It was Rev day 24 for me today, and instead of the stability ball rollouts, I did hamstring curls with a dumbbell. Thanks for the tip @Gobacktotheworld. I felt isolation in my hamstrings much better than with the ball or any of the alternatives.

I dislocated my shoulder earlier in the year and I noticed a massive difference once I started taking omega 3! Also had a sore big toe joint and left knee that never niggles me anymore. Wish I’d started taking it years ago. I’m sure Caroline’s workouts also helped by strengthening the muscles around the joints.

@BigButtons it makes them harder in fact, because you have a greater range of motion. I just use them for regular push ups not triceps/cobra etc.

I was thinking about this today, as she talked about them at the start of Rev day 25, saying that they are economical and a good investment. They are supposed to be easier on the wrists, but I don't enjoy doing pushups on dumbbells, so I'm wondering if it would be a similar feeling on pushup bars. My wrist feels ok doing them the regular way, but I appreciate you will get a better range of movement with bars.

The push up bars I have are way more comfortable than using dumbells. But I wouldn’t say they’re a must have by any means. I go more slowly with them and get greater depth but can do 20 normal push ups vs 15 with push up bars so overall no difference

oh @Gobacktotheworld - put the scales away. You are a super strong amazing woman.
i refuse to weigh myself.
i often wondered how accurate my hex dumbbells are. Then I realise it doesn’t really matter because it is about being strong into our older years and a few 100g matters not one jot. I will happily live with the fantasy that I am lifting what the dumbbell says I am.

I'm on the last week of Rev now, so I'm wondering what to do next. This is what I've done so far, in order: Iron (YouTube), Fuel, Epic Heat, Epic 3, Max and Rev.

My favourite was probably Fuel or Epic Heat. Least favourite was Max as I got so bored. I'm thinking of doing Iron from the app next (not the new Pro one), and adding in a Heather Robertson hiit once a week for some variety. The main reason I am thinking of doing Iron is because of the length of the workouts, which are a bit more manageable when working full-time.

I'm also intrigued to see what Heather Robertson's new app is going to be like. I like her workouts, but I'm not keen on the fact that her 12-week programmes consist of pre-recorded exercises spliced together to make the workouts. I find it much more motivating to have the instructor doing the workout at the same time and stopping to have a rest or dropping the weights etc.

@itscoolforcats I really enjoyed epic endgame on YouTube,it's a short programe but varied.
I found it a good mix of weights and a bit of cardio(which I hate but kinda like if mixed within a workout,so I'm not expecting it haha)
I'm doing HR workouts but didnt know that about her programs,only done glow up and fierce so far though( a week and 2week series)

@TessTickle0 Apart from 3.0, her 12-week programmes are filmed this way. That's why she is always wearing the same outfit 😄 It doesn't seem to bother lots of people, but I'm not keen. I find it reassuring when I'm suffering and I look up and I can see the instructor is having a little rest too 😄 Her shorter series are filmed in the normal way though. And I do really like her workouts, especially hiit, metcon and kettlebell. And she has some really good full body sessions.

I do like the sound of Epic Endgame. I might do Iron and then cancel the app for a bit and go back to YouTube.

Iron pro day 11 leg day. Really liked this- good basics moves and lifted heavier than cg for the last set of lunges as I couldn’t be othered to change my adjustables.
The 23kg are still my max for lunges for now
This is going in to my love folder .
dug out my 10kg weighted vest for the high squats and if is much kinder on my lower back as I can use lighter dumbbells .
i have ever done any HR.

Also weighed myself, which was a mistake, and makes me want to do some of her calisthenics stuff so I can boast on her toxic Facebook group about lifting 5x what Caroline does.
