Seeing all these Feeling Low Posts makes me feel like screaming THAT'S LIFE

I'm sorry

I don't really read these threads

I do know that depression is a real illness and requires medical help and I do not wish to denigrate those who are suffering in this way

I cannot help thinking that a lot of these posts stem from expecting more from life than there really is. Some people just seem to want to feel good all the time, and the things that are getting you down are JUST LIFE

I think a lot of you do need to pull your socks up and stop analysing things. just get on with your lives and make the best of it

God forbid you had something proper to worry about - like war, disease, famine

Don't seem to see many of the mothers from the SN board posting here nor those who I do see as having real problems to worry about.

what is it about depression i thought it was about people just wanting a winge about anything sorry

SenoraPostrophe · 25/10/2004 22:56

sobernow - the sister of enid's dh would.

I think this could have been a horrible coincidence - i have problems with thinking of people by their married names, iyswim.

nikcola · 25/10/2004 22:56

ok i will read her post again

JoolsToo · 25/10/2004 22:56

should we be trying to guess who? An MNer has posted an opinion (albeit anonymously, whatever!) - some agreed some did not - nothing unusual in that - why does everyone get so aerated - deep breathing everyone

see didnt say anything bad about depression xxx and neither did i

hercules · 25/10/2004 22:59

I agree Jools. I dont see why their identity is relevant. We are all entitled to post under other names. Just because we dont agree with what they post doesnt mean we can demand they give their "real" name.

I really dont think that they will post here again anyway after all the nasty insults.

fairyfly · 25/10/2004 22:59

hercules · 25/10/2004 23:00

moomina · 25/10/2004 23:01

But according to pph they have posted here again...

Anyway, I've said my bit. I'm going to bed. Nighty night.

jampot · 25/10/2004 23:03

Acer - I was just proving I am not a "CS"

acer · 25/10/2004 23:06

sorry jampot I am fairly new here and I think I may have had a little too much to drink (dh is away, and I hate it on my own)

acer - I hate it when my dh goes away too. I always sleep with my mobile phone in my hand! Think I might try drinking next time he goes away then

JoolsToo · 25/10/2004 23:10

Demented - yes and really too little to offer 'real' advice

miam · 25/10/2004 23:10

Demented - pull your socks up and stop analysing things IMMEDIATELY!!!!

fairyfly · 25/10/2004 23:12

This is going round in circles, she didn't say people with problems should not share them

joanneg · 25/10/2004 23:13

Jools - but you dont always need to offer loads of usful advice - it is just nice for somebody to listen (what the samaritans do so well) or just to have a chat about it helps put it straight in your mind

joanneg - true! - I did say earlier - when I have posted on these threads I have tried only to offer support - I don't feel qualified to offer advice. I tend not to go on these threads now.

miam · 25/10/2004 23:15

Yes fairyfly, but she suggested that only people with serious problems should post. This should be a board for anyone who feels down and wants to talk. However serious things are depends on how badly someone feels at the time, irrespective of how their problems compare to others.
