@cutthroughtothefield you are welcome and deserving of help.
Glad he is coming back. Have a chilled Sunday, as others have suggested, film, cuppa, etc.
Then you can both go to the doctors tomorrow and see what options you could consider.

You're so welcome op. Starting this thread and asking your husband for help was two really, really brave and positive things you did. So you've already made a great start today Smile

Jeremyironsnothing · 05/07/2020 07:58

May this be the beginning of feeling better. Don't be afraid of reaching out to the doctor. As a pp said, if you'd broken a leg you'd not hesitate to get help. You might have to try several medications before you find the perfect one and perfect dose. Don't give up.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 05/07/2020 07:58

So pleased OP. My current DH is supportive, XH wasn't. It helps enormously having someone just on your side, and it sounds like you've got that x

mellowww · 05/07/2020 08:02

Great he's coming to be with you. It sounds like he does want to do whatever he can. He loves you. You are valuable to him.

I think you should get away with him when it's possible. Some kind of break. A change of scene to remind you there's life out there. Some pleasure. Your life is for you to enjoy. 💐

IncrediblySadToo · 05/07/2020 08:05

How long will it take him to get home?

Could you manage a shower in the meantime do that you feel vaguely human?

PrawnMeringue · 05/07/2020 08:08

Thinking of you op. Remember your illness is not you. You are magnificent. It is just your illness telling you otherwise.

@cutthroughtothefield it can be hard to believe because of how you are now feeling, but from what you have said, you're a lot stronger than you're able to credit yourself with. You've been to this place before and you came back from it, that makes you strong. This place makes you feel worthless, hopeless, like giving up, it's like the fire has went out inside of you. From here, you build that fire again and look after it until it burns brightly again. It's working out what you need to help you do that at the moment.

It sounds like family issues are a big stressor for you at the moment so talking to someone could help you to look at this from a fresh perspective to help you work through this however you need to.

ScarletMouse · 05/07/2020 08:43

Please reach out to your GP and let them know your experience of the medication, it can be trial and error to find the one that works best but that information helps them to decide.

As PP's have said, you have done so well to reach out this morning, and it seems like this has brought you some comfort already which is so so good. Set an intention for yourself to reach out to your GP tomorrow to continue this journey.

OP, have you ever had counselling or any kind of talking therapy before?

cutthroughtothefield · 05/07/2020 09:10

Thank you so much everyone. I will reply properly when I can. All so kind and lovely. Your words have given me strength

That's great to hear op. Remember sometimes you just need to make it through one minute at a time. Really, well done for asking for help. It's the hardest thing in the world to do.
