Hi. Can anybody give a recommendation for exercise leggings? Or are sweaty Betty still worth the investment? Many thanks in advance 😊

Everything I have bought from here has been brilliant

I prefer lululemon to SB. Mine have lasted forever and I wore them in pregnancy, snapped right back down afterwards without being permanently stretched.

CRZ Yoga are great.

I've had about 3 pairs of SB leggings and they all became bobbled after a few washes. Took them back to the store and they said it must be the way I washed them. Has never happened to anything else I've ever owned!

I love M&S fitness gear.
Great fit, great selection and good prices!

I agree with this. I’ve got some terrific leggings from M&S, so comfortable, lovely patterns and still look like the day I bought them.

H&M Move range are excellent - indestructible and a very good price!

H and m activewear .

Another vote for CRZ Yoga. I'm a recent convert to their Butterluxe leggings, after looking up Lululemon dupes on Reddit. They're so soft and stretchy, the perfect balance of comfy and compression, not too shiny, and the ideal length for my short-legs-long-torso situation (5' 5", 29" inside leg).

I realise I sound like I work for them but I promise I'm just a fan 😅

The Butterluxe are light and stretchy but there are a few versions with different levels of compression, depending on your workouts and preferences. They are available on Amazon but, if you're willing to wait a week for shipping, they have a direct website with more choice and discount codes.

Another for Lululemon. I had one pair of SB power leggings and they bobbled horribly. Whereas my Lulu’s have lasted years and still in great shape despite many Pilates classes and run miles.

Fabletics are good. I couldn't get away with GymShark, sizing was off.

But, I swear by,,,,,,,sainsburys, the larger stores have a good selection - if you are wanting to do it on budget. The thicker material leggings are brilliant, not a lump or bump in site, very supportive

Www.latched.co.uk they have maternity and non maternity versions….just amazing

I used to be a huge Sweaty Betty fan but in recent years the quality has gone drastically downhill at the same time as the price increased. I have some old ones which are indestructible but I wouldn’t buy any more now.

Does anyone know, are Gymshark good for running?

GloryDias · 31/12/2024 13:03

Have a look at Sturdy By Design - amazing squat proof leggings!

Confusedandscare · 31/12/2024 13:38

Crz yoga leggings on Amazon are fantastic. Every bit as good as sb and a fraction of the cost. Cannot recommend enough. I used to spend a fortune on sb, never again

I have the Gymshark running leggings and they are very good, slightly thicker than the SB Zero Gravity, but as good (as the ZG used to be!).

It was actually my third relatively new pair of ZGs ripping that made me change to Gymshark.

ilovesooty · 31/12/2024 14:01

Llama leggings. I won't wear anything else.

Thanks, that’s really helpful. I’ve been an SB ZG faithful for years but they’re just not what they used to be. I’ll take a look at the Gymshark.

watchingsmurfs · 31/12/2024 14:10

I’m so disappointed with my SB leggings. They go baggy and slide down.

Marszu7 · 31/12/2024 14:41

CRZ yoga or Adanola

NewYearAndNotOnADiet · 31/12/2024 14:58

I’ve tried lots and SW are the best IMO.
Lately I’ve bought them off Vinted, with tags on, new for about 50% of cost.

They have a massive sale on now.

Yes! Exact same experience. SB didn’t age well so have swapped them out for CRZ Yoga from Amazon. I have the fleece lined ones for loungewear too

handsdownthebest · 31/12/2024 16:15

Prefer lululemon and gymshark. Both have great stores on Regents Street if you’re in London.

Bigcheeserolling · 31/12/2024 16:20

SB knock loads off around Black Friday, usually for a few weeks running up to it. Obviously that’s just once a year but something to watch for it they are the preferred brand.

My DN15 had Gymshark all over her Christmas list but that was probably very much influencer influenced!

Mulledjuice · 31/12/2024 16:30

Any of these have a phone pocket and NO draw cord at the waist?

LittleBigHead · 31/12/2024 16:38

I have Women's Best high waisted leggings. I'm a largeish 12, but wear a S in these. I like the compression. But wondering about Gymshark - do they do good compression in leggings?

Also - I'm too old to wear a sports bra and reveal my white slightly plump midriff -but I don't like tops going down to my hips. I'm always on the look out for vest tops that don't need a bra underneath (ie with a shelf bra inside) that stop at the waist.

Any recommendations? I'm a pretty flat chested powerlifter who does metcon/Hyrox style cardio training, but not a runner, so I need medium but not rock-solid support.

Llama leggings do.
