Hi ladies, back again for thread number 3!

OP posts:
tmh88 · 22/02/2021 17:20

Having massive anxiety.. does anyone know if you can feel the muscle that goes over your collarbone? I can’t tell if what I’m feeling is lumps or the muscle! I was feeling my collar bones... as you do and there’s like a weird part same on either side that sort of feels like a lump but I can’t trace how far it goes up and down? Logically it’ll be muscle or a tendon I would imagine? but I googled and I’m now in a mess wishing I never booked the bloody wedding!Blush

tmh88 · 22/02/2021 17:20

The lumpy bit I can feel on both sides is directly on the collar bone! Not above or below sat on it almost!

Skyliner001 · 22/02/2021 17:45

Deep breath @tmh88

What you can feel is on both sides, which is good.

Lymph nodes are not on the bone, they are under and above it.

I can feel 'stuff' above the bone on both sides, not sure whether it's tissue or muscle. It's not lumps though.

X

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 22/02/2021 18:35

@tmh88 if you can feel it on both sides it's not a problem! I can feel like bony knobbly bits where my collar bone joins the shoulder. Also if it's hard it's bony so not a problem either.

tmh88 · 22/02/2021 18:42

@Skyliner001 thank you! that is really good to know, I didn't know you couldn't feel them on the bone! such a wave of relief now! I know how daft this sounds but I really thought this is because I tempted fate booking the wedding! hate myself sometimes I really do! Blush x

@onlyreadingneverposting8 they aren't hard, they are soft and move up and down but I think your right its at both sides and most likely the muscle etc that runs over it! x

TheSilentStars · 22/02/2021 18:45

@StooriMidori Yes! I calm myself by dangling and then I realise they're the same!
What are we like!

tmh88 · 22/02/2021 18:51

does anyone else after a massive anxiety wobble once you've calmed down, feel really annoyed at themselves? I worry sometimes that I'm going to be like this forever always finding something to worry about!

Skyliner001 · 22/02/2021 18:57

Yes I do! It's part of the anxiety I guess. Annoyed and frustrated because I know I'll find something else!

Skyliner001 · 22/02/2021 18:57

Also extremely tired.

chorusline79 · 22/02/2021 19:33

Yes @tmh88 I do, and I also get incredibly frustrated with myself and when I'm feeling well I just realise how ridiculous I am! Then when I go through a bad patch I wonder how I could have been so carefree!

MrsWhites · 22/02/2021 19:49

Thank you for the support @Skyliner001 and @onlyreadingneverposting8. It does sound similar to what you describe skyliner. I’ve calmed down a bit now and realised that I don’t have any other symptoms so I need to just accept that they are spots.

I can also recommend Hycosan, much better than other eye drops so worth the extra money. My optician told me to get them when I was suffering with dry eyes.

@tmh88 I think I’ve got bumpy bits near my collarbone too and yes I feel quite angry with myself sometimes too. I feel like I’m wasting my life worrying!

Just spent twenty mins in the toilet shining my I phone torch in different directions on my boobs looking for dents/dimples and obsessing about any parts which aren't dolphin smooth 😳😳

chorusline79 · 22/02/2021 20:19

@MrsWhites sorry you've had a lot of stress with cervix. Definitely prodding and poking no good and can definitely cause more probs. Doc told me my neck looked red and sore from poking it, and since she told me neck was nothing to worry about the pain has gone as I was making it painful in the first place! Hope you're ok now.

chorusline79 · 22/02/2021 20:20

@Skyliner001 I definitely have different textures, as stretch marks etc mean my boob skin definitely not even and smooth!

Skyliner001 · 22/02/2021 20:22

Thanks @chorusline79 that helps xxx

KasparKat · 22/02/2021 20:25

I have had panics in the past after finding lumpy bits around my collar bones. There are a lot of different tendons/ligaments/muscles there as well as lymph nodes so it would be odd if it felt completely smooth without any lumpy/stringy bits. DH made me feel his a few times and they were just as lumpy and weird so that made me stop the panicking.

Well today my headache and dizziness have gone but the sinus pressure and tight chest are back! Yesterday I was thinking how silly I had been to worry about tight chest and sinuses and now they're back, I'm straight back to worrying again.

I feel like I am so unhealthy at the moment, I just can't shake off this sinus stuff. Worried that all the stress and anxiety lowers my immune system and therefore if I get covid when the DC go back to school I will be one of the 1% that gets it really badly Sad. I eat pretty healthy, am slim, no major health conditions and used to be pretty fit, a bit less so now after lockdown but not too bad. And yet I can't even shake off a sinus infection, it's been 7 weeks now I think.

I get cross at myself as I think I am the one making myself ill due to all the stress and anxiety that comes from my brain. Really sick of it all today!

KasparKat · 22/02/2021 20:26

I also have some weird kind of bump on my cervix. Found it a couple of years ago, panicked and saw a lovely female GP who was so reassuring. She told me the name of it but I can't remember what it's called now. Some kind of cyst beginning with an n I think? I'm not going to Google! She said it was absolutely normal and nothing to worry about and no increased risk of cancer.

tmh88 · 22/02/2021 20:31

@chorusline79 couldn’t agree more!

@MrsWhites I think it must just be a lumpy area!

@Skyliner001 I have wide set pores/stretch marks/cysts/lumps/bumps/red marks/wonky nips/one bigger than the other! I have the works Grin honestly mine is like find a patch of normal breast Blush

@KasparKat thank you that’s really helped me get some perspective! I have sinus pressure all year round! Have you tried a humidifier next to you bed? I also sleep on my back propped up when I’m bad but it does give me strange dreams for some reason when I sleep on my back Blush I’m sick of it today too just wish we all didn’t feel this way! Big hugs Flowers

Skyliner001 · 22/02/2021 20:34

Oh bless you @tmh88 sounds like a lot to stress about! Boobs are stressful things!!! Xxx

Skyliner001 · 22/02/2021 20:35

@KasparKat Totally hear you about feeling like you are making yourself ill. Exhausted myself so much this weekend.

Thanks for the cervix feedback! Glad you got reassurance on your lump xxx

KasparKat · 22/02/2021 20:42

@tmh88 have you ever seen the GP about sinus pressure? I already sleep propped up on my back due to silent reflux (diagnosed after I convinced myself I had throat cancer as I had a sore throat for 3 months...). I can ever feel it in my top teeth today. But I'm wondering if that is connected to my teeth clenching rather than sinuses.

I have always had really crazy and often scary dreams. Think my anxiety follows me into my dreams!

tmh88 · 22/02/2021 20:42

@Skyliner001 weirdly.. I don’t get breast anxiety ever! Think it’s because if there was something new I really would not know! Blush hope it makes you feel better that your not alone though! xxx

tmh88 · 22/02/2021 20:45

@KasparKat only the odd times I have had sinusitis! I’ve had bad nasal drip/acid since Christmas that’s pain free strangely! I think sinus pressure is quite common especially thus time of year x my humidifier helps it’s just a plug in one on my bedside table, facial steaming helps too!

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 22/02/2021 22:37

@KasparKat I have sinus problems without the sinuses if that even makes sense. My nose was knocked and dislodged years ago so every few weeks I get sinus headaches and pressure and it's awful. For me, applying pressure such as squeezing around the sinus area really helps. Also a beconase nasal spray I got from the GP helped me too, I think you can possibly get it from the pharmacy now. I'm also worried about catching Covid. I go back to work on 1st June and I train school staff and go out to schools for observations

@tmh88 pleased you feel better about your collarbone - I've just checked mine and the bone is too lumpy and bumpy and has gone right through me!

@MrsWhites bless you! Have you had a smear recently? You could have had it for ages like you've said and it could just be a part of your internal anatomy

tmh88 · 22/02/2021 23:36

@dillydallydollydaydream7 yes they appear to have funny lumpy/moving muscley bits on everyone it seems Blush thank you for the reassurance Flowers
