Just hand everything over to Mr P when he gets home & get out ON YOUR OWN for an hour or two.

Run/walk/drink coffee in a cafe, but make sure you get some Pumble time.

Look how berluddy well you are coping........... proud of you.

(((xxx)))

Pumble · 28/11/2014 13:09

Am hoping for a run and Christmas shopping on Saturday-fingers crossed.

Another calm night which is good. She's so exhausted though and currently asleep on me. Enjoying the snuggles though. Smile

How are you? Selfishly I haven't asked!! Smile

The house is such a tip but no energy to tidy. Just want to watch a film with the pumblettes !

OP posts:
magimedi · 28/11/2014 15:14

Sod the house being a tip - will the pumblettes notice? As long as your kitchen & loos are not germ resorts the rest doesn't matter at all.

Just get enough rest & enough food.

I am off to the Mumsnet London meet up tomorrow!!!! Most excited.

DIL is doing well - not back at work but things are looking good!

Will report back on the meet up - 'eadache permitting!

Pumble · 29/11/2014 10:11

So I went for a run and am now in hospital waiting for an xray.... Feeling v sorry for myself Hmm

Glad all is going well with your DIL magi

WTF have you done, Pumble?

|Late to this as have been at the MN London meet up - great time had by all - hic!

Pumble · 30/11/2014 16:49

Thankfully not broken...silly uneven pavements! Thankfully they think it should heal fairly quickly....

Was the meet up good? How's the head?! Wink

OP posts:
magimedi · 30/11/2014 17:15

The meet up was totally fabulous. About 20 of us met near Victoria.

Such a lovely lot of women, so nice to put faces to names.

Felt a leetle delicate this am - but a nap (instead of a swim) this arvo & all is OK again!!

Does Mr P go off again tonight? Is your foot OK enough for solo Pumblette charge? How is P2?

So wish I lived nearer to you - I could come & give you a hand.

Pumble · 30/11/2014 22:54

Meet up sounds great fun magi. Glad you enjoyed it.

Yes mr P went off this afternoon, having watched p1 come first in her gym competition! She is so excited! I felt like such a bad mother....I had told her that she should be really pleased to get a sticker as some people would get medals but she would get an exciting sticker...turns out I should have had more faith in her!

Hobbling along and doing ok. Don't think the pumblettes and I will be doing much walking this week though!

rowrowrowtheboat · 01/12/2014 22:41

Pumble, it sounds like running has not served you well recently. I hope you have a speedy recovery.
Good luck for this week with the Pumbles with Mr P away. Are you getting into the Christmas spirit?

Magi, has Monday been worse than Sunday for recovery? It always seems to be the day after the night before which is worse for me, whether that is running or drinking!

magimedi · 03/12/2014 23:33

Monday was fine! I am very 'tuff'!!

Pumble How's the leg/foot?

Pumble · 05/12/2014 17:55

Ankle recovering much faster this time so hope to be runnjng again soon! No chance at the moment anyway as mr P announced he is off away for three days next week again.... I'm smiling and nodding....

Praying the pumblettes sleep well tonight as we are actually going out for supper and don't want to be called back early-fingers crossed! Smile

I am a horrible mother.

P1 is poorly and p2 decided that tonight was the time to shout between 2 and 3 am because she 'wanted to'.... Needless to say I didn't handle her waking up p1 well and shouted at her. I am currently feeling beyond dreadful. I know I shouldn't have shouted at her but you know when all seems lost at that time of the morning.... Just needed to write it down. I am now worrying my neighbours will be judging me and thinking what a horrid person I am too. I just feel so guilty.

magimedi · 07/12/2014 09:11

Pumble We've all shouted at out kids at one time or another.

It doesn't do them any lasting harm to realise that their mothers are human & have a breaking point.

I see you were posting in the wee small hours - everything seems vile then but I hope you all got back to sleep & feel a bit better this morning.

Have a Brew & some Cake & don't blame yourself.

I remember when DS was small & had been wailing on & off all night & DH & I were up & down going to see to him. The final time he cried DH went in & asked him what was wrong & DS said: "I'm tired"!!! DH certainly shouted at him & it is now a funny family story. It hasn't harmed DS one bit.

Pumble · 08/12/2014 10:31

You know when you just need time out?! Smile

OP posts:
rowrowrowtheboat · 08/12/2014 22:27

Did you get any time out Pumble? You've had a tough few weeks, and a busy run up to Christmas. How about a walk in the park tomorrow? Hats, gloves, scarves and some fresh air for all may sooth the souls. Keep prioritising what really needs to be done so that you are not over tired and you can be a team with the Pumblettes. Oh, and keep remembering your CBT course.

I haven't gone AWOL just yet but life so manic j had just been trying to keep my head above water!! Mr P was away again and P1 suffering from flu Hmm

Had a great but exhausting weekend at a Christmas market in France which was great and now can't wait until the end of term for P1. She's v unhappy at nursery and not sure what the answer is so just hoping to get through today and tomorrow for now!

You've done a while term of your course row-how's it been? how are your dd's? Good term? You all must be ready for the break too.

Pumble · 18/12/2014 23:26

I got time out!

Went into London and had a lovely time-just me. Mr P stayed at home and looked after the pumblettes and I had time out. It has been lovely Smile

rowrowrowtheboat · 19/12/2014 10:13

Glad to here you have such a lovely time in London. You've had a really busy time and lots of illnesses and injuries to contend with.

Why is P1 unhappy? Are you talking to the staff there? It is a tough term, getting to know the routines and people, and extra hubbub of Christmas, it can all take its toll.

College is good, met some good people on the course and the subjects are really interesting. I've got loads to type up over Christmas but it will get done. I really need to get my house backup to scratch for the onslaught of visitors, and for my satisfaction. Now, where so I start............

magimedi · 20/12/2014 23:02

Hallo!

Am sure you don't want to hear this, but am just back from 10 days in Gran Canaria - it was 'only' 23C & my sun tan needs some ADMIRATION!.

Sorry to hear that P1 is not happy in nursery - as row says, it's a tough time of year. Maybe keep an eye & if it is still not going well by mid Jan you might have to pull her out?

But YAY! for time out - very, very important & try to do it more often.

Bed time for me - got home about 7pm ce soir & have to face the supermarket tomorrow - UGH!!

row - just tidy up & put stuff away - no one will notice the dust.

rowrowrowtheboat · 21/12/2014 00:05

Welcome home Magi! Very jealous. Sounds like a lovely two weeks.

I agree time out is important, Pumble, use the Christmas break to have more me time, or some time with just Mr P.

We have entertained tonight and had a lovely time. The downstairs is perfectly respectable now, but upstairs is a total mess! The visitors don't venture in the rooms I've dumped everything in fortunately. At least it is a start. Off to bed after a lovely evening with friends.

When you pop to the shops Magi, can you pick me up some mince pies while you are there, I need some more Xmas Wink

magimedi · 21/12/2014 08:02

Puff or shortcrust, row?

Just about to have a quick shower, coffee & am going to be in Tescos as it opens. Then not going again for a week! What we don't have, we won't have!!

rowrowrowtheboat · 21/12/2014 08:41

Shortcrust please, I'll give you the money when I see you.

We have a delivery today and we are not planning to venture out again. We have a freezer full of home cooking we plan to devour in the run up to Christmas if we haven't got enough of something.

Off to make some bacon sandwiches now, the perfect cure for the morning after.
