DS is DC2 and was only 6lbs 13oz. Twas a LOT of water but he was also a month early so probably would have been a bit bigger than average if he'd hung on. And the rest of me remained pretty slim, I was just a walking incubator. I have a really shallow pelvis and short body so I just looked ridiculous. Soupa, I had baaaaaaad stretchmarks on my thighs and stomach (and breasts and bum and back and knees) and while they're completely faded to silver, the crepey effect is here to stay. I will always have loose skin and tiger stripes but in my clothes and in a good light out of them, I think I look okay for a woman who's had two mahoosive bumps.

I'm considering the 6w6p dvd. Or one of the boxsets maybe. Is Jiiiiiiiilyun any less annyoying in 6w6p?

She's much, much more focused, less chatty, so yes i think she is. To me shred feels like a beginner dvd, lots of motivational chat. ( which i didn't mind, yes it does get annoying after a while) 6w6p is less annoying as she's just getting on with it.

It's free on U tube if you wanted to watch it.

Shred level one done, i will jog later. I've consumed 1000 of my 1600 calories already.

Finally 1 kg down! I've been trying to lose this kg for the past 3 months!! Of course when I started MFP a week or so ago I realised that I had been eating like a piggy...

I also did day 3 of level 1 today. I found it really really hard BUT I feel much better now - the dull pain in my arm pits has subsided and I no longer have constant cramp in my buttocks. Hurrah!

I think I might move to level 2, have done level 1 approx 7 times over 2.5 weeks and am impatient to move on.
No weight loss yet though

Are you measuring hilly? I didn't loose weight last time just inches!

Report
Soupa · 26/06/2013 20:07

Showofhands, of course you will look great. I don't mind mine really, a,though they look alarming if I scrunch them up!

Have found my shred and will watch tonight whilst eating peanuts and drinking cider in prep for doing it tomorrow! Weighed self and am 9.13 and measure 38,30,38... Need to loose two inches all round. Baby is going on 7 months so no more natural shrinkage due appart from when I stop feeding...

So if I loose 8lbs over four weeks of shredding, do we think that will give me two inches off most measurements or will it take more?
Is the shred that good?!

hillyhilly · 27/06/2013 13:43

Haven't measured this time, I keep forgetting, I did level 2 for the first time today - its a lot harder but I survived.

I did take photos so I'll do some more in a couple of weeks, they were not that incentivising actually as I kind of thought "you're not that bad!"

Hi all, can I join in? I am on day 10 of the shred, and just completed session no. 4 of level 2. I am combining with 5:2 diet, so having only 500 calories on Mondays and Wednesdays, and avoiding snacks, but not counting calories on the other days. Maybe I will have to start but I'm hoping not to have to, I find calorie counting very confusing and time consuming.

I didn't take any measurements at the beginning, which clearly was a mistake, because I haven't lost any weight. I am optimistic though. I think my muscles are more toned.

Oh hello, I assumed this thread was all people who all began at the start of June but looks like there's latecomers - I joined another thread last weekend but if you don't mind may log in here too (the more encouragement the better). I did day 6 of level 1 today. My legs have stopped complaining when I walk downstairs, arms still a bit sore and still nowhere near being able to do a pushup (even from knees) but apart from that not too bad.

Report
alarkaspree · 28/06/2013 15:58

Grimma I found level 1 much harder on my knees than level 2. The sideways squat move absolutely killed them. I think partly because I wasn't very good at it so my knees were coming too far forward at times. But level 2 has not hurt my knees at all, although they feel a bit weary sometimes...

The push ups are easier in level 2 also.

Report
GrimmaTheNome · 28/06/2013 16:00

My knees are ok, it was my quads which were sore.

The push ups are easier in level 2 also.
really? that's good to know. I probably ought to watch it through in a couple of days time to see if its doable yet.
I think there are some exercises which some people can do and others just can't. Like people who nonchalantly recommend chin-ups.

Report
kefybaby · 28/06/2013 16:36

I also found level 1 more demanding on the legs. I even went back and re-did a session of level 1 a couple of days ago (I am currently half way through level 2) and was sore the day after. Having said this, there is a lot of being in plank position in level 2 which I am not a great fan of!

Report
PessimisticMissPiggy · 28/06/2013 19:03

I can't do a press up! Not even a modified one! Does this mean I'll struggle with level 2? I'm currently on session 5 of level 1.

I couldn't do a press up as a sporty teenager either.

You don't have to be able to do a push up for level 2. One of the strength moves is to walk out your hands to a plank position and then do a push up, but the modified version if you can't do a push up is just to hold the plank position. I can't do more than one or two push ups at a time but because you get a long gap in between them I can manage these ones.

I find the cardio in level 2 brutal but it isn't as hard on my muscles.

I've just done day two of level two, my thighs hurt from the squat thrusts and high kness but I'm managing!

Report
Trazzletoes · 29/06/2013 08:40

Can I join too while its still June, please? I'm shredding with MFP and c25k.

I've done 2 weeks of level 1 every other day. Was so proud of myself yesterday for doing all but 1 press up and all the abs moves Grin

Does anyone else get vaguely irritated by Natalie blatantly "phoning it in" in the background?!!!
