Morning all, didn’t sleep well last night worrying about money which is nice for a change I suppose Blush just keep getting anxiety over getting a new job, being Kerr redundant and then also losing furlough from the job im in now! Sad

@Dollsandfoo I started last September with it when I found lymph nodes in my neck before that I’ve never suffered health anxiety!

@HildegardeCrowe hope it goes well with the gp today keep us posted!x

@EXA1912 how’re you feeling today?x

HildegardeCrowe · 19/04/2021 08:54

I worry about money too @tmh88 and things going wrong with the house (like roof leaking, central heating breakdown etc). I live on my own so
no-one to share the load with! Sorry assume you have a partner so is it vital that you work? Can you survive on one income?

argueifnecessary · 19/04/2021 08:54

I wanted to come and tell you how stupid health anxiety is. I was making breakfast for my kids and filling the dishwasher at the same time, suddenly I felt my foot was wet so my first thought was: I must be bleeding, looked down and saw red in my toe and went into panic until I realised it was just nail varnish. Also I had just stepped into a bit of water.
Honestly, I want to say like Americans What the actual F*

argueifnecessary · 19/04/2021 08:55

*on my toe

EXA1912 · 19/04/2021 09:17

I’m worrying about everything this morning. One side of my body feels really tight and the other really loose, there’s something wrong with my womb and cervix I know it but they won’t do anything. I’ve nerve pain down my leg from it, worried I’m going to be left paralysed if I have this baby x

argueifnecessary · 19/04/2021 09:33

@EXA1912
If you're pro choice and feel having a baby is not the right thing to do right, then nobody would judge you. It is a very difficult choice but if it is going to make your mental health even worse then maybe worth considering. I hope I'm not offending anyone with this comment, especially you.
It sounds like you're really really struggling though.
But I would say that during high anxiety it is totally normal to have tightness in your body and the pain down your leg is likely to be because those muscles press on the nerves in the spine. I know because I have had the same thing for years and I also have one side much tighter.
Why do you think there is something wrong with your uterus and cervix?
And talk to your GP today about medication there is stuff you can take during pregnancy.

I know it's really difficult but try to distract yourself, go outside for a walk with the kids and eat and drink something. Not energy drinks! They cause anxiety. I don't even drink coffee during stressful times.
And vent here if you need to.

tmh88 · 19/04/2021 09:36

@HildegardeCrowe we could yes, I just worry about having nothing to fall back on mainly should anything happen to dps job too etc! It’s hard because I also really want to work to get me out of the house x

@argueifnecessary I have had so many times like that!🤭 I knocked a skin tag off the other day which was gross but even though I knew I had knocked it off it freaked the living daylights out of me the blood!

tmh88 · 19/04/2021 09:38

@EXA1912 it does sound really hard how you’re feeling at the minute! I agree with @argueifnecessary it wouldn’t hurt to go through all your options with the GP today x x

tmh88 · 19/04/2021 17:11

How is everyone this afternoon?

I’m still going with trying to lose weight only lost 2lbs so far which is disheartening 😫

EXA1912 · 19/04/2021 17:44

Managed to get in to speak to a consultant on Wednesday. Yeah I’m not offended I do need to go through the options. I was advised no more after my last due to complications. Problem is is the pills they give for terminating won’t bode well for my pelvic issues already so that’s why I feel so trapped. I’m an idiot I know. Xx

tmh88 · 19/04/2021 18:12

@EXA1912 your not an idiot at all! These things happen ❤️ How have you felt today?x

EXA1912 · 19/04/2021 18:23

I’ve been ok thanks @tmh88 feel a little trapped, I can’t wait for her to look at my vag/uterus 🤦🏼‍♀️. She thinks I have an enlarged womb and a prolapse or ligament prolapse inside though from what I’ve told her on the phone, which she said she’d need to check. She thinks this is what’s causing me the bowel issues 😫 xx

tmh88 · 19/04/2021 19:49

@EXA1912 try stay positive till Wednesday I know it’s easier said than done, but I do think with extreme stress you can make yourself ill so you don’t want to be feeling any worse! What are your plans tonight?Xx

Dollsandfoo · 19/04/2021 20:07

Hope everyone is feeling ok this evening. Just been for a lovely walk its so nice to be able to walk the dog in the evening and it still be light and warm. The sunshine definitely helps lift my mood x

EXA1912 · 20/04/2021 06:22

I need my womb out, honestly it’s causing me so many problems, I’ve not slept and I’m in agony with my back. There’s something wrong, it’s like my womb is growing into my back 😢 x

tmh88 · 20/04/2021 06:41

Morning,

@Dollsandfoo I’m the same, it’s so nice to get out for a walk although I don’t have a dog 😂

@EXA1912 is there someone you can spend the day with today to give you some support? Is your partner at work would he be able to maybe take the day off? just until you have your appointment tomorrow x

Dollsandfoo · 20/04/2021 07:47

@EXA1912 sending lots of love . Hopefully after your appointment tomorrow you will get some answers and start to feel a little better xx

HildegardeCrowe · 20/04/2021 08:29

Good morning all. Yes a walk always helps calm my anxiety, at least for a while. I have an ancient JRT cross (a rescue) who means the world to me as I live alone. @EXA1912, things are going to be ok, just try and get through the day until your appointment tomorrow.

I feel awful being off work (not going back for a little under a month) but I just couldn’t function. I’m dreading going back because everyone will either be feeling sorry for me or think I’m taking the piss. Don’t know what to do about changing jobs and worried about money.

tmh88 · 20/04/2021 08:47

@HildegardeCrowe have you been on the entitled to website? Might be worth a look and if you are eligible for anything, could you leave while you look for something else?x

HildegardeCrowe · 20/04/2021 09:05

Thanks @tmh88, will take a look. My work have actually just emailed me and are being so supportive and only told me to come back when I feel ready. Feel so conflicted....

How’s everyone’s anxiety this morning? If it’s bad, get outside as soon as you can and enjoy this lovely weather.

AJ297 · 20/04/2021 09:33

@HildegardeCrowe I've recently been off for just under two months and work have been great about it.

You are well within your rights to take the time off and you'll be no good to anyone if you burn yourself out. Plus you wouldn't be feeling bad if you'd broken your leg and needed time off, mental health is no different! Use the time to get yourself better.

I say that as someone who worried the whole time I was off 😂

HildegardeCrowe · 20/04/2021 09:39

Ah thank you @AJ297. How are you finding being back?

tmh88 · 20/04/2021 09:47

Not too bad today actually today @HildegardeCrowe nervous for gp this morning though! I’ll post back this afternoon x

HildegardeCrowe · 20/04/2021 11:11

Yes let us know how you got on. Spoke to mine yesterday, she was lovely as ever. Off for a walk now, feel dreadfully anxious and hoping it will lift.

tmh88 · 20/04/2021 16:09

Hi everyone forgot to post back! I went through everything that worried me with the doctor she was lovely checked everything out and all “normal!” She has asked how I was lately and I said doing better so she thinks tablets might be a bit early to give yet and I could just be experiencing high grief from my mum passing in different ways but to go back if I feel myself slipping or like I’m finding new worries/getting worse x
