Anyone fancy a new Insanity thread?

I'm going to start err soon ... Ordered it last night so hopefully it'll be here early next week.

Ill record everything on here to keep me accountable and it'd be great to have some company if anyone fancies giving it a go with me?

As for me , I'm not overweight - 9 stone 13 and size 8/ 10 but I'm really really super unfit and untoned. My tummy is not good ( understatement ) after two kids and I could probably fly to turkey with my bingo wings : /

So - my goals ... To tone up and build some muscle. To maybe drop half a stone or ten lbs. To reach some sort of level of fitness.

That'll do for now

Day two completed . Badly. I was pretty slow and as for the press up / jumpy things whilst on the floor - forget it. I had to rest a fair bit but amazingly made it through. Felt miserable as sin as I was doing it though. Absolutely had to 'dig deep' as I was in danger of just stopping. I got to the end of warm up number 1 and thought that was about my limit Shock

Trying to follow the food recommendations so today's diet has consisted of ..

Soya yogurt with blueberries, handful of oats and flaxseeds.

Pot of low fat cottage cheese with dried apricots and a pear

Large glass of fat free milk with a banana and peanut butter blended in

1 whole meal bagel with a shredded chicken breast and some low fat cream cheese.

Morning! Getting up at 5 did not happen (dd kept me awake most of the night) looks like it's going to be a late one for me again today.

Hope you both enjoy day 3 Smile

I'm on day 3 of month 2 fated. There are so, so many push-ups. I seriously didn't know there were so many versions, normal, V, squat, jacks, side, moving Confused

My poor arms may actually fall off if there's more today. Going to put it on after the school run.

Felt really unwell for a lot of today - headachey, tired and light headed so wasn't sure if I'd be up to it. But I dug deep and that's day 3 ticked off

How we all doing today?

Breakfast was soya yogurt with fruit and a handful of oats and flax seeds

Lunch was a whole meal bagel with 4 x falafel and a little bit of low fat cream cheese. Followed by a bowl if fresh melon

Dinner was a big salad with some cottage cheese and chicken

Glad your arms haven't fallen off toowet!

I enjoyed tonight's again, been really good with diet too, just that I am craving a post exercise beer! Must not give in Smile

I have a weekend away with dp in 3 weeks, only need to lose 7-10 lbs total and be back to a size 6 so hoping I'll be around there be then.

Cressida-do you have my fitness pal? I am finding it really helpful keeping track of what I'm eating.

I have a whey protein shake that I make with a scoop of protein, frozen berries, wheatgrass and skimmed milk for breakfast, a tuna salad and some fruit for lunch then a scoop of protein with water at 4 and a banana as a snack.

Protein really helps keep hunger at bay.

Me too fated, I'm rather attached to them especially for MNing Smile

My diet is definitely my downfall. I seem to crave sugar, especially late at night. I've done the drinking water (heard thirst is often mistaken for hunger) but I still find myself raiding the cupboards for naughty treats.

I take fat burners called oxy elite pro and they are the only thing that got me through it! So achey now!

I had max interval today. You know how you sometimes get those incredibly paaaaiiiinnnffffuulll cramps in your leg? Well I got one in my arm from floor switch kicks Sad fucking hurt! But I "dug deeper" and carried on. Very proud of myself! And if I'm honest, I was totally dreading the month 2 workouts but the first month really does build you up to it.

Lots of people on my FB who have tried Insanity have all said they didn't complete it but I actually think I'll be able to do it. Will be so proud of myself if I do it Grin

Well done all! We are doing great so far! I really hope to complete it too. One week done and I'm enjoying the rest day today!!

Had my day off food wise yesterday and enjoyed that. Ate my three normal healthy meals but added a huge bar of chocolate and apple pie and cream Grin I'm so good usually that I'd go mad without a treat day each week

Scales show me 2lbs down this week. I'd like to lose a few lbs but as I'm a normal weight my main focus is on toning up - big style.

So .... Ready for tomorrow girls?!

I am so ready for tonight! Have started a juice diet along with it as joining in with stoptober from tomorrow and know that my appetite goes into overdrive when I don't smoke

Report
CressidaMontgomery · 30/09/2013 15:27

Blimey. Will you have the energy to do insanity on juice alone?

I went out for lunch today with work which I wasn't expecting! I chose the mushroom risotto though with a coke zero so it was fine in the end. Breakfast was a fruit and oat bagel with a sliced banana. Dinner will probably be a goats cheese salad and some fruit.

I think id pass out if I tried to do this workout on juice alone - although I'm no stranger to the fad diet that's for sure. ALWAYS looking for that couple of lbs off. Never happy!
