Does anyone want to join me. Its my third attempt started today.

The first time I got pregnant mid way through. Second time was the start of the year and it was too snowy and cold and I was ill.

So psyched myself up again.

I need some company.

I did week 7 day 2 today and it was marginally better than day 1. Am starting to feel it in my legs more.

How are the rest of you?

Well done on week7 run 2 - you're getting v near the end :) how long do you have to run for in week 7? Am going to do early morning running again on Friday I think - am pretty sure am an early in the day sort of running person. Will be cycling into town and back tomorrow and Friday (only about 11 mile round trip though so not too much)

TerrysNo2 · 03/10/2012 23:03

Hello

I feel a bit behind you all as only done w1d1! Running for 26 minutes constant sounds a bit scary to me! Think I am going to run tomorrow evening in my slim slot between putting kids to bed and going out for dinner.

HalleLouja · 04/10/2012 08:26

Week 6 day 3 until the end of week 7 is all 25 minute runs.

AuntieBulgaria · 04/10/2012 15:24

Wk7r2 done this morning.

Terry - I honestly couldn't have imagined running for 25 mins when I started in August and today, it was ok.

Aldi have an offer on winter running gear on 11th October.

My mum, who is in her 60s, has now started the C25k! She's done wk1 twice and started on wk2. Grin

HalleLouja · 04/10/2012 19:31

Well done auntie and to your mum she sounds awesome.

I don't think I will be running tomorrow as have had upset tummy today. Will go on Saturday morning instead.

[waves at everyone else]

Very impressed Auntie and halle on the 25 minute runs. I can't quite imagine doing it happily but I hope so!

I did w1d2 tonight, 4.5km and I felt fine actually, didn't get any stitch today and a few times I felt like I could keep running a bit more. And whats more, I actually enjoyed it a bit Shock

Hope you feel better soon halle think my next run will be on saturday too.

piprabbit · 04/10/2012 23:11

Oh wow - I'm so impressed with everyone's updates. I feel like I've got a bit out of synch somehow and you are all whizzing along make great progress.

Auntie - can we vote your mum in as an honorary thread member? She sounds amazing.

MirandaWest · 05/10/2012 08:34

I did it Grin ran for 20 minutes without stopping :)

And will be cycling 5 miles in about 30 minutes times too....

AuntieBulgaria · 05/10/2012 09:52

Well done Miranda - and all before breakfast?

HalleLouja · 05/10/2012 09:58

Well done Miranda.

I had a banana before running then breakfast when back. Done my bike riding and going to course now and back at home for a while Grin

piprabbit · 05/10/2012 15:06

Well done Miranda - running and cycling!

I did w7r2 this morning, after the school run so I had a bit of an audience Blush especially as I have now found out that the local secondary school starts late on a Friday and they were all pottering along in big gaggles of dawdling teenagers Blush Blush.

I tried to explain to DH that I ran the whole route a bit faster today, but he got confused and said it was too complicated Sad.

HalleLouja · 07/10/2012 09:10

I need to do week 7 day 3 today as I haven't had a chance, with being ill and everything since Tuesday.

OP posts:
piprabbit · 07/10/2012 10:51

Sad Halle - hope your feeling better and the run goes OK.

HalleLouja · 07/10/2012 18:37

A kick in the arse is needed here. Lost motivation

piprabbit · 07/10/2012 18:45

Are you OK, Halle?
Can I assume you didn't make it out for your run today?

It's not the end of the world. You've been making brilliant progress and have been very committed to getting the runs in, it is understandable that you might have a bad week especially when you have been ill.

You and I are both on w7r3 - it would be silly for either of us give up before completing w7. Just one more short run and you'll be on to w8. You know that you've done the difficult physical side of things - it's all about what's happening in your head now - crack that and you can do anything.

countingdown · 07/10/2012 19:50

I ran 27 minutes today, a little bit disheartened though because, when I got home I had a look on mapmyrun and I only ran just over 4km. I kind of thought I would be at 5k by now. My first 5k is in two weeks - eeeeeek!

Don't give up - keep going, I am sure it will get easier for all of us (she says trying not to think of running in freezing cold weather/dark nights...!)

TerrysNo2 · 07/10/2012 20:11

Halle you CAN do it - now get out there and run!! That was my attempt at a kick up the arse! But don't be too hard on yourself, you've been ill so a break is probably a good thing and you can pick it up again, look how much you have already done!

27 minutes is brilliant countingdown I'm sure the full 5k will be fine, is it for charity?

Is it just me who is still right at the beginning?? I am doing w2d1 tomorrow, a bit scared about 90 seconds of jogging!

HalleLouja · 07/10/2012 20:23

I am going to do it once ipod is charged. I went out and it died. Well not fully charged but charged enough for a run.

AuntieBulgaria · 07/10/2012 20:27

Power of Mumsnet Halle - we're all with you.

HalleLouja · 07/10/2012 20:31

Still waiting for DH to get back from the shops and ipod to charge.

OP posts:
AuntieBulgaria · 07/10/2012 20:32

Countingdown - I am having no end of trouble with MapMyRun - it keeps losing the GPS signal in the park where I run and so the run lengths and speeds are just nonsense. If you have another device, maybe you could cross check with that?

I am really keen to find out how far I'm actually going. I ran on the road and down the tow path yesterday as I didn't want to clash with the park run (still not quite ready for that) but MMRun was still bobbins.

HalleLouja · 07/10/2012 21:17

Done. Was the best run ever. Well the best one since week 6 day 3 anyway. I could have carried on if I had so decided to.

Thanks Power of Mumsnet (TM).

Runkeeper died at the start of the run so mapped my run on mapmyrun and I went further than I have been before. Not much further but still further.
