2008 21:15

I cannot beleive it - I have just booked a camping holiday in France - very adventurous for me

Welcome 1-10 I was on prozac a while ago but cit is much better

Fawke I had counselling - can certainly recomend it

I have not had any since last Wed andapart from the wobble on Fri am doing well. Lots of retail therapy today but not really sure whether I am going to work tomorrow

itsahardknocklife · 21/04/2008 21:17

cool Spring! I like camping but haven't been for years. I've only ever done it down in Cornwall though. Was it expensive?

SpringSunshine · 21/04/2008 21:38

Hi itsa, hope you are doing well

pretty good value - 2 bed caravan / lodge thing for 455 euros for the week (early July) plus £72 ferry; cannot wait now

Haven't even got passports for them yet (but have done the forms online and got photos )

Twigy · 21/04/2008 21:58

Hi all I thought I was doing well for a while there but I am so exhausted and pissed off with DH working away all the time that I have just blown a gasket. Is is too much to grumble because i came home from work at 715 with the LO. Couldnt get him in the bath cause DH HAD to have a wash NOW! Then I get LO sorted milk, cuddle, bed and DH is moaning cause his tea isnt ready. He then said that he didnt have time to cook anything as he just got in 10mins before me. MY ARSE. He had managed to sup 2 bottles of cider in that time. He has now gone to bed as he doent want me sniping at him!!!

Sorry about the rant girls I know you are all having a bad time but really need to get that off my chest.

itsahardknocklife · 21/04/2008 22:36

Aw Twigy. I wouldn't be able to cope if both of us worked full-time. It's probably easier when he's away, eh? Men make so much mess!

SpringSunshine · 21/04/2008 23:03

Don't worry about it Twigy, we have all been there which is why we can all support each other.

I am so with you on men my dh complains when he gets home from a long trip that he is jet lagged and takes himself off to bed - err, what about me then with a week of broken nights, tied completely to routine like a military operation and just wanting 30 mins to go for a walk so I can finally get out of the house without 2 attached kids!!!!

Give yourself a break and go out tomorrow and leave him to deal with the dcs.

I arranged for 2 of ds friends to come to tea today having forgotten that I was going shopping with mother so dh was collecting them - result But to be fair he was fab and rang me at 3.30pm to say he had got the kids and stay out as long as I wanted

Hope you feel better soon Twigy

12345678910 · 21/04/2008 23:16

hi guys i am just so god damn exhausted on these.

will this pass?

SpringSunshine · 21/04/2008 23:25

Hi 1-10 I found the first 10 days or so the worst - I slept most of the time and when i didn't I was so spaced out I might as well have been asleep; good job I was signed off work!

It should get better soon - just try and give yourself space, sleep where possible and be kind to yourself

itsahardknocklife · 22/04/2008 07:24

Yes, 123, it'll pass. The few days were very odd - I felt drunk, and I couldn't drive. Mind you, I am still very tired now, but not as bad as I was.
Twigy, how are you today? I'm in all day if you want a cuppa.

12345678910 · 22/04/2008 08:22

thanks guys i hope the exhausted feeling does pass its rough but i can say i havent had any other side effects mind u this is only 5th day on them.

SpringSunshine · 22/04/2008 11:09

I could do with a cuppa please - decided i would come to work and now regretting it

OH have said they cannot do anything re bully (unsurprisingly) so now want me to have counselling to learn 'coping strategies' - why the f**k should i learn to deal with her surely that is their job

Sorry for the rant, just seriously pi**ed off today

FAWKEOFF · 22/04/2008 11:39

ring the C.A.B and ask them what your emloyee rights are....you do not have to put up with the emotional stress of working with a bully....these people make me so fucking anry ......well i rang the number that the doc gave for counselling and get this.........

The funding has been slashed...You have to be between the ages of 13 and 19 to get an appointment....other than that you can just go to the open surgery and be prepared to wait....you are not necessarily guaranteed an appointment with a counsellor!!!!!!
UTTER BULLSHIT. I cannot believe how the system works, I am trying to keep a grip on so many things in my life at the moment without collapsing and breaking down and i cant be seen because i dont fit the age criteria

itsahardknocklife · 22/04/2008 12:00

oh Fawke that isn't good.
Spring - I don't know what to suggest about the bully. I've been there and it's not good. I left in the end.

FAWKEOFF · 22/04/2008 12:18

I know its not good
I have rang the GP and tols them the situation so i am just waiting for someone to back to me....The doctor was all "you need to go to counselling, you cant just spend you life taking ADs and not finding out what the caue of it all is"
like i want to be on ADs...like i want to be like this!!!!! I have just left the doc a message along the lines of " I rang the number she gave me for counselling, ask her how the hell i am supposed to find the root of my depression when I do not fit the criteria for anyone to actually care????"

they asked "what do you mean"
"because Im not 13 to 19 i dont have REAL problems and am only eligible for a drop in centre"

they are going to call me back...we will see

itsahardknocklife · 22/04/2008 12:39

hmmmm do let me know...

FAWKEOFF · 22/04/2008 14:53

I have just rang them back and they have given me another number to ring, and are looking into why the other one wont see me.....anyway just waiting for the 40mg to kick in now

itsahardknocklife · 22/04/2008 14:55

I've been out with the dog today and that, coupled with the sunshine, has cheered me up.
I feel a lot better on 40mg although I do still get dodgy times.

FAWKEOFF · 22/04/2008 15:15

i'm not expecting miracles from the extra 20mg, just to feel a bit better IYKWIM.
Just not having a great week really....the childminder phoned me yeaterday morning, her daughter had been rushed to hospital with croup, and she is 6 month pregnant so wanted the week off...i dont blame her really, but it turns out that this os the only bloody week that everyone is too busy to have DS....i normally have plenty of backup incase things go tits....so i am missing a full week of college, which is all revision for my exams its a good job i have good friends to get my work for me

itsahardknocklife · 22/04/2008 15:51

it's things like that happening that can really get to you, isn't it? Can the childminder recommend another one who might cover for her?
My son goes to a childminder one day a week. It gives me a break and he enjoys it. She is off on holiday so is away for the next two Tuesdays - I'm already worrying about it but I don't really know why.
