I'd prefer a face-bra DrNo :o

comments are moronic - watch out for those lady bits falling out as you run!

sfxmum · 21/11/2011 12:35

omg the comments, love the 'automobile' pretentious idiot one

DrNortherner · 21/11/2011 12:41

rhet I know - morons! I like 'there are no prehistoric monsters chasing me so I don't need to run'.......not needing to do something can be applied to most things in life.

orangeLFDThead · 21/11/2011 12:50

Yes possible moshi. I broke my toe (and lost my toenail) a few yeas back thanks to ds1. It took a long time to recover. They told me not a lot they can do, but always worth getting it checked out. Is it painful to walk on.
? Hope its ok.
I was also wondering what tummy wipes were, but did not want to ask in case I looked thick. Think I have worked it out now though (was tired last night when read it, more alert today)
Feeling a lot better today fanny. Yeah me and ex actally get on quite well now. Despite everything he did and being nsty, which was only when he was drunk. He now does'nt drink at all. But all the other things the money they just don't matter now more important things in life. He with a nice girl who sems to be keepig him on the straight and narrow. Glad you feeling ok after yesterday. Sorry your feeling low about friends though. Must be tough.
Oh monkey, hope your day gets better.
Well thats a good way to get out of it drno Grin and yeah for the fizz
Thats scarey monkey I don't really like running in the dark, I'm a wuss.
Friends I don't really have many either. Thinks thats probably mostly down to my mother being a religious nutcase and not letting me socialize with anyone at school as they would corrupt me. I was more sociable late teens and early twenties but then suffered quite badly with depression, mainly due to the mcs, and most of my friends didn't want to know. I seemed to have lots and lots of friends/acquitances but only one close. But recently it feels are lives are going in different directions and things don't quite seem the same.
Did hills this morning, did it 8 times and it went well.
Hope everyone has a good day.

monkeyLFDTwench · 21/11/2011 12:52

Never heard it called an ageing cavity before! Hmm

Personally given the choice between (1) flabby arse and (2) a good heart but a few more wrinkles I know which I would choose.

orangeLFDThead · 21/11/2011 12:54

Sfx I'm the same and build walls around me.

Wheelybug · 21/11/2011 12:59

Thanks Sfx. I think i'll just have to make do with undulating rather than hilly unless I ever decide to do a hilly course.... Which isn(t likely (although gnr is hilly isn't it ? Mind you as my name never comes up in the ballot I'm probably safe

Still undecided on the kingston 10k. I am all of a dither !

fannybanjo · 21/11/2011 13:28

What I'd like to know is HOW do these so
called experts know that it's running that causes the wrinkles. Surely there's no scientific way of telling. Wankers on the DM who are commenting will be fat bastards sat on their worn out sofas where they've sat scoffing deep fried lard.

OP posts:
fannybanjo · 21/11/2011 13:31

Can't remember who asked about GZnR being hilly? It's not! There's a slight incline on it but easiest of the three HM's I've done. My least favourite too (scenery wise)!

OP posts:
fannybanjo · 21/11/2011 13:31

GNR!

DebiTheScot · 21/11/2011 14:08

In the huff as it looks like we can't claim for a roof tile which has slipped and caused slight water damage in the wood in the roof and the paintwork in our bedroom ceiling. The quote to get it fixed was £700 Sad

Did shred again this morning. Monkey I think my 2kg weights are heavy! My stomach muscles were still sore this morning from doing it on Sat so it was hard going and now my back aches. Oh and my shin hurt on the bum kicking one.

Whinge whinge whinge sorry.

monkeyLFDTwench · 21/11/2011 14:22

Debi that's pants. What a nightmare. I can only suggest you get loads of quotes and play them off against compare them with each other.

Maybe your 2 kg weights are heavier than mine! DH uses 2 x 3kg kettlebells which I think makes the exercises harder, but he's prepared to work to impress Jillian Smile.

Making a hot citrus pudding to cheer myself everyone up, but it seems a bit too liquid - even my cake has it in for me today.

fannybanjo · 21/11/2011 14:34

Oh Debi I'd be pissed off too. Angry
Why can't you claim?

Put photo on profile of The Gob (ie soft shite me) from finish yesterday. Stunning finish, castle's in the background. Favourite half so far I think.

rhetorician · 21/11/2011 14:42

great pic, fanny - hey, we could have a caption competition Wink

monkeyLFDTwench · 21/11/2011 14:45

Love the picture of fanny milking the applause (so would I if I could run that fast): "LOOOOK AT MEEEEEEE!! I'M FDT!!!!!!!!!!!!"

stickyLFDTfingers · 21/11/2011 14:48

Jazz hands Fanny! Another great trick to get yourself to go faster when you're lagging a bit Wink. You look so happy, it's a lovely photo!

Debi have you had a jolly good argue with the insurers? I know it depends on having the energy to do it, but it can be very effective. If you think you're being dealt with unfairly - even the threat of going to the Ombudsman can deliver results (fanny may call herself a gobshite, but I used to gobshite for a living Grin). Re your aches and pains :( - perhaps you're going at it a bit hard to make up for not running so much?

monkey hot citrus pudding sounds lush. Is it like one of those with the sponge on top and the lemony syrupy bit on the bottom? I love puds - am very Envy of the DDs' school dinners cos they always seem to have puds'n'custard. Yum yum. If it doesn't work out, you can send it up to me, I'll eat it any way it comes Grin

Cant believe some of you saying about friends - but but but you're all such utterly lovely, funny and clever people? I am fully aware of my own limitations: I don't suffer fools (and there are so many) and I love a GSOH. Combinations of the two are remarkably rare. I'm so sorry fanny that your lovely friend is moving so far away. I hope fate is going to send you another good person to be mates with - maybe the running club will come up trumps. Hope so.

So, done the 10 miles, very misty but actually rather nice to run in - soft air! Tho I did feel like the little engine that could going up the hills, was making lots of "smoke"! 1 hour 48 for just over 10.

DebiTheScot · 21/11/2011 14:48

Great photo!
We can't claim as it's just wear and tear, not storm damage (unless I can provide them with a date it happened where the winds were over 50mph)

monkeyLFDTwench · 21/11/2011 15:08

Meant to be, sticky! It hasn't turned out quite like that, not sure what I did wrong but it took ages to cook the sponge bit and I had to keep turning it over. Tastes OK, just looks like a pile of dog sick! DH will eat it though, he's not fussy!

fannybanjo · 21/11/2011 15:36

Oh second sticky re getting on the phone and refusing to come off can get you what you quite rightly deserve. Cut a long story short, a business acquaintance used my personal debit card to pay £14.000 off his mortgage arrears AngryAngry and it went through. It was my savings account and I didn't notice for a while but TSB didn't even stop it as it was quite obviously a fraudulent payment. I had to literally spend 2 days constantly on the phone being passed around until they repaid it. They were giving me all types of crap excuses. I got it back though. Debi if you are truly in the right, DON'T be fobbed off. If they want a date, give em one!

sticky you and me would be good mates! I'm exactly the same.

Million dollar question rhet - what was behind the washer...?!

Just getting my roots done hence mega posting. DrNo I'm fresh to death, hair gonna be all swishy! Going blonder, hope it's ok....

OP posts:
DrNortherner · 21/11/2011 16:14

Great pic fanny I still think you look like Nell. AND you actually look like you are running! I am getting my hair done soon, the festive season do! I was a skanky cow today and it needed washing but I just used my Batiste dry shampoo instead......

I am off to a drill sesh tonight, legs a little sore, esp my calfs.

debi when you were talking about wear and tear/storm damage I thought you were on about running aging us for a minute! Grin

Post a pic of the newly blonde hair fanny

Wheelybug · 21/11/2011 16:17

Great pic fanny ! I need a hairband
Like that to keep my hair under control when running (as the bunches look definitely did not work). Is it a sports one or just a wide one ?

Wheelybug · 21/11/2011 16:18

Oh yes and I agree with Arguing debi. Insurance companies are such chancers.

orangeLFDThead · 21/11/2011 16:22

Great picture fanny.
They have running hairbands at aldi and lidl. I only use mine though when it cold and windy otherwise I get earache. I can't wear hats when running, if even its freezing cold my head feels too warm in a hat.

stickyLFDTfingers · 21/11/2011 16:27

mmmm dog sick surprise monkey! Your DH is a lucky fellow Wink

drno you seem to be constantly exercising! No wonder you smashed your PB at the weekend, you must be super fit. And that article - it's the DM. Of course it's utter shite. Must be fun to work there - what complete drivel will I spew out today?

Thinking of changing my name to spod-u-like. My marathon plan now has boxes to add runs completed and my times taken. I need a job, or at least a nice list of conditions precedent to put in a checklist. I am missing my vocation (of being completely anal with the help of Word and Excel).
