London Marathon 2015?

Has anyone heard that they have a place? My dh and I both applied this year through the ballot. My dh got a rejection today but I haven't heard anything. I'm anxious this means I may have got a place and will therefore actually have to run 26 miles.

I haven't heard anything. I thought it wasn't until October (which I guess is tomorrow now I think about it…. )

15km in to my first half on Sunday I was definitely wondering what on earth I was thinking entering the ballot!

middle-ish of October is when I got the blue smurf man saying sorry your not in last year and I got told I could have a place on the grizzly. that was oct 13th so could be bit longer to wait yet.

should make it clear it was two events I was waiting to hear about, I didn't get offered grizzly place as a consolation prize.

One of the charities on my facebook feed proclaims 'the results are out!'

seen lots of disappointed words on fb, but nothing has dropped through my letterbox as yet

to say i'm shitting bricks is an understatement

Running forums all reporting 'sorry' magazines

A postal worker even said that's all he has seen at his depot.... None saying 'you're in' as yet. Have seen one with a 'yes' on twitter but he might be winding everyone up

Apparently the link to pay your fee informs if you have a place or not, but nobody can find it!!

well, i've clicked on every link i can find on the confirmation of fee email, and zilch

will have to lie in wait underneath the letter box wait for the magazine like everyone else

This is my sixth or seventh attempt? I've invoked the Law of Sod by getting pregnant. It'll be a month post partum so if I am successful I'll have to defer until 2016. The loser magazine usually turns up in the last week of September.

Still not heard today Would like a place this year but seems unlikely.

Got my No magazine this morning. Think I am more relieved than disappointed :o

The charity I run got a silver charity place though which is lovely. I was quite astounded to see all the glossy charity ads in the magazine.

i was out at the time the post usually arrives, and there was nothing on the doormat

took the dog out and when i got back, found the postman in the street - he called me back as he'd had to leave a card . . queue heart rate racing as he fished into his bag and pulled out...

I didn't get a place. But depends when u get your post. Some people have had their magazines saying they've had a spot

I am shitting bricks the size of an elephant because I got a YES!!!! Aaarrgghhh!!! I entered the ballot as a last minute laugh after someone on my running forum mentioned it, literally wouldn't have known otherwise and I had about five minutes before the deadline at midnight. The law of soddery clearly holding good because loads of people in the group who actually take their running seriously haven't got a place and I have. I'm the only yes so far.

i have only been running for a year, and had a hysterectomy in May. A month before before surgery I dared to ask the surgeon if I had time to train for VLM - he said I did, but i wouldn't win.

So i entered the ballot...and now i'm shitting bricks too!
