Hi,

Longtime lurker and poster (under various nn) on Westminstenders and these threads.

I'm afraid the other thread op pissed me off a lot so here's another option for those of us that want one.

Wishing you all a Happy Christmas and good luck for 2022.

@DuncinToffee

The headline writer trolling it's own paper?

Nothing would surprise me anymore

The Daily Express tries to introduce a note of positivity with its headline: "Winning war on Covid, fixed Brexit... don't blow it now, PM".
It acknowledges that Mr Johnson's leadership is "bogged down in the controversy".
But it insists that "he still has the opportunity to lance the boil" if he responds to the allegations with "clarity and sincerity".

(bBBC Newspaper headlines)

Clearly all will be well then, because we all know Boris is a beacon of clarity and sincerity - he never tells lies or obfuscates with endless waffle and big words and Peppa Pig references.

Good read with a nice soundbite: This wasn’t the Brexit they voted for. It is, however, the Brexit that we warned them against.

But will the EU want us?
I doubt it.

Our best hope, moving forward, is to ask for a loose partnership arrangement which is what a sensible PM would have aimed for instead of the No-Deal fuckwittery.

But that wouldn’t have worked with we have all the cards (variations on don’t they know who we are). I’m not holding my breathe for any sensible PM showing up any time soon Hmm

I doubt it.

I don't think the EU would mind us being the the Single Market and Customs Union if it were to their advantage. They wouldn't have to put up with the UK whining for special deals all the time, so that would be a bonus too.

I thought that was real at first. That's how awful they are, that clips like that aren't obviously satire.

I'm so angry, and tired and sick of it all.

The voters who voted for de pfeffle knew exactly what they were getting. "Piccaninies, bum boys, letterboxes.
"..all the rest.

Just heard that the life expectancy in the UK has been down graded again...

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe we should be hoping de pfeffle is still in place at the next GE...?

I've complained to my MP, but since he is Hatt Mancock I don't expect a lot.

Exactly. And they need to be reminded of this every time we have a fresh sleaze allegation with it's faux "we're so cross" from some.

The bots aren't doing well

DGRossetti · 12/01/2022 16:23

I see my neighbouring MP "the Saj" (to himself alone) is supporting Boris. I hope it doesn't distract from replying to my MPs carefully crafted letter highlighting the shitshow in importing wheelchair spares (no shortage in Europe, by the way) along with selected assurances about Brexit changing nothing.

In the meantime DB helped source a US equivalent and smuggled bought them over the Xmas break. There is (apparentlyu) quite a market in wheelchair aftercare due to the folk that can't get or don't have insurance.

The company that made DWs first wheelchair - a US import - went out of business because their products were too good. Insurers wouldn't pay for them and (amazingly) the US isn't really a great exporting nation to the UK. Which is another reason why it's probably not a great idea to start a trade war with them.

So many thanks to those that wished well, and on with 2022 !

Cry me a river. I bet he wasn't going to donate £500,000 to Labour even if they were on course to win.

Fuck him. Fuck his money. I enjoy the idea that he's been ripped off by Boris like the rest of the fucking country. Boo fucking hoo.

How many school meals would £500,000 buy ?

Tempting to find his social media presence and clutter it up calling hm a mug and loser. My left shoe knows Boris and the Tories can't be trusted. What's his excuse ?

Spoke a tad of French this morning in an interview. I was amazed it was understood. Je puis parler Francais un peu. Mais j'ai besoin des ans practicer-il. Which considering I was hit on the spot wasn't too bad, I think.

What did he get for his money?
mathanxiety · 12/01/2022 18:39

He is the founder of Phones4U, and clearly isn't paying enough tax.

DuncinToffee · 12/01/2022 18:51

Saw this on twitter

Some ministers will back Johnson to the hilt because the closest they would get to a cabinet under anyone else would be in Ikea.

DuncinToffee · 12/01/2022 19:19

It's amazing the number of blue tick twats Rosie Holt manages to reel in. She's brilliant, my 2nd favourite parody account on Twitter after @RAF_Luton, located just off the A505 on the left by the chippy. Too many serious people take their posts (tweeted from a Canberra) as Gospel. Both accounts are golden.

HannibalHeyes · 12/01/2022 20:26

Ooh, someone else to follow (@RAF_Luton that is!)

DuncinToffee · 12/01/2022 20:31

They are good, thanks for the tip Grin

Jason118 · 12/01/2022 21:45

There was a Conservative Party political broadcast earlier today at which Boris Johnson claimed we had an economy growing faster than Germany and France. I'd love to see where he got his data from.
