Hi ladies, back again for thread number 3!

OP posts:
MarthasGinYard · 27/02/2021 23:42

'I do wonder if some of my troubles are Gallbladder. What kind of symptoms does it give you?'

HatemyHusband

I've never actually had any gall bladder issues I just knew they were there,

tmh88 · 28/02/2021 07:43

@MarthasGinYard I think anxiety can give you a whole range of aches and pains! I get really bad neck and shoulder pain with anxiety and then convince myself it’s cancer too! In regards to your stomach, I can feel little lumps and bumps all over it! I have a pea sized lump I can actually roll between my fingers my stomach is also not the best and very flabby/stretch marked since having DS 3 years ago so I put it down to that Xx

polkadotpixie · 28/02/2021 09:16

I've got myself in a right state this morning. I need to wee constantly but there's no burning and I've dipped my urine and can't see any signs of a UTI so it's just fuelling my terror that this is ovarian cancer

I can't bare this any more. I need someone to give me answers 😭

I'm not even sure if getting the CA125 results will make me feel better (even if they're normal) as I've read it's not very accurate

I don't know if I'm going to vomit or pass out or cry. I want to go to the hospital and refuse to leave until they do the MRI scan but I know they won't do it

ofwarren · 28/02/2021 09:44

@polkadotpixie
Is your GP aware of your health anxiety?
Mine put me on the 2 week pathway for my most recent MRI, not because she thinks it's cancer, but because she knows how waiting affects my mental health.

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 28/02/2021 09:52

@polkadotpixie I'm so sorry you're having such an awful time, is there any chance you can ring your GP tomorrow and see if there's anything they can do in terms of putting you through more quickly based on your health anxiety?

ofwarren · 28/02/2021 09:52

I had a decent night once I'd drank wine and had pain killers. I still feel the sore hard lump under my jaw and my ear/throat are still sore on that side, but for now I'm not panicking about it.
The doctor cannot feel this lump as it's too deep and nothing was on my panoramic X ray so I don't know what to make of it really. It's definitely there, I'm not imagining it. I can feel what I think is the other side of it next to my tonsil.
I still think it's eagle syndrome but the doctors won't entertain the idea "because it's rare".
The symptoms fit though. Eagles is where your styloid process can be felt under the jaw and next to your tonsil as it's calcified and presses on the surrounding structures.
I'm at Maxillofacial on Tuesday and hopefully they are less dismissive this time.

makeminetwo · 28/02/2021 10:22

@polkadotpixie I was going through this a couple of weeks ago, although something to do with my heart, I had to wait 3 weeks for a scan. I couldn't cope so I went to a&e and they scanned me then and all was okay but the wait was awful I was crying, shaking and having panic attacks. Even though they have told me all is ok I still keep thinking it's not.

Do you have a date for your MRI x

polkadotpixie · 28/02/2021 13:08

I've not got a date for the MRI yet no 😞 I'm going to ring radiology tomorrow and also my GP and hopefully it won't be too long. The doctor said she was going do it as an urgent request so 🤞🤞🤞it's not going to be too long

RunawayBride2 · 28/02/2021 13:56

I've suffer health anxiety for years but it has been ramped up the last few months. I have been having chest pains for about 10 weeks. Gp thinks long covid and send me for chest X-ray, bloods all normal apart from scoliosis (curved spine) picked up. Since then my anxiety has been sky high and I have been having all sorts of symptoms but mainly my ribs are hurting to touch - I googled and saw costacondritis (think that's how you spell it) but I just cannot get out of this frame of mind of thinking I have something seriously wrong with me

ofwarren · 28/02/2021 14:58

@Runawaybride2 What advice has your GP given you? Do they want you to wait it out and see if it goes away?
Do your ribs hurt on their own? Do you prod them? I know I make myself sore at times, just from constantly poking certain areas.

RunawayBride2 · 28/02/2021 15:01

@ofwarren GP just saying it is long covid as they don't really know. I'm not sure it is long covid.
They don't really hurt on there own it's if I press them, but I don't know if it's just me imagining it - if I'm busy I forget about it and don't notice, it's when I sit down. hate having anxiety Sad

ofwarren · 28/02/2021 15:05

@runawaybride1
I have just prodded mine to see if they hurt, and they do, especially in the cartilage area between the breasts.
I wonder if it's just normal for them to be tender?

RunawayBride2 · 28/02/2021 15:21

Thank you so much @ofwarren that has made me feel better. I know it probably is me and my anxiety and I can feel myself spiralling but can't stop up x

ofwarren · 28/02/2021 15:25

It's so hard isn't it @runawaybride1
I did so well yesterday (I drank wine so was relaxed) but today I'm on a Google fest. Just can't stop checking symptoms. I've got the torch down my throat and I'm prodding my tonsil. It really does take over your life.

ofwarren · 28/02/2021 15:32

I don't know why I keep writing your username wrong runawaybride I'm just not with it today at all. I seriously need to put the phone away.

Jumping in here as been away from the phone but the cartilage between my breasts is tender!

RunawayBride2 · 28/02/2021 16:25

You are all so lovely and supportive in this thread. Thank you so much it really helps when I'm struggling so much Thanks

tmh88 · 28/02/2021 16:54

@RunawayBride2 my ribs are always tender to touch Flowers I also have scoliosis if you have any questions just ask x

ofwarren · 28/02/2021 17:06

When you lean over, to take something out of the oven for example, do any of you get a pressure build up feeling in your head?
It's not a pain as such, but my ears get full and my sinuses feel sort of heavy.
It's one of those "checking" days today 😔

ofwarren · 28/02/2021 17:17

It's actually given me a headache in my sinus area. I don't have a sinus infection though.
So frustrating

RunawayBride2 · 28/02/2021 17:18

@ofwarren yes I always get that, it can be quite scary and sometimes I go off balance.

@tmh88 it's funny because I never knew about the scoliosis but now I've been told I'm thinking it that what's causing my chest pains and thinking I can feel pains in my back when before I knew about it it hadn't caused any problems. How long have you known about yours and how did you find out about it x

tmh88 · 28/02/2021 17:43

@ofwarren yes sounds daft but I looked under couch for remote earlier and felt a funny feeling of pressure in my jaw/ear! I get it doing yoga too!

@RunawayBride2 I have had it at least 10 years now medically diagnosed! I do get back pain flare ups with mine occasionally however I’m never sure if it’s the scoliosis or because my stomach muscles split when I had DS as that can also give back ache, I’m never sure if my muscles are back together at all as my stomach is a bit of car crash now of stretch mark, fatty lumps, loose skin and cellulite, DS was a very big baby! Blush mines classed as mild and I have wonky shoulders! However severe enough that I couldn’t ever have a spinal/epidural due to the curve and I don’t have any treatment for it other than I take paracetamol when I get a bad back! xx

tmh88 · 28/02/2021 17:44

@ofwarren it almost feels like my cheek/head is filling up with air! Can’t describe it really but I know exactly what you mean xx

ofwarren · 28/02/2021 17:45

@tmh88 it's so weird!
It's gone into a full blown headache now though. Starting at the back of my neck and radiating to my forehead.
I'd just love a day where I feel absolutely nothing 😔

tmh88 · 28/02/2021 17:51

@ofwarren it takes me a couple of minutes to come round from it! I started with a headache after too earlier on because for some reason after the first time I wanted to check if it did it again today or was a one off and did it a couple more times...Hmm
