So I'm sat in hospital.
Been here since 3am. Police drove me here.
Son jumped 30ft from a bridge.
He's currently in surgery
Perforated bladder
Broken hip
Broken pelvis
Broken leg
Broken wrist
3 fractures to his jaw

I can't understand it.

So very glad to hear that he is home.
I wish you both a steady recovery from such an awful experience x

(glad that Psych has noted that he was not suicidal but hope tha the Police DO find out what happened to him, poor lad!)

I'm glad he's home OP. I'm so sorry this happened to you son.

I have to say that I was shocked there wasn't appropriate food for him. It's a tiny detail in the horror of this awful story, but you making him mash to bring in is the sort of thing that relatives would find stressful to have to do in far less severe situations. A mumsnetter may very well post a thread about that alone (and they'd be right to)! Yet it is minuscule detail in your situation.

So, I know he's needing a lot of help and support, but please find some moments for yourself too. You have been incredibly strong (whether you feel like it or not) and you are likely to need stamina going ahead. Make sure you have time for yourself and it may possibly help to have someone you can talk to about what's happening - could be a counsellor or perhaps there are organisations out there for families of major injury survivors. I don't know of one or I'd recommend, but perhaps someone else does. Possibly through Victim Support - they may know of another org.

You need support too. You've been and are going through something awful too.

But, I'm really glad he's home with you!
