I’m on day 13 of sertraline, I can feel I have improved slightly but my anxiety is so bad much worse since starting the sertraline! I’m
Really struggling to even get out of bed in a morning! I also have no appetite at all! Is this normal? Since I’v started taking sertraline I really feel like I’ve gone down hill.

@MariposaPink I had/have all those side effects! I’m on week 4 of taking sertraline I’ve been close to giving up on them so many times! I’ve just started to feel some very small improvements it’s a very slow process from what I can gather! I still wake during the night too!

@Lottie124 it's hard going isn't it! I sometimes wonder if this is how it's supposed to be or if they're not actually working. I would hate to get 4-5 weeks down the line without improvement and start something else only to go through it all again. Right now I'm despairing. I have short bursts of clarity and then back downhill again. I'm sure I've got some depression also now. I just want to run away from my mind!

I'll be at five weeks tomorrow. Still off work. Still getting days when there seems to be nothing but panic. I've had a few brighter times but not many. Beginning to wonder if I'm wasting my time. Been on 50mg 2 weeks and 100mg for nearly 3 😢😢

@Umbongo1 I think I saw in an earlier thread that you felt the GP might say that it would be too early to change meds at that time. Perhaps now would be a good time to give him/her a call? Just to review everything and see what your options are.

Yeah I am hoping to stick at it with the sertraline but I just have no frame of reference for how I should be feeling and whether it's working or not. Frustrating times.

Totally. I'm the same as you. I don't know if it's me or the meds or if the meds are compatible with me or not. It just adds to the anxiety.
I sobbed on the phone to my GP on Monday morning and he promised me I should be feeling better next week. I'm holding on to that promise for dear life.
My SIL lives in Spain and is sending lots of lovely pictures of her and my niece enjoying themselves on the beach. I wish I could jump through my phone and be there too. I just want to leave this all behind.

At the minute as if all just seems too much! In hindsight, I wish I had took some time off work till this passes
