Totally burnt out

I'm so exhausted. Everything is so difficult, there's so much of it, its so hard to carry on.
Harder to even just maintain a basic standard if living. I don't have the energy to keep it going much longer.
Just want to lay down, block it all out, make it go away.

Why can't you do a phone call?

coodawoodashooda · 18/08/2021 06:48

I realise you dont feel as though you have time to schedule an official collapse but an unexpected one would be so much more time consuming.

Can you get a friend or family member to phone your gp for you while you're there? They might just ask your permission to speak to them. Also, mind.org.uk have an online peer support service called Side by Side. Can't vouch for it but looks like a webchat thing which might help.

Olimar · 18/08/2021 19:13

Not believing me, criticising things I say, its not helpful, it really hurts me.

I wonder @Olimar what you were hoping for when you posted this thread? How best can we help you?

Olimar · 19/08/2021 17:20

I was not hoping for anything, why would i hope for something, this is an internet forum, no one here can help me, no one can help.

Truth is I likely wasn't thinking when I posted, I cant remember, it was too long ago. Not thinking is great, not feeling is too, had such an amazing day today, got to keep that going.

Can you take a couple of days off work either as sick leave or paid holiday and commit to 5 hours a day on sorting things. Something like the garden- i understand its overwhelming but if you say to yourself im doing 15 minutes grass cutting every day you would get through it. You dont have to do the whole job in one day. If you write a list of jobs and order them in priority you could at least try and do the top 5 and then you'll start to feel better. You've just got to start and not over think it. Its perhaps that you are a perfectionist and think that you cant do these jobs perfectly which stops you from starting them although you know deep down something would be better than nothing. I like the quote "housework done imperfectly still blesses your family". Good luck xx

Sarahlou63 · 19/08/2021 19:19

Glad you had an amazing day - long may it continue! Good luck for tomorrow.

Well done op. How did you get on?
LockdownCheeseToastie · 20/08/2021 22:20

How old are your kids and who else is around to help you to look after them?

Happierwithouthim · 20/08/2021 22:42

If you're working two jobs is it possible you can afford some help with cleaning/garden?
Would some ready meals help in the short term for meals?
What age are your children?

Olimar · 20/08/2021 23:05

No, it was terrible, they hung up on me. Total waste of my time and energy.

OP posts:
Sarahlou63 · 20/08/2021 23:12

Ah, that's shitty of them.

Olimar · 20/08/2021 23:14

Also my children are teenager, no i don't need help looking after them.

And I work 2 jobs, so the rent gets paid, nothing left for anything else.

So much more tired now, but nothing got fixed, just more of my brain broken.

OP posts:
Sarahlou63 · 20/08/2021 23:27

Hope you can sleep tonight, let your brain relax a bit. X

Happierwithouthim · 20/08/2021 23:35

Can your children help out so that there's less pressure on you?

Olimar · 21/08/2021 10:26

OP posts:
Sarahlou63 · 21/08/2021 11:39

coodawoodashooda · 21/08/2021 11:59
