We have one more swim next week and then that's it for a month. I'm sure we never used to have such long breaks.

I'm sat in cafe as Dani's doing training session and then he'll stay and watch his teammate in backstroke!

I've had an email today to say ds is moving up to national squad in September!

I knew as I was posting I'd eventually put who ds was. It's not easy with para swimmers to keep them secret once you know their classification and events 🤣🤣

She came 4th 0.03s! Yes - very outing - PM me and I'll tell you :)

General question, not that it will ever matter for my son, are 13 and 14 years old boys put together so no individual medals for the 13 year olds and the 14 year olds? Is this also the case at English Nationals?

I don't know if the age group is mixed for English Nationals but you are right that medals will be for 13/14 category, not split.

Boys and girls have varying age groups but double age groups are mixed medals rather than for sale rate age groups.

Girls start nationals at 12 in the 12/13 age group and boys start at 13 in 13/14 age group.

British start at 13 for both and again it's a double age group.

This year they've added a separate 17 and 18 age group for boys (have no idea what it was previously) but I don't think they did for girls. (I'm sure someone can confirm)

This was due to covid but it'll be interesting to see what they do next year.

They split the girls 17 & 18 this year too

Well ds is having a cracking meet so far!

First sub 60 LC 100m free and through to final this morning!

I don't but we are only there for the 100m para and then 100m boys final - if relays are after this you can have mine when I leave

Relays are last events so yes, would take your ticket.
