The usual suspects who comment on the freshly released workout at 12am before it's even possible to have completed it... do they stay up late to mark their territory?

Like peeing dogs😂

Humblebrags from Facebook for poor banned Sam's edification.

I love the way they are forever being accosted by admiring strangers in this group.

The one imploring us not to judge her slow slow time because she stopped and played with a dog and didn't pause the timer, she was still running <10min miles by the way- 9.11m in just under 1hr30.😆

ugh, I mean this must be the Sates. No one in the uk would say stuff like that to anyone, or indeed give a shite if someone else has muscles

I “bounced back” quickly after my DC and it was pure dumb luck! I never worked out in those days. It’s not really an achievement though, just a good hand dealt to me by the genetic dealer.

Is it just me who’s never breathless, a sweaty mess, dying with dead limbs etc after a workout? I mean, I sweat, sure, as my nearest and dearest can attest to, and I feel like I’ve worked, but not like I’m going to die (except for some Epic and HIIT workouts which is precisely why I don’t do them). But even lifting heavy these Iron workouts aren’t crippling. Just a nice amount of challenge. I mean that’s the whole POINT.

Gobacktotheworld · 12/09/2025 17:35

Agreed, Atomic. These workouts aren't cardiovascular at all and all that hyperbole (omg i was soooo dyyyyying, sweaty mess, sweaty heap on the mat, breathless, body fluids everywhere) doesn't really do much credit to those posting it. She DID use to make workouts that had you gargling your heart and I do incorporate them sometimes when feeling spectacularly masochistic. These current app workouts are not remotely like that and have not been for a long time, which makes me think the oh so breathless reviewers aren't even doing the damn things.

BigButtons · 12/09/2025 17:52

Yeah- I hate those comments- sure sometimes I sweat. (Unlike like prince Andrew.), but these app ones are not in the same sweaty league as the epics with their emoms. I don’t t ever feel like I am dying or cannot climb the stairs etc . Mind you I had such crippling doms after one quad session last Xmas that I really could not stand up or sit down without assistance for days. That is rare though and comes when I increase my lunge weight.
They are all just attention seeking drama lamas. Tbh if they are finding it that hard then maybe they need something easier.
I don’t want to half kill myself every session because then I would dread the sessions.
i did unleash full body day 29 today- didn’t do it first time round as I gave up on the series. I have been slowly filling in the gaps. I am not a fan of circuits as a whole though. I prefer to do a move - even 4 sets of it and then be done with it.
btw bloody love you lot. Not just cos you are funny but because I don’t have to go near that bloody fb group- apart from to bitch back on here.

God they are insufferable 😂

Fibrous · 12/09/2025 21:47

@samthebordercollie not looked into surgery because a) it sounds really painful and debilitating and b) I’m trying to persuade work to give us health insurance and I want as few things on my long gp record as possible. I’ve had them since I was about 18, I’m not sure they’re any worse now than then but I’ve always lived in trainers as much as possible. I keep thinking I should see a foot specialist at some point. Was surgery horrific? I think I’m a wimp these days.

Fibrous · 12/09/2025 21:49

I’m hoping all the yoga helps!

I’ve been let in to the Facebook group and yeah it’s as bad as you describe. They must all be American. No European would be so dramatic!

Gobacktotheworld · 14/09/2025 07:07

Did the 60min Full body split day 1 from the app for the umpteenth time, excellent workout, as I really felt like some proper RDL and I have more time on Sundays! Just switched around the pullover and shoulder press sets (so it was a hip thrust / shoulder press combo, then squats / pullover) as I can just do shoulders while sitting with the barbell in hip thrust position and not have to get up.

I initially tried the first couple of minutes of day 5 of IronPro before switching to something with less waiting around. 30 sec between sets of back rows suffices for me as unlike lunges they are truly unilateral. Checked the app comments to see how it struck others and it's pretty much all waffle about their lives from people who haven't done the workout, bless their inane socks.

BigButtons · 14/09/2025 08:06

@Gobacktotheworld I will do day 5- but yeah you don’t need 60 seconds between rows. I am not going to go above 17.5kg anyway as although I could lift heavier my form will go to shit.

Someone on the Over 50's group on FB has dared to say they don't like CG's trackie bottoms!! Not sure how their post got approved. They are in for a roasting that's for sure.

Anyone on here know what a "doozy" is? Apparently a lot of CG's workouts are one.

I'm very behind with Iron Pro. Have only done Days 1 & 2 but I have enjoyed them.

BigButtons · 14/09/2025 14:57

@Anjelika I mean what on earth has her clothing got to do with anything.🤷🏻‍♀️
I noted to myself that the new shoes she is wearing are fugly . I am surprised that haven’t been loads of posts asking what they are.
I don’t think iron pro is all that popular- probably because it excludes of people who for whatever reason haven’t got heavy enough weights.
I will do day 5 a bit later on but will speed up the rest for the rows.

OP posts:
Gobacktotheworld · 14/09/2025 15:06

Of course the way they expressed it was, "I'm bothered by her pants! They're horrible!"

I was wheezing.

samthebordercollie · 14/09/2025 15:07

Just saw that the comments on the App are being moderated too. An Anon user had complained about all the comments being made before the people had actually done the workout and how frustrating it was when you actually wanted to see a review. I replied that they just need to sort the comments by 'newest' and they would find comments from people who'd actually done the workouts, both comments have been removed. But Mr Kearney clearly didn't like my reply and his comment about being kind hasn't been deleted. Idiot.

Gobacktotheworld · 14/09/2025 15:32

Christ, he has incredibly thin skin, doesn't he? I hope they add the ability to block users on the app because it's annoying seeing his verbal diarrhoea flash up when I click on a workout.

Yeah, BB, it would be nice to read some proper reviews of it from fans. My quibbles with the IronPro workout I did are more production problems - the fact that you don't get told what the next exercise is till halfway through the rest period being the big one. She's often got on-screen form tips flashing up and is herself halfway through setting up for the next exercise before we learn what it is (as pictured- it's like "guess the exercise"). That said, there are so few exercises per workout I can always just jot them down on paper beforehand if I do another IronPro one.

My thinking is that a doozy is hard.
I have to agree.I don't much like her joggers, and would never wear a pair of jogging pants to workout in-but that is because I have a lot of gym wear and despite no one seeing me, I still like to wear it(I draw the line at trying to match Caroline's workout outfits though)

I feel like a bit of an imposter on this thread at the moment due to me doing HR workouts now-I am working my way through one of her 12 week programes.
I am enjoying them, she typically uses lighter weights but adds in more cardio and I am actually doing moves I have not seen or done before!
However today I did day one of Iron Pro that CG released onto YT.
I did enjoy it,despite the long pauses, though I can see that getting a bit boring..I managed to increase my weights quite a bit and matched Caroline on some so felt pretty fucking great :)
My OH came through into the Gym and said that Caroline looked like she was gonna hit someone, and she did look pretty fierce I thought-maybe the clothing and the moody colours????

BigButtons · 14/09/2025 16:41

Being able to block posters on the app would be ace. I would straight away block him and his silly wife . I would also block the bloke who goes on about his walks constantly
day 5 was ok- I did manage one round with 20kg for the rows and sped up the rest time because it really was not necessary - other than that I used the same weights as her . Sort of did the abs but they bore me and always hurt my back. I don’t see the point in them . I am constantly bracing during the sessions anyway.🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
Gobacktotheworld · 14/09/2025 17:02

I hate her dreary lower abs giant sets with no real rest and do other ab stuff- usually another trainer tbh, but even her old stuff was better with plank ladders, Russian twists andwhat have you.

Tess please do share any really good Heather ones you do. I love her stuff- especially, as you say, the variety in moves, and find it inspiring

BeethovenNinth · 14/09/2025 21:48

I love HR. Have done her stuff a lot. I’m basically a workout tart.

I did Fuel day 30 today - I have a dodgy tummy so didn’t push the weights. It’s ages and fast paced so I didn’t get bored.

Clearingaspace · 15/09/2025 18:55

hi I have finally finished iron! I tried day 1 iron this afternoon. It sounded a nightmare but actually was pretty good. I was lifting much much lighter than CG though. I used the breaks to log my exercise weights and reps on a free rep counter app. Trying to decide if I should sign up to the app for a bit and do iron pro- I think possibly I should, as the hiit style YouTube stuff might be a bit too soon for me.

BigButtons · 15/09/2025 19:22

iron pro day 6 today. All the lunges were very boring, but I got them done. I used 65kg on the barbel for thrusts. Now my arse proper hurts.

DuesToTheDirt · 15/09/2025 19:35

I've started doing some of her workouts. Is she 90% muscle or something? She is tiny and lifts such heavy weights. Confused
