Son attempted #trigger

So I'm sat in hospital.
Been here since 3am. Police drove me here.
Son jumped 30ft from a bridge.
He's currently in surgery
Perforated bladder
Broken hip
Broken pelvis
Broken leg
Broken wrist
3 fractures to his jaw

I can't understand it.

Thanks everyone who has commented.

Taking every day as it comes. Every small step is a win. Today that win is he managed 90ml of homemade mash and veg. Whilst the food in hospital isn't the worst it's not fresh veg and suitable for his mouth which is half wired shut! So I've made his own and we are doing little and often rather than 2 massive meals which freaks him out.

Off oxygen today too which is another win in the right direction.

Police have contacted and it may be a case of encouraging or assisting suicide attempt. But CCTV still needs looking at but they have the name of the person this May apply to. My heart breaks that my son may have been bullied into this.

He still insists he doesn't and wouldn't want to die.

I am so pleased you have have progress, albeit small steps.
Being able to eat is such a positive step.

I'm glad he's making progress. It's great he's off oxygen.

Do you (he) know the person that's they're saying encouraged him?

Have just read this post. I am so sorry about what happened to your son. What a horrendous ordeal to go through. Glad to hear he's on the mend physically now xx

Its great he is taking food, and that you're with him as it will be so reassuring for him.
My Ds is 17. Last year he was egged into a suicide attempt on SM on his phone by a 'friend' who told him he was 'too needy & too Autistic'.
He didn't jump off a bridge (though he'd been sitting on one the day before, I later found out). He did it at home in bed with his prescription meds (for anxiety/sleep). He survived. The other kid didn't even get a telling off as under 16: horrible. I send you both all my best wishes x

This makes me so sad. I'm so sorry.

My son made great improvements last night and then out of no where this morning he had a seizure so today has been spent trying to cover all bases. He also now has a rash all over his body so it's possible that he's reacting to one of the medications he's been given. He's had CT and bloods and thankfully he appears brighter at the moment.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and wishes.

With regards the 'troll' we have a name and police are gathering call data etc. we shall see.

I'm sorry to hear that there have been some further medical issues but it sounds as though he's being well cared for & is showing real resilience x

I am so sorry to hear about the set back, but hopefully this is just a small thing. It is good news that he says he does not want to die.

Two children also assisted my child in a suicide attempt, dh intervened before it got there. As the police were involved, they went to speak to the other two children. I don’t know anymore about what happened.

Thankyou for all the thoughts and wishes.

My son is home. It's too soon. He's not steady on his feet and still has staples in BUT he's home and that's all that matters.
He's got a long road to recovery including physio.
Psych cleared him of any suicidal tendencies and actually wrote a report a report saying he had been stating since day 3 that he was not suicidal.
I don't know what happened that night. Neither does he but he's alive and will continue healing and eating and resting at home.
Police are still searching CCTV to try and find answers.

OP I’m so sorry to hear that this is happened. Relieved to hear he is home and not suicidal but what a terrible thing to be going through. I have no words of wisdom but wanted to send a handhold, big hugs to you and your son. Stay strong xx
