I became I follower of The Shred in June. My reasons are below. Share yours and let's shred together! I lost 5lbs my first week combining the DVD with WW.

I'm a size 16-18, 13st5lbs, 5'8", flabby, wobbly, unfit and desperate to shift the back fat that's making my new correctly sized bra lumpy.

I want my toddler to stop burying her face in my fat belly and blowing raspberries that make my boobs jiggle.

I want my DH to comment my nice arse again.

I want my double chin to melt away.

I want to walk up 5 flights of stairs without lactic acid burning my thighs and being out of breath.

I'm not going to stop until I'm size 12, under 11st and feel like I love my body again. I've hated my body for the last 13 years and I want to look in the mirror and feel good.

Shred is phase one. If I have to do all of Jillian's programmes then so be it.

hang in there - my legs were very sore for the first 4 days but they're fine now. And firmer!

PessimisticMissPiggy · 02/07/2013 15:02

Welcome all!

Someone please shout at me? Last night I did the first circuit then switched it off because I realised I was doing it half arsed. Feeling v tired at the moment but I know lethargy breads more lethargy so I'm getting back on it today.

Weigh in tomorrow and I'm hoping for another 2lbs!

I find if I'm tired, I don't really feel more tired after doing it so .

We won't kick anyone's butt for them though ...you need to do that for yourself!

IWillDoItInAMinute · 02/07/2013 16:01

Grin @ Grimma

I quite like kicking my own butt as I find that exercise easy!

Does anyone else like to time their punches so the last one is aimed at Jillian ?

GrimmaTheNome · 02/07/2013 16:07

Only the last one? Grin

NoRainNoRainbow · 02/07/2013 19:48

Just did the shred for the first time. I ache all over, I'm so unfit. But will persevere!

HootShoot · 02/07/2013 19:53

Just did my first shred. TWO sets of press ups at the beginning? That's evil!

I also find it hard to believe blondey is a beginner, what with her wash board tummy and all. Maybe she just has really good genes?!

I survived my first one - yay!

GrimmaTheNome · 02/07/2013 20:04

Well done.

Yes... would be sort of nice if they had a 'before' and 'after' demo pair.

Chubfuddler · 02/07/2013 20:09

Blondie is not a beginner. She's our thinsperation.

NoelHeadbands · 02/07/2013 21:06

Day 7 done, after a 12hr shift and with a mother of all periods. Get me

No changes in the mirror yet though my arms and legs feel a lot stronger. Anyone else googling before and after pics obsessively? Grin

NoelHeadbands · 02/07/2013 21:30

Hold on I tell a lie!

There is a dint in my flab, I repeat- a DINT IN MY FLAB!

Just the smallest, shallowest dent on the right hand side, same level as my belly button. My god, this could be the beginning of an ab!

mermaidbutmytailfelloff · 02/07/2013 21:34

Day two done, after a trip to Argos for some weights - reduced at the moment a set of 3 sizes for £10. And a mat. It still hurt despite the extra equipment!

I struggle with the push ups too, it's the hardest bit for me.

AWimbaWay · 02/07/2013 21:45

Did you do it today PessimisticMissPiggy?

AWimbaWay · 02/07/2013 21:48

NoelHeadbands, I'm considering doing my own before and after pics to see for myself if there is any improvement, just not sure I'm comfortable with a full length photo of myself in work out gear even if only for my eyes!

NoelHeadbands · 02/07/2013 21:56

I took a Before pic Wimba. It's horrific Blush

PessimisticMissPiggy · 02/07/2013 22:57

noel well done!

I've got over my googling phase now.

wimba yep. Did it before tackling the ironing tonight. I'm doing wall press ups after watching the links that grimma posted!

Ugh, I copped out today. Blush Excuses: DD woke me up at 6 (before the alarm I'd set to get up and do it first thing), and then took an hour of bloody bouncing and singing to get to sleep tonight! So I did get some exercise... But I will be up and bouncing along with Jillian first thing tomorrow morning, I swear!

Desari · 03/07/2013 00:35

Keep going everyone! Just finished day 7 and I think my clothes seem to be fitting better although it could just be wishful thinking Confused

I did take before pictures but will definitely not be posting them online any time soon Blush

icepole · 03/07/2013 06:52

My legs are killing me. Not sure I can stand to do it today and it's only day three! Don't muscles need time to repair or something? I will do some stretches, try and sort them out.

OverAndAbove · 03/07/2013 07:01

I'm in! I've just done day 7 of level 1. I did five days last week, then one rest day, and one 3km run. Hoping for same again this week, but preferably without the leaden legs and sharp pain in the arm pits!

I will add vital statistics later as I'm burning hot and need a cool shower before work

GrimmaTheNome · 03/07/2013 10:37

Just done my day 10 - one third of the way there. Will try level 2 tomorrow.

GoodtoBetter · 03/07/2013 12:57

Right, I don't understand. Am I supposed to do all 3 levels in the 30 days??? Shock Shock Shock . That's not happening. My plan was to do level1 everyday for 30 days. Have I misunderstood? Sad

Chubfuddler · 03/07/2013 13:02

The aim is to do each level for 10 days but you mustn't rush yourself, stick to level one if two is too much of a push.

GoodtoBetter · 03/07/2013 14:24

Oh shit.

GoodtoBetter · 03/07/2013 14:25

That means I'd be starting workout 2 on Monday Shock
