Anyone fancy a new Insanity thread?

I'm going to start err soon ... Ordered it last night so hopefully it'll be here early next week.

Ill record everything on here to keep me accountable and it'd be great to have some company if anyone fancies giving it a go with me?

As for me , I'm not overweight - 9 stone 13 and size 8/ 10 but I'm really really super unfit and untoned. My tummy is not good ( understatement ) after two kids and I could probably fly to turkey with my bingo wings : /

So - my goals ... To tone up and build some muscle. To maybe drop half a stone or ten lbs. To reach some sort of level of fitness.

That'll do for now

Too wet - I think you're possibly over doing it? How long to go now?

I'm on day 20! Still keeping on! Will update properly later

I managed to do alright with Core Cardio and Balance today, I've been using the ice packs and bandages and I used a mat to cushion the blows for the jumping parts. Still sore but not as bad. It's a rest day tomorrow so going to keep up with the ice+bandages and try to keep my legs elevated as much as possible.

It's my last week on Monday, it's a full 7 days though. The final Fit Test is on the Sunday.

You are both doing great! Well done Smile

I have been avoiding this thread-torn a muscle and got jealous I couldn't join in. As soon as I am repaired I am going to start again.

Boo, that's a bit rubbish fated Haloween Sad hope it's not too sore. How's Stoptober going?

Oh no fated! That's a pain - literally. Still post though if you feel up to it. Any idea on how long before you can start again?

Day 22 done. Pure cardio and cardio abs completed : the abs rather badly and I skipped the abs warm up as I was completely flagging. However - the HRM showed a 50 minute workout and 370 calories burned so fairly happy with that

I'm still waiting to see something more concrete than a few lbs off. I KNOW weight won't drop off as I'm not overweight but I definitely have a LOT of stomach fat which doesn't seen to be shifting. Hey ho - gotta stick with it right?

Absolutely smashed bootcamp tonight Halloween Grin

I was the only one to complete one challenge and the first to do another one. Loving how strong I'm feeling since starting this! I was feeling a little bit disappointed in myself that I've not shifted much of my stomach fat (some has gone and you can definitely see abs forming but to be fair I've not been following the nutrition plan) but it's certainly worked its magic. I think when I do it again I'm going to follow a nutrition guide. My bootcamp instructor offers personal training with a food plan so I think I may ask him for a tailored diet. I'm quite fussy so it limits me a lot.

Apparently the perfect combo is 40% carbs, 40% protein and 20% fat. Hopefully he'll be able to give me some recipe ideas.

Morning all!

Aargh I picked up an injury! Woke up yesterday morning with what I thought was a stiff neck/ shoulder but what I now think was caused by the previous days tricep dips. I loaded up on painkillers and attempted yesterday's workout but I quit 10 minutes into it. Even jogging was jarring it so I decided that it was better to miss one day than try and push through and possibly injure myself further! So yesterday was spent eating my body weight in chocolate and cake and generally being a complete slob. Ugh!

Anyway, although still a bit sore it feels better this morning and its cardio recovery so I shall do that in a few minutes and see how it feels. I'm also back to my usual healthy eating although it was nice to eat 3 Flakes on the bounce yesterday Grin

Well done too wet! Brilliant stuff. What's next?

As for me ... Injured. So fed up. It's my neck/ shoulder and I'm sure it happened after tricep dips. I really can't do insanity right now- I find I'm being all tentative and I can't d any movement without jarring it. So decision made to rest it, I'm taking pain killers and heat pas etc and as soon as it feels better i will pick up insanity from the day that I stopped doing it. I am hopeful that this will be in the next two days so fingers well and truly crossed!

Oh no! What a shame, but best to rest up. I'm currently taking a week off (because I stupidly forgot to book any classes last week for this week!) then going to do
Monday: Boxercise+Body Pump
Tuesday: Metafit
Wednesday: Bootcamp
Thursday: Body Pump+Metafit
Friday: Body Pump+Body Combat
Saturday: Core Cardio or Max Recovery
Sunday: Rest!

Going to look into training for Tough Mudder, signing up for adult swim lessons to build up my confidence in the water and I'm going to get my gait analysis done again so I can start some running.

I'm exhausted just reading that Grin

Blimey!

I looked at tough mudder. It's WAY beyond me! I like the look of it though

It's beyond me too at the minute but I've got the best part of a year to train so hopefully I'll be able to do it. Bought myself an over the door pull-up bar for the bedroom and every time I go past it I do one pull-up (all I can manage so far despite all those bloody push-ups!).

And hopefully after this gait analysis I'll be able to start running properly. I started getting sore knees the first time so got an analysis done which worked wonders for my knees but now I get sore ankles and what feel like shin splints when I run.
