Hi ladies, back again for thread number 3!

@Skyliner001 thank you so much for sharing your experience with lymphoma. For anyone worrying about that particular health issue, what you've said from experiencing it first hand will be so helpful! I have a friend who had lymphoma a few years ago, when she was having treatment I remember taking her to hospital one afternoon cause she got a huge swelling on her vagina, I think it was a reaction to the treatment but it was like a golf ball! Thankfully she's in remission now, her hairs grown back and she has a little girl Smile she's been shielding throughout this though which I assume you'll have been doing? If you have I hope it hasn't been too hard for you!

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 26/02/2021 22:39

@StooriMidori HUGE good booby vibes! It's good your GP sent you for peace of mind. My pains and soreness have strangely gone, which I'm not complaining about at all. I think it's possibly maybe a mix of my sertraline and hormones possibly

@polkadotpixie I've just caught up with your latest post and I'm sending you so much love as waiting for your results will be playing on your mind until you get them. We're all with you so please don't feel that you're on your own

@tmh88 have you ever had vertigo? I'm wondering if it could be that or whether you possibly have a build up of wax and need your ears syringing; it's amazing how many problems wax can cause

tmh88 · 27/02/2021 07:55

@dillydallydollydaydream7 Im not actually sure! I’m too scared to google as I convinced myself I had a cancer last night that 80 people a year get diagnosed with Blush however I will research vertigo! Is there anything they can do for that? I have temporary relief from symptoms when I pop my ears and then after half an hour or so it’s back xx

polkadotpixie · 27/02/2021 07:57

I'm really struggling this morning, been awake since 4:30 and anxiety is sky high

I'm noticing symptoms now that hadn't really registered before like needing a wee more often recently (I thought it was just my age and having had a baby) and my mind and thoughts are spiralling...I've convinced myself this pain in my ribs is due to liver metastasis

I think I'm going to have to take some Diazepam, I'm in such a state I can barely look after my 2 year old

WasntItGood · 27/02/2021 08:01

@polkadotpixie oh sweetie I was like that a couple of weeks ago, I totally understand. Anxiety can cause physical symptoms. As soon as I had my results that everything was ok my symptoms disappeared. Can you go for a walk to try take your mind of it for a bit? When will you have results x

ofwarren · 27/02/2021 08:09

@3boyshere
Welcome to the thread. Everyone is hugely supportive so post as much as you like 💐

ofwarren · 27/02/2021 08:11

@polkadotpixie
Bless you, I've been there and would be exactly the same as you now.
The fear is immense isn't it.
Do you have anyone to look after your 2 year old so you can try and get some rest today?

chorusline79 · 27/02/2021 08:38

@polkadotpixie definitely agree that anxiety can be causing symptoms - frequent weeing can be anxiety related, I had this earlier in the year and was going for a wee more than 30 times a day. They couldn't find anything wrong and it just went away on its own.
Hope you can get some peace today and try to distract if you can!

tmh88 · 27/02/2021 09:01

@polkadotpixie horrible feeling, I’m sure we have all been there too! If it helps I wee a lot and my ribs always hurt to touch x

Skyliner001 · 27/02/2021 09:01

@polkadotpixie I went through an anxiety weeing a lot cycle a couple of weeks ago, I also we quite a lot. Particularly at night, and definitely more with anxiety! I can imagine how stressed you must be, 100% sure that you are going to be fine. But this horrible period before you get the results will be really difficult. Sending so much love ❤️

tmh88 · 27/02/2021 09:02

@ofwarren how is everything going with your ear? Do you have a date for your MRI x

Skyliner001 · 27/02/2021 09:02

@dillydallydollydaydream7 thankfully no, because it was so long ago I'm not classed as vulnerable in the slightest! Which has been a good thing I guess! I think if it had been one or two years afterwards they might of asked me to isolate. I appear to have a very strong immune system on the whole, but I'm not sure whether they technically will be some long-term effects. Anyhow, thankfully I didn't have to isolate at all! I honestly don't know how people have done that.

tmh88 · 27/02/2021 09:05

Just to respond to everyone I would love a meet up 😂 we would have to wear name badges with our username on and real names underneath Blush

ofwarren · 27/02/2021 09:10

@tmh88
I have an appointment with the maxillofacial consultant on the 2nd, to look at this lump near my tonsil and then an MRI on the 6th.
The MRI is booked in because I went to A&E with facial numbness on the bad side last week. It's via the stroke clinic. I know it's not a stroke, it's to do with my ear. The appointment just says "MRI HEAD" so I'm hoping they will look at neck too. I have underactive thyroid and want them to look for nodules etc. If I swallow with my head down, something catches on the bad side.
My GP referred me to ENT too but that's not till June 😔
I think I have eagle syndrome as that is diagnosed when you have a bony protrusion near your tonsil and can cause all the symptoms I have, but the doctors say it's not because eagles is "rare" 🙄.
I'm just in constant discomfort and nothing I do takes my mind off it.

tmh88 · 27/02/2021 09:13

Oh gosh @ofwarren it’s a nightmare when your gp won’t listen isn’t it! The dr I spoke to this week was certain I had etd, I’m seeing them this week coming so I’ll let you know what’s said! What are your symptoms? I hope everything goes well with your scans and you get your answers!

tmh88 · 27/02/2021 09:17

I have pain in my ear when I drink/eat I always have a tingly ear/jaw when I eat but this is like proper pain I can’t explain it really! @ofwarren

MrsWhites · 27/02/2021 09:22

Morning everyone.

@tmh88 sorry to hear you were struggling, hope you are feeling better now. I agree your ear issue could be vertigo or perhaps an inner ear infection?

@StooriMidori i have my fingers crossed for your appointment at the breast clinic.

@polkadotpixie I agree with others that frequent weeing can be a sign of stress and worry, hopefully it is just that!

OP posts:
ofwarren · 27/02/2021 09:22

@tmh88
The symptoms are constant ear pain which is a burning ache with the odd sharp jab, crackling ear which blocks and the nasal spray loosens and it moves occasionally to my sinus, post nasal drip with has made my throat sore on one side and it feels swollen behind my ear drum and where it drains into the throat.
I get dizzyness, disoriented sensation, horrendous itching/tingling deep in the ear. It's sore in the structures around the ear if I like them.
I'm getting headaches that seem to come from the back of my neck, but I don't know if that's stress related.
The doctor said my ear drum looks dull and bulging due to the fluid/pressure behind it.

ofwarren · 27/02/2021 09:23

Poke, not like.. sorry

MrsWhites · 27/02/2021 09:27

It’s Saturday everyone, I know lots of us struggle at the weekend so hoping we all have a good weekend!

Does anyone else find they wake up very anxious because of a dream? My dream was about breast cancers and someone who had had a mastectomy. My mum has had a mastectomy and yesterday I ended up in front of a mirror for half an hour trying to persuade myself that the reason my boobs look different to each other is because one is bigger. I actually considered trying to weigh them individually to prove to myself that one is bigger! 🙈 I’m now trying to reason that the dream came from that anxiety yesterday and it’s not a sign or a warning!

That’s why I love this group so much, nowhere else in the world could I confess to considering weighing each boob! 😂

OP posts:
Skyliner001 · 27/02/2021 09:38

Oh good yes @MrsWhites And totally sympathise with the boob weighing, I haven't considered that particular thing, but have considered so many other things which people outside of this group would consider crazy!

MrsWhites · 27/02/2021 09:42

@Skyliner001 I was actually thinking if I put my digital cookery scales on the edge of my dressing table would I be able to lean each one on it! Thankfully I didn’t go through with it, I think that might have been a new low for me 😂

OP posts:
tmh88 · 27/02/2021 09:50

@ofwarren have you looked at etd online? Your symptoms match mine I can’t touch my ear/jaw as it’s too painful. It does sound like you could have etd which is what my gp is thinking I have it’s really common!

@MrsWhites I did look at vertigo but I couldn’t find anything which says it causes pain but I didn’t want to google too much as I scared myself silly on google last night thinking I had some sort of brain tumour causing this ear pain Hmm x

ofwarren · 27/02/2021 09:54

@tmh88 I did look up ETD online and for the ear itself, the symptoms do match.
I'm concerned about these neck/throat issues though, and the swelling and catching in these areas. I'm worried that it's a growth that is causing the ET to malfunction.
I had a panoramic X ray at the dental hospital yesterday over a different issue and he never said anything about it. No idea if a cancer would show on something like that though.

ofwarren · 27/02/2021 09:57

@MrsWhites I confess to boob weighing in the past 😁 one of mine is considerably heavier!
I'd do it if you think it might make you feel a bit better 🤷
