I'm 5ft3" and currently weigh 10st 9lb
Down from 10st 13lb in about 5 weeks. My weight has always been up and down.
Reality finally hit me when my dp told me I'm putting on weight an my ds told me I have a big belly! Shock

I don't drink or eat take away food - maybe once a month if that tbh. I'm trying to eat healthier just can't resist chocolate!
I also do aerobics anywhere in between 35mins - 1 hour 30mins depending on how long dd naos for in afternoon. Also try to do some cardio for half hour or if feeling particularly less energetic 1 mile walk (20mins) every other morning

I won't talk weight but I've a BMI of 20.5. different strokes for different folks but two things two consider:
You may be eating more calories than you realize. My Fitness Pal app is a bit of a slog to use but helps you to better understand what you're eating.
Instead of cardio, try building more muscle. When you've higher muscle mass you burn more calories. I lose more weight when I hit the weights rather than the treadmill.

Everyone is so different though!

Raydan · 09/11/2018 08:57

If you're sure if your calories and still aren't losing weight, get your thyroid checked too.

EKmum15 · 09/11/2018 09:00

I’m 5ft7” and I weigh 10st3. Before my son I was 9st9 and went up to 15st6 just before I gave birth. I covered my kitchen in photos of a slimmer me and then ate a lot less and did more exercise.

BrazzleDazzleDay · 09/11/2018 09:08

I'm 5'5, 7 st 10 at the moment. No point comparing yourself to others though, we're all so different i.e I probably do eat too much chocolate and drink too much sugary juice and not properly exercise enough but I've never weighed more than 8 1/2 st outwith pregnancy.

PipGoesPop · 09/11/2018 09:09

How ling did it take you to lose the weight EK? Even allowing for the weight of your baby/placenta and fluid that's a lot to lose. Was it hard, honestly?

nuttyknitter · 09/11/2018 09:20

I'm 5'4" and weigh 9st 2lb. On my 50th birthday I weighed 12st 8lb and decided something had to change, but I've managed to stay at my current weight for 14 years now. My motivation was Weight Watchers online. I'm not one for meetings but I love the app and find it really easy to track my food consumption and make healthier choices. You can also add in any exercise you do too. It's become a way of life now.

stegosauruslady · 09/11/2018 09:22

Pre pregnancy I weighed 10stone (31 weeks pregnant now) and I'm 5'3.

Top end of a healthy Bmi seems to be where I am happiest and look best. I was also super fit and doing regular 15 mile runs to allow me to actually eat things, as otherwise, being short-ish, I find it really difficult to maintain a healthy weight.

EKmum15 · 09/11/2018 10:27

PipGoesPop, I lost 3 stone I’m the first year, so I think that was just water weight really. Then I kind of gave up for a year. My son is 3 now. This year, I got so fed up with myself and not fitting into any of my clothes. I reduced what I was eating drastically for the first week, that seemed to shrink my stomach and then just ate when I was hungry, drank more water etc. I started exercising slight more also. I don’t think I’ll ever be 9st10 again. But I’m happy with how I look now. I just wish I could get rid of my mum tum!

EKmum15 · 09/11/2018 10:28

It was very hard but once I sure results I wanted to continue.

MrsCar · 09/11/2018 10:32

I'm 5ft 3 and weighed myself for the first time in ages this morning.

9stone 2pounds

magpie24 · 09/11/2018 10:35

I'm going to post my pre-pregnancy weight as I'm currently 40 weeks pregnant. 5'8 and 9st 10 (current pregnancy weight 12st 4 😥)

Egg · 09/11/2018 10:37

5ft 3 and 7 stone 12. I do quite a lot of exercise but also eat a vast amount and drink too much alcohol. Don’t drink soft drinks though except water, tea and coffee. I’ve been around this weight for quite a few years although do go between 7 stone 7 and 8 stone.

ileclerc · 09/11/2018 10:41

80kg, 5ft8. I train hard and am very solid / muscly even though a size 14. Overweight according to BMI.

effiehabb · 09/11/2018 10:54

I'm 6ft and weight 10st, I was nearly 13 stone 7 years ago, I lost it by being more active and snacking less. I don't snack anymore but usually have a glass of wine most evenings. It took a few weeks to start losing but then literally fell off. Went down to 9st7 which looked ridiculous, am happy where I am, slimish but not skinny. Losing weight was the the best thing I ever did for myself.

auberbene · 09/11/2018 11:07

5'2 and hover around the 8st mark since having DD 5 months ago.

That makes my BMI 20.3. I'd preferably like to be half a stone lighter.

It's all about fat distribution though. I've been this weight before and have been a size 8 pre-baby. Post-baby I'm the same weight at a size 10, more fat around the tummy area (joy...)

EKmum15 · 09/11/2018 11:15

*saw

MrsCar · 09/11/2018 11:32

I can never believe how tiny people are on these threads. Sorry if that sounds like a criticism or offends, I don't mean to!

It's just that if I go under 9 stone, I look ill. Even now I think I could afford to gain a half a stone, my face looks gaunt at the moment, even though I'm happy with my body.

It must be something to do with build?

Glitteryfrog · 09/11/2018 11:37

5'8" 69kg. I'm happier at 65kg.
I'm about a size 10 - 12 and pretty muscley and fairly fit.

Roomba · 09/11/2018 11:43

I'm 5'2" and weight 7st 9lb at the moment. I usually hover between 8st and 9st but I'm walking about 10 miles each day this year and probably not eating enough extra to compensate. When I've been more sedentary and eaten whatever the hell I fancy all day long I went up to 9st 10lb. That's the only time I've 'dieted' as I couldn't fit in my clothes and wasn't buying a whole new wardrobe.

I think I must have a fairly high metabolism though as my mother and sister are the same height and eat a similar diet to me but weigh several stone more Confused. My thyroid is apparently normal though.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 09/11/2018 11:51

I’m 5’7 and 10.3-10.5 depending, normal fluctuations. I have lost 3 stone this year (nearly). Bmi is 23. I’d like to be about 9st 10lb just for vanity (single figures!) But I really struggle to lose much weight as I run long distances and need fuel! It’s very very easy to eat far more than I burn off.

HairsprayBabe · 09/11/2018 11:58

How old are you OP your metabolism really slows down as you get older - it is pants!

Voodoobizkits · 09/11/2018 12:19

@HairsprayBabe I'm 28 so not so young but not so old.
@MrsCar I agree! How is there so many people weighing g like 8 stoneish?!

KangaFandanga · 09/11/2018 13:11

I'm 5'9" and after dieting and lots of exercise after last baby I got down to 170lbs (12st 2lbs) and a size12-14. I'm now 24 weeks pregnant with 3rd baby and weigh 192lbs (13.5stone)Confused

So yeah, long determined battle to my ideal weight (probably around 10.5 stone) & fitness once the baby's here!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 09/11/2018 13:23

Mrscar I agree too, although 5ft and 8 stone is probably ‘bigger’ than 5.6 and 10 stone. I’m a size 8 now, but I weigh over 10 stone, because I run a lot and am muscular, whereas a poster above is a 10 at 8 stone weight. I have a friend whose boobs weigh a stone! It’s hard to really tell from a thread like this isn’t it?

WhoTFIsAlanBrazil · 09/11/2018 13:32

Weight is only part of the story, you also need to look at body composition.

I am 5ft 8 and 11st 3lbs, and an athletic size 12/14 (I have decent muscle definition and I can see the top half of my abs).

I still wear the same clothes I used to wear 7 or 8 years ago, even though I am considerably heavier now. Weight training has re-shaped my body and a lot of fat has been replaced by muscle.

So although I have put weight on over the years I am leaner and healthier now
