I have pain just below my sternum well it’s not pain it’s like fullness I guess. I feel like I need to burp I have but it’s not cleared and still have that feeling. I’m freaking out. I’ve had it since last night 😰

HildegardeCrowe · 14/05/2021 08:12

Hi all, sorry to hear some of us are struggling. Try to focus on the here and now today and bat those thoughts away. @Nannyamc, are you on Escitalopram? I’m on Citalopram which doesn’t seem to be doing much so might switch as I hear it’s a helpful drug. @Ethellsmum I obsess about things on my skin too and am currently worried about something on my back. I can’t take a photo though because of where it is (live alone) so might have to ask my ex-H who lives down the road? I hate telephone contact with the doctor too and much prefer face to face. What meds are you on?

Ethellsmum · 14/05/2021 13:27

@HildegardeCrowe I’m on 50mg sertraline. I’ve been on them since New Year.
I tell myself that It would be obvious if it was something serious but I just can’t believe myself.

BitOfAFaff · 14/05/2021 13:32

Hey.

I suffer really bad with anxiety/health anxiety.

I had the paramedics out yesterday as I phoned 111 and they called them out. I thought I was having a heart attack.

Paramedic thinks I am suffering with costochondritis and my IBS has flared up my rib cage.

They have put me on omeprazole for two weeks but since taking them yesterday my urine is full of what I assume is blood. I stupidly googled it now worried it can be all sorts. I want to cry.

I read it can be a rare side effect of the omeprazole just waiting for a call back from the doctor today.

I'm just so anxious I could cry.

BitOfAFaff · 14/05/2021 15:52

Apparently my urine doesn't have blood in so that's good! But a bit concerned why since having omeprazole my urine is so dark!

HildegardeCrowe · 14/05/2021 16:22

Good news @BitOfAFaff. Dark urine is usually a sign of dehydration - have you been drinking enough? Have just been on another thread where someone talks about having done “peak google” in relation to having a health worry. Meaning they’ve exhausted every single source of information and there’s nothing else to find out! I’ve had a good few days with no worries but of course something has come along and I’m spiralling again. I’ve already sent an online consult to my poor GP 🙁 Need to keep a lid on this because I’m due back at work in Monday. It’s shit.

Hope you're okay?

Yes, I've drunk about 3L and it's still so dark! I read it's a rare side effect of omeprazole so asked the pharmacist and he said just stop taking it then if it stops you know but I've never heard of it doing that. Thanks, helpful! So I phoned 111 and just waiting for a call back because it's only ever since the omeprazole I've had dark urine. But of course my head is telling me it's my liver.

BitOfAFaff · 14/05/2021 19:23

Sorry should of said I phoned 111 prescription service in hopes they can swap it over to something else!

BitOfAFaff · 16/05/2021 12:47

Just to add. I was told to stop omeprazole and see if my urine went back to normal. If it didn't I had to go for urgent blood tests to rule out a liver problem.

Thankfully it has gone back to normal now the omeprazole has left my system. Looks like I had the rare side effect. Typical.

SweetCaroline000 · 19/05/2021 07:03

How's everyone doing?

I've had an "ok" couple of weeks but seem to be starting again. I have a pain in my stomach just below my ribs so of course I'm thinking all sorts.

Hope everyone is doing okay

Galwaygirl · 19/05/2021 07:16

Hi, i have that pain your describing for the last few days accompanied by indigestion, it seems to be more centre based but moves left to right. If that makes sense! Going to try lansoprzole today. Sister thinks its diet related

BabyBabyx3 · 19/05/2021 16:27

Hi @Galwaygirl
Do you buy lamprozole over the counter.
I'm really worrying myself with it and thinking if I have other symptoms when I do that I start feeling other symptoms x

argueifnecessary · 21/05/2021 23:10

polkadotpixie · 22/05/2021 16:39

@argueifnecessary Is there any way to PM on the app? If not I'll have to dig my laptop out as I'd like to join

Galwaygirl · 22/05/2021 17:24

Hope everyone is doing OK. Am not to bad I think my sertraline is starting to help. Still having moments but there getting less x

MissJAG · 16/06/2021 14:13

Hi everyone.

I’m posting here hoping someone else has been through what I’m going through at the moment. A couple of months ago I noticed I get a dent in my left breast/Areola when I lift my arm above my head or when I bend over. I’ve been to two GPs the last couple of months and both said they couldn’t feel any lumps or see the indent but it is 100% there. You can only see it in certain lights and angles. I’ve booked another dr appointment for Monday to be checked over again because I’m concerned I’m being fobbed off because I’m only 22. I have been so worried about this for months now and I can’t stand how much it takes over my life. I have two young kids (3 and 16 months) and am breastfeeding the youngest so constantly checking my boobs. I have severe health anxiety and have been prescribed sertraline but am too scared to take it and have be referred for therapy. Anyway that’s enough about me...I’m just hoping GP will refer me on Monday so I can put my mind at rest about my boob and start living my life (until I find something else to become obsessed with probably Sad)

Goolies · 16/06/2021 16:03

Hey @MissJAG sorry to hear you’re struggling. I had the exact same thing like a vertical dent when I lift my arm. I got checked out and it’s fine. There’s a group of us that have set up a WhatsApp group which is so helpful if anyone wants to join just me know on here and I can give you alias name of the lady to send your number to x

MrsWhites · 16/06/2021 16:25

Hi @MissJAG, you could ask/insist that your GP refers you to the breast clinic. I’m sure it’s probably nothing though, could even be related to breast feeding. Sorry to hear it’s affecting your health anxiety though x

MissJAG · 16/06/2021 16:34

Hi @Goolies

Really? Was it only on one breast and on the nipple? Mine is and when I poke it it feels like there’s no breast tissue behind it it just goes straight to my rib...if that makes sense. Yes please I’d love to join x

MissJAG · 16/06/2021 16:36

I asked my GP this morning over the phone but she said she can’t refer me until she’s seen the problem herself otherwise they’ll reject the referral. So I’m seeing her on Monday but I’ll insist she refers me. The other two GPs felt and looked at my breasts but said they saw and felt nothing so sent me on my way.

Goolies · 16/06/2021 18:38

Hey @MissJAG yeah my dent kind of went accross the areola. I was obsessed with it and kept checking it from different angles and in different lights. I have moved into something else very soon after I got my reassurance though. If you private message your phone number to @argueifnecessary she will add you to the group.
