Hi ladies, back again for thread number 3!

OP posts:
Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 15:55

I don't feel that I wake up needing a wee, it's more that when I wake up, I absolutely have to go for a wee otherwise I consider myself not to be fully comfortable. I just somehow can't relax. It's really weird and annoying.

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 15:56

Thanks ladies, it's good to hear that it's probably normal to go to for a wee in the night. I've looked into it and apparently one in three people suffer from nocturia. But nocturia really is wearing more than once a night if you are over 60!

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 15:57

Sorry, it's weighing more than one tonight if you are under 60, and weighing more than twice a night if you are over 60. So I guess I normally we want tonight, so it probably doesn't count as nocturia! I'm going to experiment with reducing my salt intake, and also reducing my water, or liquid intake later in the day. I'm going to try and drink more so I'm more hydrated by early evening. As I tend to be thirsty in the evening because I haven't drunk enough

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 15:58

I googled, and there are quite a few mums net threads about people being loads in the night! It seems to be a fairly common thing

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 16:19

Just scratched my boob, and thought I felt a lump, and have now been examining them for the last 20 minutes. It's exhausting isn't it? (there was no lump there… But I will probably go back to Check again…and again... and again....)

Squeekybummum · 17/02/2021 16:28

Hi all, can't believe this is on its 3rd thread. I remember commenting on the 1st one.

I'm having really bad few days. I have been OK for about a week and now I can feel myself getting all anxious again and worried. I'm trying to keep busy and do all the stuff I have been told to do but just can't get it out of my head.

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 16:38

Hi @Squeekybummum 😊 Sorry you are having a bad day, I'm also having a really bad day today, I'm moving between period worries, to brain tumours, to breasts, to lymph-node's… I feel very tired.

Squeekybummum · 17/02/2021 16:44

skyliner001 it's awful isn't it. I have kept off Google until today.
I have had this spot on my arm, faded a little but checked it earlier and something must have agrivated it and it's looking red now.
As you can imagine Google is saying bloody leukaemia 😩

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 18:01

It's such a nightmare, I have a very slight dimple on my upper abdomen, just about 2 inches below my breasts, in the middle, and I spent ages in front of the mirror pulling at it, even though it's not actually on my breast!

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 18:01

I seem to have good days and bad days, I'm thinking of tracking them a bit more thoroughly, to try and find out if there is a pattern.

Squeekybummum · 17/02/2021 18:18

Yeah sounds like a good idea trying to track when the bad days come.
Saying things out loud sound so silly. Told my husband and shown him the spot. He said it's a spot it's nothing to worry about. He honestly doesn't understand what goes through my head.

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 18:52

I get that, sometimes I don't even understand what goes through my own head. I've now found a slight dent where my bra has been digging in all day, I know that's what it is, as it's really clear. But I'm poking it and pulling it, and it's starting to really hurt.

Nogodsnomasters · 17/02/2021 19:30

Hey just thought I'd share because I remembered someone on here mentioned a book called dare, I'm not sure if this is unaffiliated or not but there is a free app called "dare" you can pay extra for more content but I haven't, anyway there is a specific section for health anxiety and it's little short listening videos of ways to help over come it, I've listened to the first two so far.

Finished my antibiotics a week ago and my tooth and ear are killing me AGAIN, gonna ring the dentist tomorrow and beg them for an earlier appointment for this root canal, I can't take this pain when I need to function for kids/house/work. 🙄 Someone shoot me.

TheSilentStars · 17/02/2021 20:00

How is @onlyreadingneverposting8 baby now? Hope she is better!
@Skyliner001, I wee in the night almost every night. But I also wee at least 3 times in a row, (as in I don't leave the loo) before bed. I can turn it on like a tap.
When I thought I had a bladder infection in October, the GP asked me if I went in the night and I said "oh yeah!" And she looked all worried and said "how many times?" When I said once, sometimes twice, she said "oh that's alright then".

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 17/02/2021 20:04

Thanks everyone! Baby is much better now!! I'm realising that EVERYTHING she gets is going to be very stressful and I'm definitely going to baby her 😬

I'd be pretty certain that the weeping is all anxiety driven! I used to have a terrible fear of wetting the bed (as a child) and would go to the loo multiple times if I couldn't get to sleep. I also have a friend who has recently been prescribed a medication for her nervous bladder! Says she feels like she has an infection but she doesn't.

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 17/02/2021 21:17

@Skyliner001 I can wee on demand! I'm like one of those children who have to suss out the toilets in a new place 😂 I go through the night and loads through the day. No water infections, even before I had the kids I used to go a lot. I wouldn't say I drink a lot but sometimes I find if I have a lot of caffeine it literally goes through me

I've been having such a positive few days and thought I was getting somewhere and now I'm back here and I'm so disappointed with myself (however if I must be back here I'm so pleased it's with lovely people like you all ❤️). Spoke to the doctor last week about a repeat for my sertraline and mentioned my sore nipple again and she said if it's intermittent and it isn't all the time and not as often as before she thinks it's just hormones from when I was pregnant especially as there aren't any lumps that I can feel. She said in 2 weeks if it's still worrying me she will see it or prescribe another cream but she didn't seem concerned at all. Now yes this is a good thing but I've spent tonight just glaring at it and wondering if I can see dimples on it and all sorts. When I think about it, it hurts. Waaaaaa

Hope everyone else is doing OK

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 17/02/2021 21:18

Oh and Covid!!!!! I'm laid here having a flap on worrying about catching it!

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 22:28

Good evening ladies, I'm sorry to report I've had a really bad evening. Crazily I've been obsessing about feeling ribs through my breast tissue. Going back over them and back over them and back over them, worrying about whether they are lumps even though I know they are ribs. Feel like I'm going mad, I've made my entire chest go really red from poking.

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 22:28

I'd also had such a good few positive days, So disappointed in myself. Paragraph

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 22:30

Good to hear that I am not the only person who wees at night.

MrsWhites · 17/02/2021 22:37

@Skyliner001 sorry to hear you are having a bad day, I don’t wake up to see but I do seem to do the same as @TheSilentStars I go 2-3 times one after the other before bed. If you don’t actually wake up needing to wee it sounds more like a physiological/habit type thing to me. Sorry you’ve had an anxious type day, I’ve been a bit pokey myself.

Hope tomorrow is a better day for you x

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 22:49

Thanks @MrsWhites Here's hoping, sorry you've been pokey too 💚

Skyliner001 · 17/02/2021 22:59

@TheSilentStars That is the same with me!!! Once as I head to bed, one 'final wee' and then one more. 😳😳

tmh88 · 18/02/2021 08:02

Morning! Wishing you all a better day than yesterday!Flowers

MrsWhites · 18/02/2021 08:37
