Hi ladies, back again for thread number 3!

OP posts:
tmh88 · 01/03/2021 15:43

@ofwarren I think I’m going to mention it Wednesday but it’s just plucking up the courage to do it in case it’s bad news, however if I don’t mention it I will beat myself up about it and if I do mention it I’ll beat myself up about it so I really can’t win!

Skyliner001 · 01/03/2021 16:09

@ofwarren Do you ever feel like if you went to the doctor every time you found a new lumpy bit, so obsessed over an old bed that you would be there every day, I feel like that

ofwarren · 01/03/2021 16:13

@skyliner001 totally!
I would be there for breasts, pain in my intestine, heavy periods, neck and back pain etc etc
The opticians too, even though I had a test about 8 weeks ago 😔

Skyliner001 · 01/03/2021 16:18

@ofwarren I think we are cut from the same cloth! As I would also be there with period worries!!

RunawayBride2 · 01/03/2021 16:30

@tmh88 I have a kind of fatty thing around my collarbone, funny another I only noticed this morning when I have a feel, I didn't google (for a change) and just convinced myself it normal.

@ofwarren I know what you mean about googling symptoms and then the top ones always bring C up and then I start convincing myself I have the symptoms. It's definitely a form of OCD

RunawayBride2 · 01/03/2021 16:31

My trigger today has been the diagnosis of scoliosis from my chest X-ray but now I'm thinking I have a tumour on my spine which is causing it. I've googled that and scared myself. Surly this would have been picked up on a X-ray, wouldn't it?

tmh88 · 01/03/2021 16:41

@RunawayBride2 mine are sort of like traceable diagonally up the collar bone! At both sides which I’m hoping is a good thing! A spinal tumor would definitely show, if you have any questions ask! I really don’t mind talking about my scoliosis at all x

tmh88 · 01/03/2021 16:43

Can anyone who’s had a head/neck ultrasound recall whether they do collar bones or not? 😂 I feel like they did when I went for my scan so I’m trying to think how long they could or been there from the scan! Unless it’s muscle like I’m thinking then they obviously wouldn’t of mentioned it!

Skyliner001 · 01/03/2021 17:09

I have! And yes they do, but they wouldn't mention anything unless you asked. When I had my giant breast cyst, I'm pretty sure the man only said healthy breast tissue when he was showing me things because I was so anxious.

Skyliner001 · 01/03/2021 17:10

Wow everyone, another nearly 1000 messages of support and empathy! It's nearly time for another thread 😊

Skyliner001 · 01/03/2021 17:10

A bit worried about @polkadotpixie If you are out there polkadot, hope you are okay!

tmh88 · 01/03/2021 17:17

@Skyliner001 good to know! I definitely didn’t ask anything about my collar bone and I cant remember him taking images there as I can remember the other places he did! Hopefully when he went over it was just muscle im thinking it is as I can track it up the bone if that makes sense and your collar bone is attached to a lot isn’t it! How are you doing? X
I can’t believe we are nearing thread 4 either! Grin

Skyliner001 · 01/03/2021 17:19

I honestly think it will just be muscle, or just body stuff, nothing bad at all. Just tissue and stuff I guess! The kind of thing that someone wouldn't notice without the health anxiety! I'm doing okay today actually, then a half day at work, and now having a half day of housework, I've nearly finished my period, and so my anxiety is normally at a low! Blooming hormones!

tmh88 · 01/03/2021 17:23

Yes I’m due on @Skyliner001 always makes me worse! Once I’m off my period I’ll be fine again most likely! Glad your doing ok! I can’t wait to be back at work! Sick of having too much time to think! Yes your right most likely muscle just wish my brain would give me a break!

Skyliner001 · 01/03/2021 17:39

There is a question in am I being unreasonable about collarbones as we speak!

Hatemyhusband · 01/03/2021 18:06

Got the results from my (3rd) 💩💩💩 sample today and it’s clear! Dr thinks someone input the massively high result wrongly, which I understand but I’ve had 5 days of absolute hell.
I’ve just eaten a massive dinner as magically I no longer feel sick.

However, I do stress that I do have this intermittent pain in my right bowel, but as I do have IBS I’m assuming it’s going to be that again.

I hope anyone waiting on results today has had similar good results.

Also, breast lumps. As someone who’s had cancer, as a general rule if a breast lump moves or disappears it’s not a worry (though should still be checked)
My lump was hard, it didn’t disappear and it was quite definitely there.

If you do check obsessively (and I do) do it with the flat of your hand, if you poke your fingers in you will feel all sorts, and do it with soapy hands in the shower, that’s the best way to feel anything xx

Skyliner001 · 01/03/2021 18:10

That is such brilliant news! You must be so relieved, glad you have had a good dinner!

Thank you so much for the advice re-breast lumps as well my lumpy bits are all movable, and aren't hard. Some of them are firm, but they aren't hard like a rock. They don't disappear though.

Skyliner001 · 01/03/2021 18:11

Oh, and most of my lumps are really hard to feel without using the tips of your fingers. When I use the palms of my fingers, they don't seem that different to the other areas of the breast

Skyliner001 · 01/03/2021 18:12

All of the lumpy bits feel like tissue, so whether they might not be the same on both sides, they are the same consistency if that makes sense

tmh88 · 01/03/2021 18:17

@Skyliner001 I will have a look for it now!

@Hatemyhusband so glad your results have come back clear! Glad you’ve managed to eat too! Flowers

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 01/03/2021 18:18

@Hatemyhusband brilliant news! So sorry you've had the worry!

ofwarren · 01/03/2021 18:20

Horrendous headache coming from my neck this evening. I spend so long on my phone, with my head looking downward that's it's no wonder.
I've got a scarf tied around it really tightly and had paracetamol. Currently in a dark room listening to some meditative sounds that are supposed to be for headache. It's probably woo but it makes me feel like I'm doing something.
It's true that the pandemic has given me more time to dwell on the sensations in my body. I was never as bad as this before. I need to be out of the house, keeping my mind off things.

tmh88 · 01/03/2021 18:26

@ofwarren I didn’t have health anxiety before the pandemic! I have worked a month since last March and the constant staying at home, my mums death in December and being my own worst enemy is really starting to get me down too!

RunawayBride2 · 01/03/2021 18:35

@Hatemyhusband brilliant news! So happy for you. It is amazing how once you find out clear results how you can completely change and start eating, thinking again x

RunawayBride2 · 01/03/2021 18:38

The pandemic has definitely increased my anxiety. I'm back in work tomorrow so I have brought myself some bed time Kalms, I really hope they work and I can get to sleep without worrying/Googling. I'm looking forward to being back for a bit of normality but I'm worried too...can't win lol
