Has anyone tried Sharny & Julius?

I keep seeing their adverts on Facebook. I have diastasis recti and an umbilical hernia. Had physio a few years ago which helped a lot but I've lost a lot of core muscle strength since then. Considering this but wondered if anyone had tried it and what your thoughts are?

I am interested in what they provide for pelvic floor / core as well please if anyone has watched it.

Cauterize · 01/07/2020 18:18

I'll log back in and watch the exercise videos to see if they're any good.

Just watching a couple of the vids yesterday reminded me of the fact that I couldn't warm to her either. She's quite irritating I'm sorry to say Grin

earlydoors42 · 02/07/2020 15:56

I am not optimistic that this is something I should buy!

MushroomTree · 02/07/2020 16:12

@earlydoors42 I'm doubtful about it too now!

Charme · 09/08/2020 02:58

I have the program. It is heaps more than 10 minutes. The internal exercises may be 10 minutes (Just) but if you add the general exercises It is way more. I don’t even know how long it would be, because 60 squats is still out of my reach. And I think there’s another 5 exercises more at 60 reps. People definitely get good results if they stick to it. I’m not one of those people. It was the 10 minutes a day that got me in.

I've just bought the Strong Core and Pelvic Floor one. You get a log in to an app and website, where you view lots of videos. Beware, though...it's already said it is necessary to buy a Jade Egg/Kegal balls or similar. Yet to view any more. Will report back

Sperk · 12/10/2020 17:49

I should add that I purchased MUTU after my first child (she's 4 now) and found it so DULL that I never got more than 3 days into it!

Sperk · 13/10/2020 13:03

So here I am again. I recommend the programme. I haven't even started the exercises yet but the prep videos, and the Facebook group, are fun and motivating and informative. I watched them all with my husband and he wasn't bored like we both were with MUTU. If you're hovering, just do it! The recommended purchases are actually just suggestions and Sharny gives as many different alternatives as possible, to make it affordable and accessible. If you're prudish, go with MUTU! Otherwise, this is definitely fun and motivational 😊💜

Sperk · 13/10/2020 21:32

The videos are addictive because Sharny is realistic and likeable. I am still working my way through them all before I start the exercises but I rate it way more than MUTU for entertainment alone! 😊

Sperk · 14/10/2020 17:09

I would recommend to anyone! I have now watched all of videos on the app (over 50!) and looked at the pdfs. I've emailed a question to the support team and they emailed straight back with the perfect answer. The private Facebook group is lovely and has loads of extra stuff (live feeds etc). Honestly the only thing holding anyone back from succeeding on this is themselves. It's a really supportive and fun programme 💜

Sperk · 17/10/2020 21:02

The Strong Core Pelvic Floor programme is definitely exercises you can do in 5/10/15 minutes. The Fit Healthy Happy Mum programme is not the same. It's much more of a time commitment, except they are all activities that you can spread through the day. If you did it all in one hit, yes, it would take significantly longer. But,if you do it in manageable chunks, it's just short exercises. The longer exercises come in the form of walking, running etc (30 mins). The food plan is essentially green veg and eggs, chicken or salmon. So it's HARD to stick to. BUT. There's no magic button that gets rid of body fat. No magic button to get fit. Be realistic. Take responsibility. And don't be nasty about women who do it and achieve it. Some of the comments on here just sound bitter. Noone can make a change but you

CJDruce · 19/10/2020 08:31

When you say “Prudish” what do you mean? My 8 & 6 year olds generally watch any workout videos I do when I’m doing them unless I wait until night after they’re in bed. Will I need to do it when they won’t be watching?

Sperk · 19/10/2020 10:08

The Strong Core and Pelvic Floor talks a lot about vaginas, which shouldn't be an issue with children. It does mention dildo/floppy dick and penis, with regards to squeezing exercises. She has young children herself, so she describes how she explains things to her children. It really depends on your general family discourse. I don't have a problem with my 4 year old hearing and asking questions

Baby6ontheway · 21/10/2020 21:12

Absolute WASTE of MONEY!! It is nothing like what the adds sound like. Basically, it is almost nothing at all! The videos are EXTREMELY SHORT, telling you to do 20-reps is easy exersises, or “just dance around you house”, or go on a 3 mile run. Plus the “nourish diet plan” just tells you to mix a bunch a veggies together with spices of choice, and maybe a tiny bit of protein. The “recipes” don’t ever give measures on most of them. I can not believe how terrible it is. They WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY, once you realized you payed for nothing more than a false advertisement!!!

You would be much better off buying a diet cookbook, and downloading a free rep plan online. DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY!! Learn from my mistake!!

Baby6ontheway · 21/10/2020 21:23

“Sperk” ^^ is definitely a fake poster!! The info in untrue AND THE LANGUAGE PATTERN IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS SHARNY! lol “lovely” “loads of extra”. LOL, like it is printing out a script from the adds.

Plus I forgot to mention, EVERY plan is $47 extra. So if she/he is doing a the complete library, they have spent around $400, not likely. I hope I am wrong, but that person’s response is just as vague as the misleading adds.

This is NOT a video guided program. Find a free rep routine online!

I DO NOT BUY!

Sperk · 21/10/2020 22:09

I'm not a fake poster 😂 And I probably have picked up Sharny's language because she is so infectiously enthusiastic and encouraging. And I'm actually engaging with the programme, rather than going on some bitter, shouty rant about it! 🤷‍♀️ This is a fully guided programme but you have to be willing to take responsibility and accountability for carrying it out. If you're not ready to actually DO something to change your lifeatyle, if you're looking for a magic pill, good luck. The workouts intensify as you progress through the weeks (new content is released weekly). It's designed so that EVERYONE can do some level of the exercises and progress.

LittleDoritt · 21/10/2020 22:20

I was pretty disappointed with it and haven't really engaged like I thought I would. Anyone wanting to follow a strict diet, I would recommend you do Whole 30 for free instead.

Sperk · 21/10/2020 23:21

@Baby6ontheway still, you're the expert. I look forward to you releasing a lifetime programme, with regular input from the whole team, which you deem worthy of £37 😁🤦‍♀️

Wow. I don't know what you lot are after. But I doubt you'll ever find it. The programmes are the cost of one month at a gym for god's sake and you get a lot for it

That sounds promising! Let us know how you go on as you move through the workouts?

DCSALES · 19/11/2020 13:11

Okay so I bought this 2 years ago but wasnt ready to start it....I paid approx £35 and 2 years later Im ready to start and its cost me no more money....how many diets and exercise programs can say in 2 years they have cost £35?....The plan is not a diet its based on an 8 week detox to improve weight, homones and mentality which you can do once or 100 times depending on your goal... the exercises are 15 mins at home with no fancy gym equipment needed. In my opinion when i can get my butt in gear it'll be fabulous but you need to be in a place of determination - its certainly not easy but there are plenty of women on it who have done amazingly well - ive done so many fad diets and never kept it up and the meals always cost a fortune...this costs me no more that £35 no matter how long i do it.

Sperk · 19/11/2020 15:33

Exactly! I've done 7 days of the nutrition plan alone and have lost 13lbs and a total of 17cms from my body!
