Who?
Your GP?
Or MH services?
You're still being really unclear.

loppu · 24/05/2024 16:55

Do you mean cmht Services or crisis team. The former has months long waiting list.

TERFCat · 24/05/2024 18:01

Op, try writing a chronological bullet point list of what's happened. Then, write your questions underneath. If you do this, we can help you.

Gazelda · 24/05/2024 19:15

It sounds as though you're going through a tough time. I hope your friends are being supportive and encouraging you to get help.

When did you get sent home from work?
Why were you sent home from work?
Have you seen your GP?
Have you seen or spoken with mental health team?
Do you have any medical appointments in your diary?
Are you on any medication? Are you taking it regularly?

Hopefully you're being taken care of by people that love you. If not, come back here and let's see if we can help unravel things so you can work out the best next steps.

allthemiddlechildrenoftheworld · 24/05/2024 19:19

@Muddle200 can you finish a sentence so we understand what the problem actually is? you and your friends are angry? about what??

Muddle200 · 25/05/2024 11:11

Needmorelego · 24/05/2024 15:53

@Muddle200 no they can't insist you go - but wouldn't it be better to go and see if they can help you?

I went and they said they could not help

MH told me it would not work as it was not voluntary

@Muddle200 no offence but you still aren't making much sense.
If you feel like you are a danger to yourself please go to A+E because then you will be in a safe place.

AnthuriumCrystallinum · 25/05/2024 11:31

That sounds really frustrating!

How have you been since and how are you now?

Muddle200 · 25/05/2024 11:44

They were all totally unhelpful That's the problem

OP posts:
Muddle200 · 25/05/2024 11:46

So something happened 20 years ago at work, you were referred to MH team, but nothing happened?
What's happened in last 20 years? Have you been back at work?

AnthuriumCrystallinum · 25/05/2024 11:53

When is you next appointment? Can you either write down everything you've said on this thread and your other thread or just print out the threads to show them? To help them understand your frustration.

AnthuriumCrystallinum · 25/05/2024 11:54

I think the whole system is very difficult to navigate at the best of times - never mind when you're not feeling your best!

Citrusandginger · 25/05/2024 11:57

What help/support do you think you need today OP?

You don't need a diagnosis to need or get help.

Muddle200 · 25/05/2024 12:40

No it was

OP posts:
Muddle200 · 25/05/2024 13:21

I have had 20 years of appointments
With no treatment Furious

OP posts:
Needmorelego · 25/05/2024 13:23

Sounds like you need to go back to your GP and say "Right I've had 20 years of this - maybe I could try something different".

TheShellBeach · 25/05/2024 13:51

Haven't you even had a diagnosis in the last twenty years?

And did you ever go back to work?

loppu · 25/05/2024 13:53

I wasn't told my diagnosis by psychiatrist. I found them on my NHS app.

LIZS · 25/05/2024 13:57

What treatment are you expecting? Are these appointments not that?
