I don't think the differences are that viable (apart from my arms) :(

Was posting on some fitness group on Facebook and I came to the conclusion that the differences are kind of there but most certainly not obvious ;(

You'd need to go on a kind of photo shoot diet to get leaner. In normal life that's not really viable is it? You look great. Don't you have a cheat meal or cheat day every week and aren't you carbing up periodically before your longer marathon training runs? Lots of chances to enjoy more food and a few drinks and still stay in great shape that way.

But do watch it - you just posted a photo of a six pack and yet said at the same time you were unhappy. That's not a good road to continue down.

PleaseMind · 02/08/2022 17:11

How thin do you want to be before you're happy.

MassiveSalad22 · 02/08/2022 17:12

Honestly OP, from all these threads you’re not sounding very healthy 💐

DrDetriment · 02/08/2022 17:15

It seems like you need constant validation from the online 'you look amazing hun' crowd, which is really unhealthy. Stop taking so many selfies and have a chat with someone in real life.

AuntieMarys · 02/08/2022 17:17

Oh ffs.

NiceTwin · 02/08/2022 17:20

What is sticking out of your belly button on the last pic 🤔?

Onlyrainbows · 02/08/2022 17:21

At that stage I was fairly happy with my body and I would say even a few extra kilos on top I was happy too :) but that was ALL running which I can't and that does make me sad. Running gives you attainable goals (you can always run for.longer or faster). And I do have cheat days... But my mon-fri have drastically changed and I don't see such a drastic change (there is some I have to admit) but it doesn't seem in proportion with all the ice cream and beer I've stopped having!

Whataretheodds · 02/08/2022 17:22

Of course there's a difference. You're clearly sucking in/working the angles on the first one.

Do you feel any different?
How long have you been working out for?

MolkosTeenageAngst · 02/08/2022 17:25

I don’t see much difference between any of the photos, but I also think you look great in all of them so I don’t know what you’re worrying about. If you’re able to look like any of those photos whilst also eating, drinking and exercising at an amount you enjoy (and not restricting food or exercising when you don’t want to be) then that’s good! But I agree that if you’re having to do wildly different eating/ exercise plans to essentially look the same in all 3 photos you may as well just follow the most enjoyable eating/ exercise plan!

PleaseMind · 02/08/2022 17:25

How do you feel though do you feel healthy?

Eto · 02/08/2022 17:32

OP, in the nicest possible way, step away from your phone camera and asking strangers on the internet to assess your body. It sounds to me as if you’d benefit from therapy about what sounds like anxiety or body dysmorphia.

Vainandjustrealised · 02/08/2022 17:41

Your fine as you are
Its all relative

I was just thinking this. The OP reminds me of another poster whose name I've forgotten, but she too was obsessed with posting photos of her body and going on about weight loss etc. I haven't seen her posting for months but often wonder what became of her.

I think the kindest thing anyone can do for this OP, is to ignore all these threads and photos. They can't be helping her.

I think it's more my beer/wine that I miss and that it seems to have not a massive effect on my physique. I don't begrudge the exercise, several doctors have told me it obvious that it keeps me healthy.

Do not go back to beer. It swells tummies. Wine is better. If you clean your windows more often and sort that untidy hedge out behind you, that might tone different muscles.

exnewwifeproblems · 02/08/2022 17:58

Honestly. You look fine. You're fine.

If only I had your physique 😜

Onlyrainbows · 02/08/2022 18:45

Well the first one is the "before" (all are similar poses though, so that's how I know that yeah I'm not as "flabby").

How do I feel? Well hard to tell I do miss the freedom of grabbing a beer (or a gin/wine) and having ice-cream/ cake.

The jeans I'm wearing are definitely WAY MORE comfortable than last time I wore them (I think I had to take them off).

Physically it's an odd one as I have iron deficiency so I'm always tired. I think my face looks slimmer too. Considering the overhaul I had to do to my beer/wine consumption, I would have genuinely thought there would be more noticeable difference.

OP posts:
exnewwifeproblems · 02/08/2022 18:51

What does it matter? Why is it so important to you to be - what? Slimmer?

Onlyrainbows · 02/08/2022 18:56

Because I prefer how I look when I'm thinner. I've only managed to be 60kg with running. I can't run and it's beyond frustrating, so I just to fine some "inner peace".

OP posts:
exnewwifeproblems · 02/08/2022 19:01

Honestly and kindly. Do you have an ED or some kind of body dysmorphia? Because you look great.

Softplayhooray · 02/08/2022 19:02

Can you do cycling or elliptical at the gym or some other low impact? Maybe you're.missinf the positive feeling running gives you.

How long have you been doing all this btw?

EncantoAGAIN · 02/08/2022 19:03

You look toned. 😊

I don't think it will bring you inner peace tbh.

Onlyrainbows · 02/08/2022 19:13

I had an elliptical at home (that broke) and it was OK but I seem to burn the same amount of calories via dancing (and it boost my mood which is a bonus)

OP posts:
Onlyrainbows · 02/08/2022 20:09

No I don't have body dysmorphia. I've just been different sizes throughout my life and I prefer being smaller. Like I've mentioned, running is a lot better for short term motivation, home workouts IMO are slower and as I can see from the photos, creating (or increasing) a calorie deficit hasn't made a massive difference.

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 02/08/2022 21:09

Weights will make you look bigger though won't they?
