Primal well done on the whoosh!.
Bear I find totm can throw everything out whilst in progress so don't be too harsh on yourself .
I've had early meetings/appointments every day this week which mean I have either missed breakfast or had only 100 cals. It's made me realise that until I get over this fall and can walk properly again, the later I start eating, the better.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 16/05/2018 07:41

Thanks everyone. I definitely* agree place*, I am going back to no breakfast today! Off out with Ds to shop for bigger DS’s birthday so that should keep me busy, although will have to stop for lunch at some point.

Then tonight I am baking PTA cookies so will need willpower by the bucketload!

Hola. I was on some old threads (probably under another name). Did amazingly well but I fell back into old habits due to stress and upheaval over the last year or so (the upheaval was for a good purpose and worth it though).
Everything is on a fairly even keel again and I need to get back to where I was.
Today's weight 10st2lb. Target weight 9st. I know I can do it and that that is a v healthy weight for me. Wish me luck!!

APlaceAtTheBSDTable · 16/05/2018 08:08

Happy shopping bear !
Welcome back Fake - it sounds like you're in a great place to start again.

Fakeplasticcheese · 16/05/2018 08:25

Thanks. I think I need to read the book again for a kick up the bum. But I am definitely ready otherwise.

Oblomov18 · 16/05/2018 09:10

Oh bear don't give yourself a hard time.

I too had a bad day yesterday. Very high blood sugars, was thus sick - yellow bile, and had to get into bed. Then I ate loads of carbs.

Oh well. Then this morning I woke up low, so started my day with lucozade. Hardly ideal.

bridgetreilly · 16/05/2018 11:37

So today was a momentous occasion for me. For the first time EVER, I went to the gym!!!!

And... it was okay. They were very nice, very helpful. I was clearly terrified and they were very reassuring. And I think I can do this.

On the BSD front, I started again properly on Monday after a couple of months of maintenance which ended with a four-day carb blowout. However, I have lost 8lb in the first two days!!! I think this was mostly water-retention rather than real weight, but I'll take it.

Heismyopendoor · 16/05/2018 11:56

hoping to join in, i have just been calorie counting but not having much luck. Think i've been having a bit many calories and carbs.

Going to start on Friday, was going to wait till Monday but don't see the point in waiting! :)

APlaceAtTheBSDTable · 16/05/2018 13:18

bridget well done on going to the gym! Now you've taken that first step, it will be much easier. Soon enough, you'll be like bear and putting us to shame with your workouts/exercise Wink

Welcome heismy Good luck for Friday. Remember to take your measurements before you start.

ponygirlcurtis · 16/05/2018 13:56

Good going on the gym bridget. That first visit is the scariest, you will be a regular in no time.

My meals today:

Lunch was feta and ham omelette with wilted spinach, toasted pine nuts and a spoon of salsa. Just over 300 calories.

Dinner is harissa chicken with cauliflower rice, courgette and creme fraiche. Just under 300 calories.

By the time I add a couple of snacks and a couple of cups of tea it will be around 850 I think.

That omelette looks lovely pony. I was out shopping in an out of town retail place (only place near us with a toy superstore) so my choices were either Greggs, frankie and Benny or McDonald’s. Chicken and bacon salad at Mc’s is under 400 calories, and d’you know, it was okay. For the price it was very good. Best option available under the circumstances.

Yes I've had that before and enjoyed it. But had chips too...

ChocEggNoThanks · 16/05/2018 19:49

Another 0.25lbs off this morning. I am 0.75lbs from the 1stone mark. This is historically a set point but would love to lose it by Fri morning!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 16/05/2018 20:13

Not a terrible day all things considered. McD’s lunch, dinner was a herby chicken steak and salad, and this evening I’m going to have a few strawberries in yogurt. 17k steps including a 5km run.

Working tomorrow so I’ll take a packed lunch which I’ve already made, although as I am exam invigilating I have quite a long break (over 2 hrs) so I am going to take my running stuff and maybe go for a quick run round a local lake before I eat my dinner.

Tonight I’ve made 100 golden syrup crown biscuits. My kitchen smells like Mary Berry lives here! Look away now if you have a nervous disposition. I’ll need to ice them and spray them with edible gold dust before Friday. Torture!!

Love the biscuits bear . I'm assuming the PTA is celebrating the Royal Wedding? On a completely different note, I'm so impressed at the way you're incorporating running into your routine. It's very inspiring!

I had smoked salmon salad for lunch then a variation on Joe Wicks' cottage pie for dinner; with two squares of dark chocolate as a treat. I have 61 calories left over.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 16/05/2018 20:42

Place we are doing our summer Fayre with a royal wedding theme this year. Basically the same carnage but with Union Jack bunting.....

OP posts:
APlaceAtTheBSDTable · 16/05/2018 21:27

Our school doesn't have a summer fayre. We get renditions of classics from musical theatre instead. I think I'd rather have bunting, biscuits and cakes Grin

ponygirlcurtis · 16/05/2018 22:38

They look immense, bear. And edible gold dust? Wow Star

I like the McDonald's salads. Subway do a good salad option too.

PhyllisWig · 16/05/2018 23:10

Evening all. Hope everyone had a good day and loving the biscuits.

I'm pootling along. Still no massive losses or anything. Still lots of tummy issues which are making me feel bloaty and uncomfortable. Quite wanted to get a couple of lbs off this week to take me well into my happy zone but looking unlikely although both waist and hips are smaller.

Oh and still no period. 10 days late now. Bored of waiting.

PrimalLass · 17/05/2018 00:15

Oh those biscuits look great. I can't bake at all.

chrispenrallt1 · 17/05/2018 05:56

Good morning everybody. Can I join your happy gang? On holiday at the moment 3 stone overweight last years summers clothes a no go zone, just feel fat and frumpy thank god there is a private pool here. I have ordered the books and when I get home on Sunday night they will be waiting for me ready for Monday morning start. As I have not got the books yet, can anyone give me any guidelines for my first shop which I will have to do Monday sometime as back to work in the morning and the desk will be piled high.
I have worked out that it’s 16 weeks until I’m on holiday again, I really want to get some of this weight off. I can’t run as I broke my ankle in January and have still got ligament damage, but I do walk, in fact I’ve walked next doors dog here every day since I got here and try for 10 k steps daily with my fit bit. It’s been inspiring reading about other people’s trials and tribulations so look forward to joining you on Monday.

Oblomov18 · 17/05/2018 06:23

For those that have scales (still haven't found mine)

Day 1 went well for me. But I'm a bit concerned today - I have my hobby this evening which is 90mins of on/off exercise plus I cycle there and back. Bit concerned I might get very hungry. Should I take a snack? If so, what??

veryveryquietly · 17/05/2018 08:12

Morning all. Much better day yesterday than I've had in a while. Ended up around 950 cals / 40 gr carbs, with precious little snacking. Need to get off this plateau, but accepting that work stress and such may make that impossible this week.

PhyllisWig · 17/05/2018 09:20

Fake how about nuts? Aldi do some packs of nuts for 29p which are about 150 cals and nicely portion controlled. A boiled egg or a babybel/one of those portions of cheese you can get for lunch boxes?
