Hey :) I used to be on the original thread but fortunately my anxiety calmed down for a while, but it's back now! Is this thread still active or has it moved over to WhatsApp? Thanks!

Hi all. Newcomer here, long time sufferer of health anxiety. What used to be hypochondria turned into full blown HA when I had kids. Now if I’m not worrying about something happening to them, I’m worrying about something happening to me and leaving them alone and traumatised.

It’s never ending. As soon as one disease is eliminated, something new pops up to obsess about. I refuse to accept “nothing” is wrong with me - I say “nothing” because obviously anxiety is something but everyone dismisses it because it’s not life threatening. But it really is debilitating. I only need to see something happen to someone to think it’s happening to me. A friend got diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and there I was suddenly having CT scans. I saw someone on Instagram have MS, and now I’m on an MS road, stressing with worry and just generally thinking all sorts of horrible things.

Health anxiety sucks. Hi!
