She lifted fairly heavy weights in the Fuel YouTube programme! Certainly no lighter than she’s done in all recent programmes.
its hot here in France but so far cooler nights than the last heatwave, although that is set to changer from Friday. The temperature in my bedroom is creeping up to 27 so sleeping not easy!
I workout at 6.30am then take my dogs out for 5 miles, it’s too hot to do a decent evening walk for them.
I’ve been doing sessions on repeat weekly, I know its boring, but I’ve noticed more muscle development and strength gains doing it that way!

Which sessions have you being doing? I was thinking of doing just that tbh - some found Byers from epic heat and that newish leg one of hers - the weights and agility session gives me awful some each time- ironically in different places. This time my upper gluts were so sore it hurt to walk and sit down- never had doms there before!

@BigButtons
This is the staple of I generally do, although I do sub the workouts from time to time as even I get bored!
Monday - upper body Intent Day 46
Tuesday - lower body Intent Day 20
Wednesday - back and biceps PE Day 36
Thursday - Quad PE Day 35
Friday - chest, shoulders, triceps - Play Day 47
Saturday - Glutes - Kettlebell series Day 1
Sunday - the 30 minute cardio workout on the App but I sub the staple for burpees.

@Fibrous As a fellow bunion sufferer, I've found that wearing my Hoka running shoes with immensely thick soles really helps when doing lunges, although the static lunges are still the worst. Rear step and Bulgarian are fine.
I wonder if that's why Caroline wears running shoes for leg days instead of flat lifting shoes. She has bunions too.

@AtomicBlondeRose thanks, I'll try that tomorrow instead of my normal quad workout. I wish she'd reduce the number of circuit workouts, it's just lazy programming to me!

Fibrous · 08/07/2026 17:52

@samthebordercollie thanks for the tip! I haven’t got any Hokas but they’ve been mentioned a few times by the older ladies in my Pilates class. They rave about them and I did mean to get a pair once we’d moved. I currently train in barefoot type trainers so yeah maybe that’s where I’m going wrong.

BigButtons · 08/07/2026 17:56

@samthebordercollie thanks for that- you do something 7 days a week?! I can do 5- more than that and I get burnt out. I like the idea of not having to get my barbell out for glute work though must be said.
i will try those out next week as a rotation and see if I like them. I have some favourites of my own. I try and do a leg day, glute day, chest, back and shoulders each week

Not sure about her not lifting heavy though - in today’s leg one there were static lunges with 2x20kg and 25kg deadlift squats. Plenty heavy IMO! Although it looked rainy outside so not sure when they were filmed.

Minesril · 09/07/2026 18:11

There’s a moderately dishy man on the CG FB group talking about his fitness journey. Rather than the usual repulsive vest sweaty post workout photo, he is wearing a suit! Why can’t they all do that?

whatwoulddexterdo · 09/07/2026 19:38

He’s a psychologist too but has already written more sense than the other one!

How is everyone getting on? So hot and horrible here and my sleep is awful. Have been doing ones that I fancy. At the weekend I revisited the wall sit challenge and was suitably challenged. Think I will try and do this once a week to build my stamina up again.
today I did Intent day 48 upper body- it was nasty and I loved it.
i did probably 3/4 of intent but gave up just because it absolutely exhausted me. I am still torn about renewing this September. Part of me is curious about the new fuel. I disliked iron on you tube but found the ap one ok. Maybe it will be different enough? I would certainly sub a lower body each week though . Or maybe just redo a series.

I'm trying to work my way through the almost-half of Iron Pro that I missed when it came out. I actually like it more now. It seems straightfoward and it doesn't take too much time.

TessTickle0 · 15/07/2026 14:28

Im doing max for the first time which i am enjoying.
Adding in beastmode cardio and her latest workouts too.
Some days im too hot and tired so cant be bothered, sitting outside drinking wine appeals more 😉

Abra1t · 15/07/2026 14:50

If it's really scorching, I cut back a lot. Sometimes I just do parts of a workout until it becomes unbearable.

samthebordercollie · 15/07/2026 15:39

We’ve just had another 4 days of red alert weather here in France and strangely I’m becoming more acclimatised! Although 35 is nowhere near as bad as 41C which it was last time. It’s still hot for working out at 6.30am, 22C this morning and even with just a back and biceps workout I was a ‘sweaty mess’ to quote Caroline’s community.
i thought her newsletter was very brief, another transformation story which I hate (I’m not sure the guy isn’t on gear judging by the size of his traps). All her new workouts (ands there are very few) seem to be circuits which is lazy programming. I wonder if she’s injured/overwhelmed or has just listened to interest?

whatwoulddexterdo · 15/07/2026 16:41

Hey gang
Im on day 39 of Max, am repeating it as I need the structure of a programme for the motivation . I’ve been getting up before work and doing a kettlebell workout first and tagging on a Max in the garden

im thoroughly bored with the app
The new workouts she’s posted are so short and uninspiring,
I don’t read the built by you articles, and there’s absolutely no way that guy got built from the CG app alone!

Just went on the FB group for a laugh
Am constantly amazed by the crap people post complete with pictures of their weekend activities !

Yeah - I get you!
I did a 20 complex shoulder today and that was brutal- like proper hard- maybe it’s the heat and subsequent poor sleep for nearly a month.
@samthebordercollie I hate circuits anyway and agree it is lazy.
that guy used to be on the fb group a lot- daily- he looks a bit odd must be said and was often injuring and exhausting himself with ridiculous back to back sessions and weights that were just stupid for the volume he was doing.
@whatwoulddexterdo I also hate fb days lol- seems I hate most of the style she loves- I didn’t mind max too much but in the end I could not be arsed getting the barbell out every day- such a faff when i work out in my living room.
i am bored with the app and mix it up with the you tube stuff.
i think the app has a limited shelf life as it stands. It is too much for one person to sustain- she needs more variety in exercises for sure- they are so many grips and variations she chooses not to use.

I did love Fuel on YouTube and would be excited about an app version, but I stopped the app and I’m not sure it’s worth renewing just for Fuel Two. I’m still doing HR 12 week 2.0. I love the format, usually 4-5 exercises done for 3 rounds and then onto the next circuit. Continuing to painstakingly calorie count, which is so tedious and boring but I’m down 3kg. Just 5 more to go to get into a ‘healthy’ bmi, which should be end August if I carry on at 800g per week. I want cake!! 😩

A woman posted pictures of herself on the fb group with a worryingly low body fat, but of course it was to congratulations and questions about her macros.

Why was it worryingly low? Can you screenshot and post the photo here?

I actually think it's been deleted as I don't see it now. There's another one from anout a day ago that's not great either though - the running one.

Melassa · 15/07/2026 18:32

Well I’ve been doing nothing, as 2 weeks post op plus it’s 35 degrees here. I’m actually desperate to get moving again. Apparently after 4 weeks I can lift more that 5kg, so might try something gentle with light weights. Other than that no physical exertion (whatever that actually means, I guess a raised heart rate?) until 8 weeks have passed. I’ve deflated completely, lost weight yes but muscle tone is rapidly withering away 😥

i’ve got used to exercising in the heat, seeing as where I live it’s inevitable every year. I do it in the mornings with at least one fan trained on me, or else later in the day with aircon, but mine needs upgrading as too weak for this heat, so the fan has been more effective. The Italians are horrified, as you’re not supposed to get air on you when you’re sweaty or you’ll come down with something terrible.

samthebordercollie · 15/07/2026 19:52

@SpaceRaccoonI was banned from the FB group for calling out one of the regular posters about a photo she posted with her sick child in her arms going on about how shredded her arms so I can’t see anything there!

samthebordercollie · 15/07/2026 19:54

@MelassaI hope you can get back to lifting soon and the op was a success! I lost 3 kg after my bunion removal too, but it was mostly muscle. It soon comes back, don’t worry. I use a fan here, no air con. Even in the winter!

I don't think they allow any comment that even hints at negativity, it's ridiculous.
Also... who does that??

samthebordercollie · 15/07/2026 20:01

@SpaceRaccoonKara or Kala G I’ve forgotten but she regularly posts photos of herself there
