So, with BYMT auditions already underway and NYMT open for booking, it's surely time for a 2022 thread?? Who's in?

Submitted DD's NYMT actor self-tape and booked her audition today, eek! Need to also get her musician audition recorded this side of Christmas as we go on hols on 27th and she's back to school on 4/5th (PCR dependent 🙈)

BYMT have said that the results will be coming out slowly during march- I think as they are still working on logistics for some shows.

Haha! Every time I see someone has posted my stomach does a little lurch....

Do I NEED an email from Royal Mail telling me my lateral flow tests have been delivered, when the evidence will be on the mat when I get in?! I only want to hear from DS himself if he has news!! I assume he doesn't, since nobody seems to have heard anything yet. I just really hope it IS today!

I don't mind that WE haven't heard today - but I truly thought that SOMEBODY would start to today!

Getting so frustrated. I have to give an answer on a family holiday by tonight, no more extensions. And now I can't. I don't understand why they can't see this. It's even my birthday when the easter rehearsals would be on and I'd like to know if I have to drive to Sevenoaks or not, argh! Fed up :(

Ok I’ve cleaned out the fridge, and matched the 7,000 odd mismatched socks in the laundry basket! There is literally nothing left for me to distract myself with other than wine

do they sometimes send them out in the evening or is it purely a work hours kind of email - feel like we can stand down for the day?

Anyways, DD has A2 mocks this week so very busy revising. Some good news could maybe be a boost but bad news could definitely be the opposite… really hoping we’ll hear tomorrow!!

@dancingclassicist I totally agree, and I know I am quoting it with the wrong meaning really, but actually every day does just feel like a monotonous drag while we wait.
DS did his NYT audition today with a bit of Laertes for his monologue so I am in a Shakespearean mood. He was very lucky that they came to his (state) school, so no need for the loathsome self-tapes. He absolutely loved it so that has cheered us up a bit in the absence of any NYMT news.

@Biscuitsneeded ahh brilliant Im glad he enjoyed it. NYT also coming to DD school in April but she’s much more of a dancer/singer than actor so decided to focus purely on A Levels and NYMT audition. Best of luck to your DS though :)

DD literally had Hamlet mock today so I’ve been hearing all about Laertes… 😂

Hi all. My son is considering online audition for BYMT. Do you know how many kids they take for each of the shows?

Hi @Nopetynopenooe we have done an in person audition. We haven't dealt with them before so others may know more, I think they allocate about 30 to a show. But you don't find out what part etc till you get there and start working on it, which is quite a different way of working.

They tend to do a lot of shows though, in lots of locations - so because they have more shows, the chances of getting in are better.
