Right, lets find all the park runners we have on here. I did my first park run on sat.

I am very impressed with my time of 33.18 :) I am ridiculously pleased with myself.

So park runners, where are you?

Hi!

A bit late, but I'm adding myself to your list of Parkrunners.

I've done 18 Parkruns and I am a member of a running club and mainly do 5K, 5 mile or 10K road races. For some reason cross country races don't really do it for me. The idea of marathons doesn't really excite me either. I think I'd get bored!

My current target is to come in 5K is to break 22 minutes.

Love the support everyone gives and receives.

Well done all of you and good luck for Saturday. (I'm working - boo).

IsThatTrue · 21/08/2013 17:59

andymurraysballs 22 minutes I'm not sure I'll ever be that fast.

I have a parkrun friend who told me she's very close to vomitting after every parkrun. I am just not willing to push my body that far!

22 mins! Wow. Amazing. I gawp in awe at all those who finished in 16 minutes (76) at park run. I just don't get how they did it. They were running home when I was finishing the first lap.

Standingonlego · 23/08/2013 07:33

22 - by heck!

I am off to France on holidays this morning, so will be missing ParkRun for next couple of weeks :( I am a bit sad as I was seeing my times come down... packed my trainers and.hoping for a few runs whilst away.

Hope everyone has a lovely run tomorrow morning, i will be with you in spirit (or might be having Wine for breakfast....)

Blatherskite · 23/08/2013 09:59

I don't think I'll ever break 22 minutes! Maybe if I'd started running at 22 rather than 32....

IsThatTrue · 23/08/2013 16:39

Well I felt like shite last night so changed my run today. Wish if gone yest though as its so muggy out there now. I need it though. Then I'm hoping to beat my pb in the morning :)

Meant to be torrential rain and lightning tomorrow morning so doubt I will be doing my 2nd park run. Really disappointed.

IsThatTrue · 23/08/2013 19:30

I'll be running in the rain :) so much nicer than blistering sun.

BIWI · 23/08/2013 19:48

I never, never, never, EVER thought I'd say this - but I definitely prefer running when it's cold Grin

Imwoodword · 23/08/2013 21:59

I'm a bit wussy when it comes to trees and lightning. My mother is to blame from when I was little Grin

Will either do an Insanity workout or do the 5k at the gym instead I think!

Blatherskite · 23/08/2013 22:08

You're waterproof Imwoodword Get out there :)

I'm tail running tomorrow so I have to be there whatever the weather and will be out for ages - from half an hour beforehand to until the last runner gets back which can be over an hour at this one.

Good luck with your runs everyone

thenightsky · 23/08/2013 22:19

I'm running tomorrow, rain or shine. Good luck everyone x

MelanieCheeks · 23/08/2013 22:23

I'm taking Minnie to her first dog show, but I'll be thinking of all you park runners in the rain, and good luck mollycoddles for your colour run!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 23/08/2013 22:36

I'm running tomorrow too. Good luck to one and all!

Hedgepig · 23/08/2013 22:43

Hello I love my parkrun , it's on a national trust property and you have to mind the cows. They are Ok when you are running but a bit scary when you are marshalling and they are very interested in you standing there waiting for the runners to arrive Grin

I'm probably not running tomorrow as my knee and back are giving me gip at the moment .

Bakingnovice · 23/08/2013 23:05

Fingers crossed I get my first rain run. Good luck tomorrow everyone. Really looking forward to reading everyone's post run posts.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 23/08/2013 23:27

Rain forecast here too novice Smile

melliebobs · 24/08/2013 07:32

Well I'm officially today's tail runner. Although with the rain n the Hills putting people off I might have been last anyway! Lol

Good luck everyone. PB's all round! Smile

IsThatTrue · 24/08/2013 07:43

Quenelle · 24/08/2013 09:03

You've all inspired me. I'm off to do my local parkrun now. In the rain. Did it twice two years ago, pb was 31.38.

Have fun everybody.

melliebobs · 24/08/2013 10:17

Being tail runner was great. Really nice to help push people round te course. And the last person got a PB too. 42 minutes!!! Numbers really dropped though Blush

Bakingnovice · 24/08/2013 10:36

It was amazing running in the rain. Really liberating. I loved it although think I'm slower than last week. Saves me right for trying to sprint. I can't believe how beautiful my park is in the rain.

Hedgepig · 24/08/2013 10:46

It sounds like you've had some lovely runs in the rain this morning ladies . I didn't park run but I had a short run to one end of the village and back, my knee held out woo hoo Grin my back is very sore boo hiss Hmm. I hate being injured it's pants.

KristinaM · 24/08/2013 10:51

Lovely and Sunny here today. Ran with 9yo DS who got a new PB, so was very happy
